Just made this bacon…..excellent!!! I did test it in the oven for about 10 minutes @ 400 degrees, it was just as good as frying. Thank you Mr. Burger Dude!
I made this tonight and it was DELICIOUS. I’m going to use 3 sheets next time to get more bacony flavour but my non veg boyfriend loved them too! New favourite cooking channel ❤️
Saw your channel from Sauce Stache and I'm in love. Have watched most of your videos already. Think I'll do doing a baconator with your beer cheese for my next cheat day.
I do it slightly different. I use one whole rice paper to build one stripe of bacon. After marinading I fold it into one stripe. It gets slightly chewier and contains also more taste because every layer contains the marinade.. it’s also easier because no cutting no mess.
FABULOUS! Thanks for sharing this recipe! We are storing ours between two parchment paper sheets rolled up like a scroll and stuffed into a reusable baggie. Great video, loved that you switched up and found a better way without waste and showed us - that helped SO much, it can get tricky! Thanks again!
Much appreciated @TheeBurgerDude...😃😃😃😃 Definitely will try this out the next time I make pizza or perhaps even make a vegan version of green beans, "bacon", onions with sausages and baby red skined potatoes....😏😏😏😏 Bon appetit and have a safe healthy splendid Saturday night... Night night from Southwest Florida
Used this to make vegan bacon wrapped dates stuffed with mac nuts on New Year's Day. It turned out well. Appreciate your videos and recipes! Thank you!
Love this recipe as given! Great results and appreciate another comment that baking these lacks crispiness. I did add one more sheet of rice paper today, added cayenne a bit more garlic & maple syrup and some vegan spicy bacon seasoning. My family found those additions caused the strips to taste even more bacony for us. Thank you very much for a great recipe!
love it thanks! I just cut the paper right in the pan with a plastic knife. edit: 2nd time around just chucked the whole sheet into the pan and cut afterward.. works like a charm. next time I would either omit the oil or put in half tbsp (preference) as for me it was WAY too oily. tried without (wetting) water first... you should dip in water first :)
Thanks for this recipe. I made this twice now. It is easy, tasty and quick. Leaving it in the fridge overnight, it really absorbed the marinade. Yield wise, I get two good dips and then the last one with a little less marinade on it.
I’ve always had issues with finding veggie/vegan crispy bacon alternatives and this recipe made my dream of bacon come true! It really hits the spot, so crispy and salty. Thank you so much for creating this video! X
I baked mine. Big mistake. Next time I’ll spray a frying pan like you suggested. Mine were too chewy. And I’ll leave out the maple - was not a fan of maple bacon previously. My last batch was the Edgy Veg version and it was too salty and too sweet at the same time. I’ll keep it simple. Soy sauce, cracked black pepper, smoked paprika, oil. Dash of liquid smoke. Done.
Oh no! Yeah that's why I prefer to fry mine. Easier to get the texture I like. And definitely make the marinade to your tastes. I personally can't really taste the maple syrup, but if you don't like it, totally leave it out! Good luck!
I watched a youg woman a couple weeks ago who made vegan bacon from four different things---carrots, rice paper, eggplant, and mushrooms---and each one was "delicious," according to her. She did the rice paper one almost the same as you, spreading the sauce all over the paper before cutting it and cooking it in the oven. If she didn't use the extremely vile language she does, I'd have subbed her channel, but.... Anyhow, thank you for showing us this method, which appears to be quite simple. I'm not vegan, but I do very much enjoy a spicy bean burger and having vegan bacon on it would make it that much more enjoyable.
I haven't had a Wendy's Baconator or a Carl's Jr burger in almost 8 years, since going vegan. I've been jamming homemade BigMac burgers for the first time, they're the Best. Now, for the Baconator.
Will IT'S JUST brand of premium yeast flakes work for the nutritional yeast for the vegan bacon or that something entirely different? The vegan cheese flavor substitute is throwing me off in the description on the package, so I wasn't sure. Also I found Bragg smoky barbecue nutritional yeast, I was wondering if thought that would work for vegan bacon?
Good old liquid smoke. Only legal in the US ;) so was this a video of a guy copying a guy making a video who also copied a video of a guy making a video?
You've very quickly made one of the best vegan channels on UA-cam. Love you dude.
thank you so much!
I agree!

That’s awesome!! I love that!
Let us know how that works out please, as I was thinking that 3 would be optimal.
@@ms.lgraves4147 3 worked out really well! It gave a bit more chew but I would add more seasoning as it is a little subtle still
Your videos are so clean and to the point. Best videos I have find so far
thank ya so much!
Yum!! Yeah this looks a lot easier than other vegan bacon recipes I've tried. Bookmarking this for next time I want to make a fancy weekend breakfast!
Awesome! Please show me the results, I'm sure you'll knock it out of the park :)
Thanks for the tutorials, my mom is forced to be vegetarian meat makes her sick but she loves bacon, can't wait to make this for her!
I’m not even Vegan and I enjoy your videos.
You just made my vegan bacon dreams come true! ❤️🥓 Thank you for the amazing recipe, and the great description on how to actually put it together! 😊

That would be an amazing combo! Glad you find me, Sauce Stache rules!
I’m trying this tomorrow. Love how you made it so much easier than previous versions I’ve tried.

Hey. I just made this in my air fryer [ **chef kiss**] amaZING!!!
Ohhh, what time and temp did you do?
Thee Burger Dude ~5.5 minutes at 400° F

your recipes are unique and delicious and help me be more accommodating for my vegetarian friends

Love your work burger dude! Thanks for the good vibes and tasty foods!

It would make it so much better 😊

I've been jamming homemade BigMac burgers for the first time, they're the Best.
Now, for the Baconator.
Hi, if I make too much rice paper bacon, can I freeze them after marinating or do they keep better in the fridge. Love your videos. Thank you!
That is a good question, I'm not sure, but I would guess it would be ok!
Nice! But how do I store the bacon once it finished? How long does it last in the frig.?
This bacon is the best!!
Do they stick together in the tupaware?
Does Accent add any flavor? I'm using MSG from an Asian market but I don't think it has any flavor? Will that work?
What’s the nutritional value of the rice paper🧐
Do we still dip in the water prior to the marinade?
So has anyone tried this recipe air frying them instead of frying them?
Hello Could I use the bacon seasoning alone or should it be added with other seasonings?
That kind glue is called fugitive glue. Why do i know that?
Would Portebello mushrooms work?
thoughts on using air fryers for this recipe?
I actually use my air fryer to make these, I find that frying them, they are jus too easy to burn. 400 degrees for about 10 minutes..
Nooch = vegan law 🤣🤣
I must try a bacon guacamole burger!😍
You absolutely MUST!
I let the marinade wet the rice paper.

It won't taste cheesy, but it'll impart some UMAMI! Yes that should work!

Where do you get this thick bread at it looks amazingggg
Smart & Final, Wal-Mart or Kroger / Ralphs!
@@TheeBurgerDude thanks!!!
What's the freezability of the raw and cooked rice paper?
I've never tried it so I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing it would work!

Parchment paper, my dude
The marinade tasted very good but the taste just doesnt translate to the bacon.
Does brown rice paper make any difference? Thank you
I'm not sure I've never used it!
@@TheeBurgerDude 🙏 thanks for getting back to me, mack
Man, you know you use your pizza cutter a lot if you break it lol
Good old liquid smoke. Only legal in the US ;) so was this a video of a guy copying a guy making a video who also copied a video of a guy making a video?
Burnt my first batch 😭
Lower the heat / cook less / do a few practice pieces 👍🏼
