FFXIV Tsukuyomi's Pain (Extreme): Meteor/Moon Phase for Solo run

- For the longest time this was thought to be impossible to do, but it was recently discovered that by doing a very well timed leap/dash, you can get the 3rd meteor away from the other 2 so that it doesn't immediately explode.
The timing for the leap seems to be around 4 seconds after the markers first appear. This can be done on any Tank Class as far as I can tell, but the timing is very tight and has to be done twice in the fight, and there's the rest of the fight to deal with after.
I managed to replicate it about two times in 2.5 hours of training and it seems very ping dependant. (well I managed to split them 5 times but 3 times they were still too close)
I'd put it in the "technically doable" box. You can definitely do it but the amount of dedication and luck you need are enormous.
Doesn't mean I'll stop trying though. Being able to solo stuff that is considered "undoable" is my jam!

I tried this for a while, it seems like it's all down to luck. I have RaidBoss plugin for ACT, I've found the timing is around 7.5 seconds left on Moonfall, but I still can't do it consistently. It's probably nearly tick perfect timing if the meteor drops work like raidwides - ie it looks like it's instant but it actually takes 8 ticks to apply damage to each player. That would make this a 1-3 tick window to press that gap closer to spread the meteors, depending on how the priority works.
I've been able to solo her now with level 100 Viper, but only after getting the echo buff to 20%, on top of the epic echo buff lol
Edit: now with pentamelded ilvl 710 gear, I don't need the echo buff at all
I'm convinced there's no reason to go through the pain of trying to get a perfect run considering ping is one of the variables. It just takes one wrong tick and the effort's wasted. Just gonna have to ask if someone wants to help me with this ig :(

man, i cannot get these meteors to seperate. I'm getting her to 1% on MNK and getting doom ... so close xD
Did you use your walking distance to time the gapclose or is that coincidence?
Yep, to time it (as i was able to estimate it roughly by walking that distance) and also to get enough distance for a long enough gapclose
Been trying to solo it, I only get one meteor, how did you end up with 2?
3 meteors will always drop. If you don't time the dash correctly, all 3 of them will drop on top of each other. The description has more details.
@@CaptainJLinebeck I'm trying to solo this as Blue Mage, (so firstly, thank you for this), I legit thought that the rocks would explode on their own if hit with the lunar circle thing. Having that explanation is incredibly helpful!
