Naomi Akande right
To be an Aussie lifesaver you need to have a 18/20 eyesight!
why are you sorry? it's the truth.
Seriously, dude must have been a hawk in his past life.
He is incredible. Period

I remember me and my friend unknowingly got dragged out REALLY far at bondi when we were swimming between the flags and I didn’t think anything of it as I was so unaware. But when I looked back to the shore, people were legit were the size of termites. The rips were mad. Two lifeguards spotted 2 little heads bobbing out of the water really far out and dragged us both back in. Thank you for all the lifeguards around the world saving lives everyday!

The fact that this show is about saving people from imminent death but somehow manages to be so fun and upbeat blows my mind
It has to be fun and upbeat or people wouldn't watch because it would be too sad and serious for continuing series.
its called pride, they think "I would have made it anyway" and just laugh it off, its called deception of the mind, it usually takes a few hours before the ball drops down, that is why you should go to see a doctor or talk to someone after things like this has happend.
They saved me from a suicide attempt, they're the nicest people you will ever met

Am I the only one who thinks that adults get rescued more than children is that crazy
The Dj Galaxy Unicorn yeah, I think it’s because adults think they are stronger swimmers than they are 😂
Maybe because children don’t go too far maybe 10-15 metres while adults like to go 20+ metres
The Dj Galaxy Unicorn next generation my guy gonna be lit
Honestly though, it’s so weird? I want to be an Olympic swimmer and a life guard when I’m an adult.
J A yeah. But me and my best friend go all the way out to where we can’t touch the floor. I’m just randomly saying this but, on the summer holidays I think I got stung by a jellyfish when a big wave came, It hurt a lot and my back was red and there were weird lines on it. It didn’t hurt that bad to the point were I would cry.
Has anyone just found this in their recommendations and just now catching up with the whole show ???
Why is that so accurate?
Yeah been stuck here for 3 days 😆
YEAH-
Yees, I'm addicted now lol
Yessss! So addictive!
Harrison must have 20/20 vision to see those people at the other end of the beach. Lucky he spotted them! Great episode as usual. Hope you all have a safe and merry Christmas 😊
Merry Christmas!
You to
You to
Positive Vibes he seems to have a great eye for spotting people.
just a cool fact, 20/20 vision is actually normal quality vision. I have 20/15 vision, which means i can see things from 20 feet that average people can only see from 15 feet. People think it's like a 19/20, 20/20 scoring system, it is not! 20/20 means that you see 10 times better than 20/200, and ten times worse than 20/2.
Can Harrison zoom in with his eyes?!
He is always the first to see stuff🤯
He's part eagle
I’m sure he can
That's why he became a lifeguard.
I think he has at least 3 different types of lenses going on in his eyes, micro, regular and macro 👁😂
They need to put this show on every airline tv so tourists know what there doing.
Agreed compulsory viewing for foreigners
Great idea!
It used to be on television all the time. I grew up watching it in Norway
I actually found a scientific journal article assessing the impact watching Bondi Rescue has on surf safety and drowning prevention, and we have decent evidence that is works, so your suggestion is backed up by science.
I wish Netflix would pick this up so I could watch in America. I love this show!
But you're watching it in America right now though 🤨😂. And I think they post almost all of their episodes on UA-cam anyway so there's nothing stopping you from watching it anywhere 😂.
When I saw this comment I thought the same thing. I live in the US on the east coast and I watch the full episodes they post all the time 😂 lol.. when I’m just scrolling I’ll watch the compilations and stuff but for the most part when a new episode pops up I watch it so I don’t know how they can’t.
Also, I don’t even have a Netflix lol.

After learning about all the training they do there's no way anyone is outrunning them. They basically move at least half marathons everyday, and run for miles for training. These guys are tiptop shape and no ones gonna beat them!
Plus they are running in sand, that's a workout within itself lol. Running in sand is difficult.

Harrison has the best eyes in the game and I mean that deeply. I’ve watched every single bondi video and his sight for drowning heads is second to none. Amazing stuff.
"There was heaps more rips than lifeguards."
Most Aussie sentence I've ever heard.
"See this snake it just bit me it's quite venomous so like I will probably die in an hour but you know probably walk it off may need an Ambo tho. "
Loved that moment at 12:20 when Deano called that dude who saved those girls an Aussie and he just looked so genuinely surprised and pleased. 🥰 Must have felt validating to be dubbed an Aussie by an Aussie. Crazy that he didn’t think he could call himself that even after 15 years of living there! The fact that he just put his life on the line saving those two young girls he didn’t know and was just so humble about it. What a cool guy. A true hero.
That was cool!

Australia is a better place with Kauri living there. :)
It’s crazy how many people they save in a matter of hours. This truly proves that not all heroes wear capes.
I prefer them in swim trucks 🤗
Agreed
Harrison has a 20/20 vision
My friend and I got swept out and felt like we were going to drown. We kept getting smashed by waves and drug out so far, until these strong arms wrapped around us. The life guard was able to rescue both so us at the same time while communicating with us. He told us when we needed to go under, that we were ok and that we’d be on land soon. He walked us all the way to our moms and made sure they knew what happened. He was more caring then our moms were, I never forget him
Harrison slowly became my favourite person on the show with each episode. He is so passionate about his job you can see him in any situation just observing the water for people in need. Not to mention his hawk like eyes! Really appreciate how attentive he is.

Cary (the sweet fella from India) seems like such a happy guy. His son was precious too. I’m so glad he was so selfless in that situation.

It honestly disgusts and saddens me to see people stealing belongings on the beach. There are some really sad ones especially when there are tourists who have had their money, passports and everything stolen and they never got it back or found the thief. I can’t believe people don’t have a heart and do these things to others.
I am baffled as to why they take their passports to the beach makes no sense to me

I’m so glad they got the little girl out. I’ve seen too many times that kids were left in the car and didn’t make it. Breath of fresh air for me too 😊
I felt so bad for that grandma, just a simple mistake and she's watching her granddaughter suffer. Glad it turned out okay because it could have become a tragedy so easily.
That's one thing I love about my car the door won't lock if the key is inside the car.
If I was the grandma I would have broken the window myself sooner
@@soxpeewee if only you were there Carol
@@soxpeewee Car windows are extremely hard to break. That's that's why police have window breakers. It's not impossible without one but very hard and a grandmother having trouble moving would be unlikely. Just type in car window breaking. You'll see cops try anything they can to break them but almost always unsuccessful until a window breaker is there. Same with parents and strangers.
The pointy end of a car headrest usually works. In a busy car park like that, it should be easy to find one.
What makes me the most confused is the lack of thankfulness. Like..
Some people are in shock moat of the time or are embarrassed becouse of there mistake. And also the cameras can make them nervous I think
@@Alien361 I appreciate you're giving folk the benefit of the doubt, but you're leaning way too heavy into it
A LOT of people on this planet are terrible people, arrogant and ungrateful people - it's not a stretch to assume where there's folk, there's assholes
I've seen plenty on this show who aren't embarrassed or in shock, they're just plain old ungrateful and arrogant
Maybe it’s because of a cultural difference.
Wow! Proud to have this Indian hero on bondi beach, Australia....love from India.
Imagine thinking you actually have a chance of outrunning lifeguards... Especially while being untrained. That thief was very special 😂
I’ve been watching this show for about 7 years now and I’m only now realizing the lyrics are “ take me back to the sweet times, the hot nights” and not “take me back to the sweet times, that I’m nice” i don’t even have words-
I thought it was the hot nines 😂
Ruth Frempong Bahahahaha omg🤣
can't help but appreciate the kindness of others around who step in to help simply because it's the right thing to do - we all are and can be life savers too (even by doing something as little as lending a helping hand, it could make a big difference).
Kudos to the father from India who couldn't swim too well but didn't hesitate at all to help the mother and daughter - he set a great example for his two sons :)
This show just blows my mind. I watch the lifeguards at my city pool and 99.9% of the time they don't see someone struggling and it's the other swimmers that end up doing their jobs for them but these guys see everything !
I would’ve been mad at the last guy.
Also do people not fear the ocean? Why would you go in if you’re not a strong swimmer an the lifeguards are off duty
They might not be used to Aussie waters and underestimate the power of the waves and currents
The current is usually the cause or dragging people unaware into deeper water. Especially since you can't see the deeper pockets where there's a bit of a drop off from eroding sand. One step there and you lose your footing.
not all oceans are the same, depends on where it is i’m sure. not everyone is afraid of the ocean. i’m not and i still go in, just not deep since i can’t swim

It's heart warming to hear all the positive affirmation given to people just trying to help.
I love the boys in blue at boy they do so much for the community and keep so many people at the beach and save so many people from potential drowning
Amazing how they spot trouble amongst so many people! I wonder if they can ever relax on a beach without being able to be on guard constantly ! Wow amazing people !
They do tend to always be aware when they are casually at the beach. There was at least one episode where two of the lifeguards eere off duty and they saw some people that needed rescuing and went to help.
It looks like all the Australians are great swimmers while the Asian tourists often need rescuing.
Australians are water smart, Asians aren't
Yeah that’s because Aussies are like casual with the beach
Because lots of asians can’t understand instructions, it’s a huge problem when they don’t have common sense either
the vast majority of Australians live within just a few kilometers of the beach, we just grow up with it
most of the asians who visit bondi, is probably their first time at a beach
I so love this reality show.
It is funny, sunny, and lovely. Sprinkle in lifes drama and lessons and you got it all.

One of my worst fears is locking/forgetting a kid in the car! Poor baby and g’ma
I come from Croatia and on Adriatic coast swimming is fairly safe, there are no huge waves very often and I have never heard of rips before.
I learned a huge lesson in Portugal. Big waves knocked me down 3 times in a row when I was trying to get out of the water and when you hit the ground, it is not sand anymore. I thought I would break my legs/arms. Luckily, my guardian angel saved me. The rest of my holidays, I went exclusively to bays😊
