- Sonic Unleashed real widescreen 1080p gameplay. Speedrun of Dragon Road Day (Chun Nan Day). I think this is the best quality on UA-cam! I would love to capture this at 60 fps, but the game runs at 30 fps, so I got what I got. It looks spectacular nonetheless.

This game is criminally underrated, especially the Wii/PS2 version.
it is soooo underrated. It actually got better reviews than the HD version.

Did anyone notice all the places in Sonic Unleashed are based on real world locations. Those places are:
Apotos=Greek city Santorini
Spagonia=Italian city Siena
Mazuri=Africa
Holoska=Alaska
Chun-Chan=The Great Wall of China
Shamar=Petra,Jordan
Empire City=New York City
Adabat=Angkor and Southeastern Asia
Eggmanland=Japan.
Wow, I thought Apotos was based on Mykonos from Greece.

In japan the game is called sonic world adventure, but every where else got the name sonic unleashed. So it was meant to be based off real word locations

Late to the party... Still, a great video indeed. It's been awhile since I played this one. I feel as if the level design here is where the supposed "Boost" Sonic games found their epitome. Simply letting Sonic run fast and have a good time. Well done with these videos

Mouthless Sonic is the best in-game design. I know it wouldn't make much sense, but I wish they'd bring back that aesthetic.

@@thawkade Actually, Colors Sonic smiles when starting a level, and opens his mouth when doing tricks. I think that's the best middle-ground, it's my favorite in-game look tbh.

The level design in this version is so much better than the PS3/Xbox 360 versions.

i disagree. the xbox 360 version of this stage is one of my favorite sonic stages in the whole franchise..the wii version is just not the same..but it was a limitation of the hardware, so i cant expect the textures and the backgrounds to be as detailed and high res.
I sold my Wii version just to get the Xbox 360 version. I felt extremely cheated in the low quality of the Wii version, which is particular Nintendo's fault for making the Wii so low powered. The Xbox 360/Ps3 version is the real version and where most of the budget went, so I expect just about everything in that version to be better.
Xbox 360 vers.= graphics/quality
Wii vers. = time/quantity

if you play this game with component cable with an lcd and you change a few seethings screen , the game looks more impressive

I honestly think the Ps2 version of Dragon Road, Cool Edge, and some sections of Arid Sands Day, are better than the 360 counterparts

Overlord of UA-cam A decent game with beautiful graphics (HD version), great bosses, very bad story with stupid childish humor and some incredibly linear but still very fun to play daytime stages. Can't say I'm a fan of the night stages. Chip is annoying.
I agree. I love the day stages not the night stages. And Chip is annoying. On one cutscene he asks Profeser Pickle if he wanted some chocolate. It looked like he pulled the chocolate out of his bum.
ArtFenixAsordis how is the story bad? That’s colors and generations your talking about and chip is not so annoying and colors has more horrible humor same with generations and give the werehog a chance and stop being boring and explore and the daytime levels they’re not “linear” like you said

@@thirdocean3784 Well he is playing the down grade Wii versison Compared to PS360 versions am i right and i played both PS3 and XBOX 360 and it was exellent compared to this plus DLC
Even though the graphics aren't as good, I think the aesthetics of this level are better in this version. The HD version is just a bore to look at with it being nothing but grey skies and the great wall without any sort of plant life. I'm a huge fan of Cherry Blossom trees so seeing those at the end of this level is so beautiful. It's missing the awesome Dragon head and fireworks though.

The Dragon head is available in the Wii time attack versions of the level if I'm not wrong...

Is this game mostly 3d or 2d? I'm not sure.
Dentron Gaming It’s mostly 3D although the levels have amazing smooth transitions from 3D to 2D, as you can see in this video.
