We did a similar build , a big block 993cc Briggs Vanguard V-twin turbochaged with garret GT15 20lbs boost and installed it into a 2003 Harley road glide . bolted right up totransmission 120hp 115lbs torque at 6000RPM 90 degree v-twin had no/littke vibration BEST touring engine ihave ever ridden. Looked like factory set up. Best build we ever did. Gave toNephew who traded for Triumph 675 sport bike . Could have killedhim lol.
Count the blessings of not being impaled in the chest by that rod when it tried to rare up. Impressive build.. I didn't see the wheelie bar. That explains the spinning tires. Those saved the day. That rod ...... I'm sure it was for something. Surely ye joust. -Ray Stevens
Your video is pretty sick!!! LMAO, I've been building what was going to be a 570cc vanguard for my golf cart to drag it but originally was doing a turbo system. BUT after more than 3/4s the way in and having everything from the engine done with a 254 degree duration @ .050" Dyno Cams billet cam, after thinking and thinking about all this shit running a blow-through carb, I decided to make a change to a Eaton M-90 which is going to be cut down for packaging yes it's way overkill for the size engine but nothing that can't be addressed by underdriving the thing easily enough. Your engine is very very impressive shit Man! Especially the RPMs you held it down at for so long and nothing popped or blew apart lol! So I don't plan on ever having to keep it pegged as long as you have on a pulling rig so hopefully it will hold together for a while? Time is to tell me that answer, billet rods no real flywheel, crank triggered 12v ignition system with a advance/retard I'm building right now to be actuator adjusted so it will pull timing out for starting and while the boost pressures increase, but won't be a locked timing which has its benefits, but is not convenient to turn key situations. What did you happen to run for the ignition setups on yours? Has to be at least an ARC 2 piece flywheel to hit the RPMs you were able to!?? But, hey brother, hope all's well and your still wrenching on the small engines. Let me know if you have a chance to BS? What you were running inside and out on your Vanguard, be very very cool to hear!!! Your engine is very impressive! Thanks for posting this! Made me feel not so mental when it comes to this shit LMFAO have a good night. Jim
That thing is a beast! Is that one of the Eaton m24s that were donated to the colleges? You're probably in ME someplace right? This vid made me want to get an m24 and do the same. I would like to know what other mods you've got on there and on what block. The snout of that charger looks shorter than other m24s I've seen. Not sure if you'll respond to this.
notice it doesnt have a transmission to change gears?...that would be why it didnt go fast....engines dont make the vehicle fast , the gearing in the drivetrain does.....helps to know shit like this when commenting on someones project
I haven’t never seen a riding mower take off like that!!! It’s a good thing it isn’t geared any taller or it would probably be totaled. That is not set up like a racing mower so it’s not gonna handle worth shit running 40mph or how ever fast he was going that was to fast on that thing

That thing pulls so hard it extended that day by 2 minutes lol
Love the sound of this thing

Awesome! Definitely love to see more on that build
Lmao. You're definitely making some power there. Good job making it run good like that.
I love this thing, it belongs in a Doritos commercial
holy you built your pipes the way i planned to build mine
that sounds like a small block chevy. Jesús that is loud
She sounds mean af. Beautiful sound

What did you do for timing
How did U use the belt?
I know this is 7 years ago but how is the blower being cooled, I honestly dont know much about those m90s or how tight the rotor spacing is?
good machine good first name, your alright!

Craig Scholes well vanguard is several models I just own a 22hp think that's the biggest vanguard
cross thread cody 37hp is the biggest
that wasn't even fast
notice it doesnt have a transmission to change gears?...that would be why it didnt go fast....engines dont make the vehicle fast , the gearing in the drivetrain does.....helps to know shit like this when commenting on someones project
For 1, that's really good for a mower. 2 DID YOU SEE THE ACCELERATION ON THAT THING??
It’s a pulling tractor it’s not supposed to go fast
I haven’t never seen a riding mower take off like that!!!

Anything can go fast when geared for it, that thing is.a beast
