Best DIY for a Jon boat I've seen. Great Job
Would it have been better to use metal boxes instead on the plastic ones?
Got my first boat finally for 60$ and fixed it up in a day with nothing but jb weld and even used it to stick pieces of pvc pipe on the inside for rod holders if it’s in the sun it sets in like an hour or two. Love that stuff
Awesome DIY thanks for the build!!!!
Great idea buddy
Great idea 🙂
Got my thumbs up as soon as I saw the bud light.
Nice , innovative hack bro
cool idea
love your Romans Road bracelet
If you build another one of these save yourself a few bucks and go to the hardware store and pick up one of the large fiberglass tomato stakes. They already have a spiked end, 3/4" and only cost about $9
thanks you just saved me a $1000!
Brady's cool.
GO PATS!
Very cool idea bro you should add a second one so the boat don't swing in circles but even if you don't very cool🤙🏾🎣
Gr8 video.
Let's go Brady and I am from New England
Oh boy he can drink beer
Awesome
You had me at the beer, just Subscribed thank you for sharing!
Drinking beer and catching fish. That’s JT tv
Why not just mount a U bolt on the transom?
Too easy. Lmao
That's what I was thinking. This isn't a "power pole" it's a stake out pole, I was waiting for the power part, lol.
I've been watching your UA-cam channel from the beginning. You've done great work on your little Joneee Boat. Great DIY channel, keep up the good work. Bra,,, will be waiting for the next video.
Just want to say great video gave me a good idea for my Jon Boat also wanted to ask do you have any ideas on stabilizing Jon Boat can't seem to stand up or move side-to-side without it almost tipping any help will be grateful
You must be an electrician also. I have a lot of this stuff on my work van. Thanks for the ideas
Yes I am
@@jttv2113 your boss watching this video like 👌🏻 that’s where my material has been going 😂😂😂😂
Good idea, hopefully you put a bolt "Inside" of the junction box to the boat? Those little clips on the side Don't have much material to them?
thought that as well
Subscribing 👌👌
enjoyed the vid right up until you said bud light. how times change right? lol
Has the plastic held up? Thinking there is a lot of force on that plastic box if it's windy or lot of wave. Looking to make a similar setup.
How is that holding up? This looks awesome! I wanna build one for my kayak. Great video thanks for showing it!
Great man. It’s always fun just building just what ya want and it works haha
Where’d you get that silver pointed metal tip at
Hey JT. What size junction box did you use?
Where did you get everything to do this? Did you order the stuff?
Great video and love that throw back bucs shirt.
I like it. Looks clean, no wires, batteries or tech that could malfunction and cost $$$. Well done.
Do you still have that on your boat or something else now
I believe Riverstick did that in 2014 and fully patent.
Go bucks!
Coulda used a conduit strap
It’s 3 years later…..is there anything you would do different if figuring this out today.? (Aside from the choice of Bud Light……lol)
What brand of screw gun is that
Is the power pole holding up. If so I'm thinking about building one like yours.
Works great
Video shows up on a Google search, but not a UA-cam search lol
Yeah lm sure you thought that all up
U didn’t say what size Junction box or bell box
If you made another one for the other side of the boat it probly wouldn’t spin the boat
Not a power pole....? No power ?
813 baby
Shipping was more than the rod.
Eeeee Bud Light ????
These are shallow water anchors not power poles. You kinda need the power part of the name to make them power poles.
It’s a “power pole “ like a diy. Cheap version of what a power poles does for those fellas that can’t afford the real deal…. For a jon boat.
Ok. So this acts as a stake out pole. Not actually something you run through your battery system. Had me confused. (I'm new to this, so be gentle)
@@greyscout01 muscle power. Takes power to push it down and pull it out
Stop wearing your good clothes to work on the boat! Nice Shirt! GO BUCS!
Still drinking bud light? Hahahaha
Why hell no
Since there's no power to it its more of just a pole.
That is not a power pole. There is nothing powered here...
Thats some redneck ingineering right there 😂
For a power pole to be a power pole the first thing you need would be Power. Does this have power? So it’s a stick anchor then.
Stick anchor doesn’t sound as cool
@@jttv2113 Because it uses muscle power to deploy the pole!!!!
Manual power for those of us who grew up working for a living
Not a power pole. That’s a stake it pole. Power pole implies that it is under power.
It identifies as a power pole
There is absolutely zero “power” in this pole. This has been done for a hundred years. What a mess.
You suck haha
So yea... it's not a power pole. It has no power/motor. It's just a pole...
Ur just a pole
@@jttv2113 hell yea brother! 9 solid inches of pole!!
Builds cool power pole.
Drinks toilet water. 🤷 Can't win em all 😉
That's a manual pole.lol
Pole. Not power pole.
There was no "Power" to your power pole. Click bait.
i got a cheaper and easier way. use an anchor lol
That’s boring.
Some people say “power poles” are better for sneaking up on fish besides using a regular anchor.
Nothing power about that pole
