- My Phalaenopsis collection dating from 2016 to 2019. In three years I managed to obtain and keep alive 41 plants. My oldest Phalaenopsis I have had since June 2016.
Considering that before I started water culture I was killing these left, right and center, I am pretty proud of how well they are all doing!
I am so delighted to find your channel, i love orchids but have killed every single one of them that i have bought. I gave up on the idea of having orchids until i saw your channel, you have given me hope and love the idea of growing in the water medium, i bought a few orchids from a grocery store mainly to rescue them, because it said to use ice cubes to water the orchid. I have had them for 3 weeks now and so far so good. Thank you for sharing your knowledge God bless!
I wish you tons of success! Please keep me updated on how things are going!
I keep my orchids in tall vases - with filter water (drinking water) .
Fill up water - try to avoid water touching the leaves.
Change water every 2-3 weeks.
Try to avoid bright light .
Danielle,
I watch all your Phal videos MANY times over bc I only have Phals.
Each time I get something new out of each video that I missed in previous watching. I am hanging in there with my 3rd week of WC attempt once again. Patience, as you’ve said, is required!
Thank you for all your educational videos & I hope you have the time to make more Phal videos very soon. ( I know your busy so truly they ARE appreciated)
I love phals. Thanks for sharing your collection.

Fabulous, fabulous display of blooms and roots 😃. Loved the vídeo, thanks 🙏❤️
Thank you Fernanda! I think I can safely say the majority are happy plants! So different from a few years ago!
I went from not being able to get my Phals to rebloom to the majority of them becoming reliable bloomers!
Thank you so much for watching!
They are gorgeous Danielle. Thank you for sharing. Wish mine looked half as good as yours.
Thank you! I’m sure yours will soon! Thank you for watching
Miss Dannaill I love your plants
Thank you 😊
To get them bloom - lower the temperature. Put them outside or anywhere with t. not lower than 12 C / 53,6 F till you see spikes.
Hi Danielle! Beautiful blooming!🌸🌼 Your Phals have very healthy root systems! 👍☺🌞
Thank you 😊
O enjoyed this video so much
Beautiful orchids collection ❤️.
Thank you so much 😊
Hi Danielle, I have a cleaning tip for you. Spray those glass jars down with vinegar. Let them sit for 30 minutes, then wash. You can even wipe the leaves with vinegar then rinse off asap.
Thanks for the tip!
Such a beautiful display of orchids! I
Thank you Eileen!
Every 2-3 weeks - I clean the vase -
Change new fresh water .
Fill up fresh water - (drinking water) - under the leaves .
I have just found your videos and saw this one where you seem to repeatedly mention that some of your plants aren’t blooming in spite of them looking quite healthy. I’m very new to phal orchids, but something that happens at my house is that I keep the house temp in the 60s over the winter months. During the day when we are up and around its set to about 68 degrees, but at night it drops to around 65. Based on things other people have said on their channel, I’m guessing that the lower temps are one reason my orchids are blooming profusely particularly in the winter and spring months. Since I’ve been at this only about 15 months but I think, most of the year my plants are in bloom. Not all necessarily at the same time, but I know right now about 4 out of every 5 are blooming profusely right now! Also, over Christmas most were blooming along with our Christmas cactuses and an amaryllis too. My kitchen/dining room was quite beautiful in spite of the winter making the outside world look rather bleak. I’m hoping you haven’t tried this and maybe it will help you.
Also, I’m loving how you have described your watering process and how the are growing in glass vases etc, without any growing medium.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I no longer have a problem with getting the majority of my phals to bloom, some of if it is that temperature difference you mentioned but also I’ve improved my lighting in my grow room and that has helped as well, thank you so much for taking the time to share your experiences! I appreciate it ☺️
