Wow! That's great. I may actually have to give that a try this winter. If I can save enough money with these maybe I can afford some Forward Facing Sonar. Thanks for the video.
First, thanks for sharing a really nice DIY project. I think you did a really nice job and anyone with negative comments was just jealous. Ha Ha I built a steering system for my Frontier 12 kayak utilizing those type of actuators. I made it where you could either steer it mechanically with foot pedals for use the actuators. It was a fun project to build. John
I won`t be making one for mine but i do like your setup very clean . The only thing that concerns me is the Self tapping Screws vibrating lose . Like i said looks real good
I do alot of my own stuff but I just don't have the tools to do that but I would sure buy two for my kids yah I don't want the kayak mount bracket just the power pole mechanism I can order the actuator arm and wire that, lol but either way great job brother
I’m new too your channel and first off would like to say what a cool build , I’ve been searching around for actuators and can’t seem to find ones that are fast , do you have the name of the ones used in this video?
From my research these are slow like about 14 mm/s I’m looking at ones about 50mm/s even found about 100 mm/s but I doubt they would pull up out of the ground as the higher speed is less tourque
Nice, I am looking for 2 actuators, main thing is cost, can’t find any under 100.00-125.00, woukd love to find a actuator like I want for under 80.00. I want a actuator that the motor is in line with the actuator not on the outside at the bottom like most are. Would like it to be waterproof, 12v, less than 1 1/2” in Diameter, and have around 12”-16” stroke, nice to hv a limit where I can set it. I found a couple but they range around 189.00 apiece. Just haven’t found it yet it’s out there just hv to find it any help greatly appreciated thanks
Hello. Thank you for the comments and for being a subscriber. This was a project that I just started and ended up being one that I really enjoyed. The actuators were the most expensive thing along with the switch... I found these on Amazon and later bought from the manufacturer because I could get them shipped quickly. The square tubing came from Lowe’s and bolts came from Lowe’s or Home Depot. I had some of the materials but I would guess the entire build was around $400-$500 with actuators. It was a fun build! Thanks again
Make sure the actuator is one that can get a little wet. I made the same same power pole with the help of tiny boat nation. Go to that channel if you're looking for small boat modifications
Thanks for interest. I will do what I can to help: answer questions, tips and tricks. The materials, actuators are not to bad. Shipping is off the charts. It’s would be cheaper if you can build them yourself.
Crappie Junkie Outdoors I’m not that good with my hands to build those, but I really want a pair for my 14 foot boat because they are smaller than the micro power pole and cheaper
Awesome job!! I have the exact same kayak, and would love to build these. Do you have an email address I could contact you at for a parts list and measurements? Thank you 🙏
I really don’t have a parts list. I just started building. The 1” aluminum swears tubing was 30” in length. Bought some flat bar and bolts and went to work. There is lots of room for improvement or more precise measurements but I didn’t have those tools. Thanks
Did your research include Tiny boat nation channel? You have almost the same setup that he came up with . How much head scratching can you do when you're concept is off of someone else's mod.
Mike Joned interesting read. Guess your upset because some else built something. As a matter of fact, I have recently found and viewed the channel you are discussing! I have also owned a boat with power poles. Not a hard concept to work. Especial for DIY. I guess you troll others UA-cam channel with the finger tough guy mentality! Sorry to bust your bubble but I didn’t copy the Channel your referencing! My build is on a kayak not a 12’ aluminum Jon boat!
@@morrisonfarmandoutdoors I am not upset at all . I should have worded my opinion in a different way. At the end of the day we are all anglers and enjoy what we do.
Any mean comments aren't part of it to hell with them folks! I love it brother!
Great job, and also love the fact of it running off 12 volt battery. Steve
Very very nice! Fine job you've done! Thank you for taking the time to go in depth with the finer details 👍
Nice job, looks great! That would super handy fishing some small creeks. 👍👍

Live scope! A MUST HAVE!

I like your setup. Very nice construction. Clean installation.
Thank you
Wow! Next level stuff there.
Outstanding build. Nice job!

Very impressive. Have you built a set for your boat ?
Awesome job! Great video...
Thank you

Good job

Thats really cool
Thanks for watching!
New here. Such a cool build. Do you have like a how to or tutorial?
Thanks for the comment. No unfortunately I do not have a video with the build other than this one. It was a fun build.
Also do you know the stroke length of the actuators? Thanks so much!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
New to your channel love the vid about how much do you think you have in them and where did you find the Actuators
And also the wiring and switch

What size actuators?
What type of bushings did you use in your pivot points?
I didn’t use bushings... there is not a lot of force when they are down. Thanks
Crappie Junkie Outdoors in the process of designing some off of fusion 360. Think I’m going to 3D print some bushings for it though.
Got a link to the actuators?? They are a lot faster than mine
Progressive Automation
50lb force
How much would it cost to have you make a pair for me

Hmmm 🤔,,, the height of the build and stability of a Yak ,,, add outriggers Jmo 🤷🏻♂️
