its funny how spot on she was about some of their personalities. It's such a testament that they were able to convey so many traits just through their designs, while subverting initial reactions to a lot of them (mostly the Chthonic gods and other denizens of the underworld). I love this game so much
Yeah, I was surprised on how accurate she was on Achilles's expression being "Sad".
Even her saying that Zagreus is scary makes sense considering he is the son to hades. The character designs were pretty great.

It never occurred to me how sad a lot of the characters in Hades are. So many of them start the game in states of pain or longing
Gotta remember that these characters are involved in tragedies. Sometimes you were fated to just be shit on in the story.

Haha, rigged from the start. Spot on with saying that most of the denizens of the underworld are supposed to look mean and scary until you get to know them. Just like most of the Olympians are all heroic and beautiful even though they can all be quite spiteful if you don't pander to them.

I always just attack the Minotaur first because Theseus just tanks everything with his shield and doesn't even really do that much except the occasional spear throw that you can dodge or even hide behind a pillar for
@@randomusername1735 yeah same but i don't get how i'm supposed to avoid his attacks when he has the gods aid. There doesn't seem to be a pattern in those attacks and it fricks me up
just keep grinding. Eventually you will have upgraded the miror to the point that it becomes much easier.
@@taigor97 Artemis' Blessing on him is the easiest one for me to deal with. Memory serves, he's blessed by whichever Gods boons you have least of.
@@taigor97 Depending on which god Theseus calls the attack pattern will change. Some are definitely easier than others. Pay attention to what colour the circles are and/or what effect Theseus' spin attack gains.
Keep your distance from him and get a feel for the God circles first. There IS a pattern. Then wait for him to throw his spear. After he calls it back, go in and wail on him as he's repositioning. Watch out for his spin attack.
Your mom is pretty good at sus-ing out some characters based on their design and it blows me away every time XD (her assessment of Achilles and Persephone we’re just so accurate!)

This made me realize how nice Hades is as a game. Very few people are bad or evil, at most they're overly stern or dumb.
I think it really says a lot about the people who made it. It’s really just a kind game despite the setting.
Supergiant have a great track record of really compassionate games! I cried so many times playing Pyre, they really know how to tug on my heart strings

I think it'd be fair to describe Hades as "cruel". All of the gods, really, have a clear cruel side and a mean streak. Hades may not be altogether wicked, but the way he treats people who rely on him can be _extremely_ dismissive and heartless, or what I'd call "cruel". Also, I just want to acknowledge how you clearly knew what you were doing putting Dusa at 1.5 in the thumbnail lol

Enjoyed the video, but was a little sad you didn't give context for the majority of the characters as time went on. That's always one of the more fun parts, hearing your moms reaction when given an explanation for the characters, especially one she rates harshly. Still, had a good time, looking forward to the next one.
