- The Univibe effect on a Boss Katana can give you that Jimi Hendrix/ Pink Floyd wobble to your guitar sound, a fuzz before can take it to a different realm. In this series about effects in the Boss Katana, Paul from The Studio Rats explains the controls and how to dial it in. The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.

Robin Trower used the Univibe with a slow speed on "Bridge of Sighs." There are no strict rules for the speed setting. Just use it musically.

I didn't like fuzz till I got my katana. Now I'm a fuzz junky. It's my go to effect.

This is awesome. I just started playing guitar a couple months ago and picked up the boss katana 100 2x12. The way the video is laid out is perfect. I'm slightly jealous you're starting off with a 2x12 Katana and you'll never know the pain of using a shitty $150 strat + amp starter kit 😄 I also now own a 2x12 Katana MkII and I would've KILLED for an amp like this when I started out

Hey guys, I downloaded the patch and I try to change the volume but I can’t change it. It always comes back after reset to the volume that Paul used. I try to override it, but I just don’t stay.
i m new , katana have in built effect but then tone is not clear, if i buy these external then it will improve sound?
do fuzzes on the katana sound better on a driven tone, or clean tone?
Sounds more like high gain distortion than a fuzz pedal.
