Goodness! A complicated action made straightforward! Thank you.
Very nice Maryna! I haven’t needed to do any decreases in brioche yet. When I do I know where to look! Thanks so much!💕
My decrease 1 st at beginning of my brioche pattern isn't working. I just want a knit stitch as the 2nd st so I can pickup and knit around for the neck ribbing and when I get to the wrong side I have a yarn over sitting alone and I don't know what to do with it. No one explains how to work the wrong side in brioche.
Hi Edith. No matter whether you are decreasing on the right side or the wrong side of the work, always treat a stitch + yarn over as one stitch. In some sources, this duo even has a dedicated name - a brioche knit or brioche purl. Happy knitting :-)
Thea: I understand that the yo and the k stitch s/b treated as one and when I do this on the good side it changes on the wrong side to a purl. This is where I am left with a single yo and no k stitch to go with it. I also only want one row curving along the edge not 2.
@@edithabate172 Edith, it would help if you could email me a photo of your work with that "left-over" yarn over. My email is maryna [at] 10rowsaday.com. Thank you.
