Welcome Dawn Edwards of Felt So Right!
Marie and Dawn are together in the studio filming a course for the International Felt Maker's Association. Their three-part series "Sampling for Success" tasks them with creating 1 oz sample vessels over a 7 inch resist.
In this video, they come together to discuss the sample vessels they each made on their own. Together in the studio, they will make two more vessels - the Friendship Vessel and Cracked Mud Vessel, which will be released as FREE Wet Felting Tutorials in the coming days!
The full Sampling for Success series with additional video content and wet felting resist templates is available on FeltingTutorials.com: feltingtutorials.com/course/s...

We hope you enjoy watching the first video in our 3-part series, Sampling for Success! The Friendship Vessel with Marie is out TOMORROW, and the Cracked Mud Vessel with Dawn is out FRIDAY! Comment below what fibers and embellishments you would put together to make your one of a kind creation :)
That black and white over resist is absolutely gorgeous. Stunning.
I love working with a resist project. Looks like another great project today.
Beans in the bottom and water in a balloon ... great take away for me on my next project. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm.
Love the use of all the different fibers. What a great way to see how they work up with the different decorative additions.
Vessels are my favorite thing to make. Looking so forward to this!!
Just did my first sample of wet felting. I received my gift from y'all. Thank you!! I couldn't have done my sample without all your videos. Y'all are awesome!!!
Seeing the varieties of possibilities of vessels is inspiring me to start experiments with lots of yarns I have that I haven't found just the right project for!
Love the vessels you and Dawn made. Can't wait to see the both the vessels tomorrow and Friday. Thank you so much for sharing your craft!
Can’t wait for the mud crack video. It’s always great to view in the school because I love the features offered!
What beautiful vessels!!!
Love all the color combinations and helpful and fun narratives 👌❣️
Wonderful..lovely..YOU KEEP our minds going…Thank you..
What beautiful creations. Just wow 😮.
I love the visuals of the different fibers. I am looking forward to both the friendship bowls and cracked mud tutorials. Thank you!
I love to see new creations! I no longer have any of my creations anymore, do to a house fire, but now I’m so ready for a new begining and can’t wait to share some pics of the thing that I do 😃, thank you for sharing
Beautiful! Not that I was able to watch this one, my question was answered ❤ Thank you ladies 🎉
I had to miss earlier but happy to be here now. The vessels are awesome.
An excellent video, even for new felters - gorgeous vessel "samples"!
This is a lovely set of vessels and the small vessel sampling is an inspiring idea since I haven't been felting recently, I think this is just what I need to get back to felting.
So much great information - saving to my favs so that I can refer back to your various embellishments and how to shape - I had not thought of using a balloon. The various textures gave me so many ideas.
Oooh what a great variety
Missed this yesterday because of an appointment but am really excited by this series. Loved seeing the results using the different fibers and definitely find making samples over a resist WAY more fun than just doing a flat piece. This may just get me to be a wet felter after all. Would be even more fun to have a buddy to share the experience. Thanks, guys!
Wow! So much information in a short video!
I'd like more detail on adding beads to a vessel with such a small opening
Thank you both so much. Very inspiring . I will definitely try to make these.
I really like that they are started with the same size and shape template. Shows how much variety you can get!
I can't wait to make some vessels. Thank you for all the inspiration.
I really enjoyed see the various techniques with different wool and how the interact. The pebble resist is interesting
Mud crack would be a great detail to add to a scarf.
These look wonderful
Thank you for a fabulous workshop this was very inspiring
I love the crackle look bowl!
I haven’t been sampling. I’m going to start. I’ve not had any disasters. Yet. But I have had several things that once finished, I realized that “something else” would have made it better. Also never thought of using water in a plastic bag to block a soft shape. Thanks so much for all the info. I’m watching this again because this video has so much useful info and ideas. I don’t know any felters personally so I miss the exciting exchange and evolution of ideas that occurs while involved in a brain storming session with folks that have the same interest.
Just waiting for my st felting supplies kit to arri e! I really can't wait to try wetfelting. Thank you so much for sharing so much info. I can't wait for the follow up videos!
Love them!
Beautiful vessels!
Nice! Now I want to do another vessel!! I did Dawns class and it is great! Will do another, beach themed next! I'm from Michigan too and it is snowing right now, Texas sounds pretty good!
happy to be here
Loved the vessels
These look great
Great ideas from 2 talented ladies! Vicki Bedeian
i will be watching this fr sure
So wonderful great ideas
so prettyy I love them
this will be great
Love to see the reisst methode, now i remember! ( the grey one made of black and white😅
Thank you for the video! My favorite take away is how you cut each one, especially the black and the cracked mud. How do you turn them inside out and keep such a small hole on some?
This is a fun video, showing all the possible variations. Were the design elements on the inside or outside as you were felting?
Want to learn this technique
Hello from NC and lots more of rain. How would you wash a vessel that a put ketchup in it?
Por favor podríais subtitular en Español? Gracias desde España
Fab- u -lous!! Love the inspiration.. Newbie here and am sooooo excited to start a 3D vessel!
