You are such a wonderful, patient, and concise teacher! Thank you. Brioche will definitely be added to the list of techniques I want to learn, especially with such a lovely pattern. Your hat looks fantastic, and your color choices are really fun.

My first introduction to brioche stitches last year was a Katrin Schubert hat pattern called Rainbrioche, it whet my appertite to try more 2 colour brioche. I completed a full size 2 colour Brioche shawl in less than 3 months this year, and I have a 2 colour Brioche scarf in mohair in my 2020 projects lineup, to really test my execution of brioche increases and decreases.
Felicia, thank you for explaining that the difficulty is mental conception and not the action, as once you get it, the rhythm of the sweeps are addictive. 😍 💙💜

This is a great teaching video. I have been trying to do this pattern for 12 months in and off and I think your video will help. The problem I had was it was a written pattern not charted. I think you have helped with it

Oh I can’t add a pic of the Brioche pattern I was having trouble with. Anyway I think mine is increase 6 or or 5 in the one hole to make 6. Thank you. I love the way you teach.

Thank you, that was a lovely tutorial ... just letting you know that the BrRsldec is called a Brioche right slanting decrease, not a right slipping decrease. But keep up the great work ... I love the colours and the pattern you have chosen. 💖

I am intrigued. I have a baby cocoon that I love to knit but it is rather boring - straight knit on circular needles. I am happy to buy this pattern, but before doing so, is this pattern easy enough to elongate? The cocoon is about 21 inches long. Also does brioche take the same amount of yarn - just doing it in two colors as it would with my straight knit?
    Thank you for your thoughts!
    Stephanie

Felicia, your tutorial has been a great help. I understand the increase and the decrease stitches and just did the first row. However, since I've never done brioche before this hat, i have a question: on the Rnd1 CC when I am knitting the increased stitches for the brp1 do I just take two stitches at a time even though there's no slip over it making it look like a brioche stitch?

It would have been A WHOLE LOT EASIER to SEE where the STITCHES are going if you had used 2 CONTRASTING COLORS of yarn and NOT a variegated yarn!🤪
