Brioche Knit Tips: The Brioche 6 Stitch Unwrapped Decrease (br6st Uw dec)

Brioche unwrapped decreases are different than traditional brioche stitch decreases because they do not allow the wraps in the contrasting color to peek through on the right side of the piece. With the 6st unwrapped decrease your knitting look neater because the 2 yarn colors will not mix and obscure your stitch pattern as you form each stitch. They have less directionality than traditional decreases in a 2-color brioche stitch pattern.

Thanks for the video! I was trying to find out whether anyone omits the wraps from the previous row before decreasing in order to reduce bulk too. Of course, you still need to move and knit all the CC purl stitches as in your video, but would this work with skipping the previous wraps? I'd love to know if this is something you've tried, and what you think of the outcome

Wow!! that's one awesome decrease! Brioche stitches seem to be looser than knit stitches so decreasing with so many stitches at once went rather smoothly. Do you agree or am I just a very loose knitter?
Either way, thank you for the video I don't think I would have gotten this right reading the written steps.
