I walked into a small place next to a chinese buffet with the littlest whiskey selection. But he had a Weller's Antique 107 for 99$ behind the counter. Better believe i grabbed that! Never know what you will find in small places!! :D
I have a small store that gets things once in awhile. I said, I'm gonna stop today and check it out. My gosh, 2 10yr eagle rare for 49 each. I bought one, saving the excitement for another person also
@robertjr1254 I applaud you for buying one and leaving the other for someone else to make their day. I like to do the same thing. It is great to get something rare or excellent that is hard to find. I don't need 62 backups of Eagle Rare, just one to replace the open bottle on my bar.
To each his own. The people on here making hateful comments need a hobby. They hate to see someone out socializing and happy that bad. As long as you handle your buisness and your fun doesnt get in the way, as a man i cant judge. I dont even drink and you have me watching every episode and collecting bottles to hand out at Christmas. Great Content!
The local pizza restaurant I work at used to have over 200 bottles of bourbon whiskey. Now we're about 125+. Watching your channel makes me want to acquire all those delicious bottles and get them back on the shelves. Great upload as always. Cheers 🥃
ABC stores/states often cap how much bottles can be marked up and you'll find them cheaper than in states where the stores are privately owned and operated.
With it being an ABC control state you always have a chance to get it at msrp! It’s kind of a give and take situation with it though. When bourbon/whiskey is super in demand you see the lines begin crazy early and feels impossible to get the bottles for that retail, but with the current market it’s definitely great for us whiskey fans that are able to get to the monthly drops!!
@@Manchineel3993 yep, first time I’ve seen a liquor store with Blantons, weller sr and buffalo trace all on the shelf. Those prices are exactly why it was on the shelf. I’m guessing they probably get the allocated stuff sold in other stores at msrp and then resell it on there shelves for more than double the price.
It's crazy watching this from England and seeing people saying about find certain bourbons when they are on shelves over here country wide like buffalo trace products and even the more rare stuff I've managed to get like stagg jr, blantons, weller 107 they arent everywhere but you can find them in london even see the really higher end stuff I've seen like pappy, William larue weller, double eagle rare. Blows my mind how it all works over there where its actually made.
Fellow UK bourbon fan here. Found a bar in Leeds of all places with high end bourbons including Pappy 15 at £18 a shot. I’d just bought 2 different batches of Elijah Craig barrel proof & didn’t find them to be much better. I was the only person with a bourbon in each hand, wife was not amused 😂 kids & sweet shops, she wasn’t amused with all the doubles going down. Slowly.
That's crazy to me that sweet heat 1792 is under allocations. All the stores here in San Antonio get them in cases. My local specs normally has 20-30 box piled up with them
16:40 covid made people get new hobbies. It was harder to blow money at clubs, bars and other social things, so loads and loads of people started spending money on new things. We saw market shifts in guns, cars, video games, computer parts, heck everything, and now that more people are interested in the things only a handful of us used to be interested in, there’s more demand. It’s great for the industries, so the hobby has a less chance of dying out, and meeting more people that share the same interests is awesome, however I do wish a large chunk of them would go back to whatever they used to do lol but that’s me being selfish which I know isn’t right.
1792 sweet wheat is not nearly as amazing as that EC toasted Rye. The Toasted Rye is the best EC product I ever had and I have had almost everything they have put out in the past two years. its just crush city so good. bought 5 down to 3. My wifes a rye monster

My wife comments to me she doesn't understand how I can get up so early on a Saturday and go stand in line and I say it's cool I'm standing around with a bunch of dudes who are into the same thing I am and we just bulls☆☆t the whole time until the store opens up
I feel so bad. Here in Cincinnati I woke up on Saturday. Drove to my liquor store, arrived at 8:50; they open at 9. 10 people in front of me and I pulled a Blanton's. They had one case of EHT Small Batch. I drove to my next stop and pulled another Blanton's and went to my next store and got the last Eagle Rare 10 year. Good to be in Cincinnati. 30 minutes to so many good stores. Here's shout out to one of my favorite stores, Union Wine & Bourbon House in Florence KY. They're going to have a Green River Store pick at the end of October. 🙌🏼

Hey, I don't drink, nor know about bourbon, but I like your show. Think you could ever do a show of basics about bourbon? All the words, terms, what's important, why, variations? Point out the best, rarest, most expensive, etc. In your bar? Some schooling and pointers when shopping?
@brewzle have you tried the Koval Cask Strength Millet Whiskey? It's delicious, and I have been hunting for another bottle since I finished the one I had.

The last time I visited my daughter in Bham we popped into Dread River and the bourbon was ok (a little young), but the bartender gave me a sample of their blackstrap rum and, holy cow... that might be one of the most amazing things I've ever tasted!
