Agreed, I remember hearing about this case and the supposed reason for pretending to be killed in the line of duty was so that his wife would get his insurance and pension and thinking the investigation would be dropped. Those 'super' cops, as this guy was supposed to be, are often looked at with skeptical eyes by others, we had one in my area that did PR for the CHP talking about road safety for women. He turned out to have targeted and stalked women and killed at least one that we know of on his watch.

Feel somewhat nostalgic about it too though, recently made a new user there, but it's indeed glad to know that now it's just like a relaxation thing at the end of the day (and mostly because I love the beautiful rooms and scenery there and well, random chatting is sometimes fun too), not the only world I can be...
I live 3 min from Fox Lake and remember the case with Joe. They shut down my daughters school because of the “shooters on the loose”. He’s HATED here. The parades we had for him, and all the donations to his family! He’s disgusting!
I didn't realize that there were two additional stories after the first. This almost 24 minutes has caused me to rethink relationships that I have. I live in a senior building where people don't realize that they are not thinking as well as they used to and maybe are developing some sort of senility. They forget the good things and ways that I've helped them and recently got angry at the drop of a hat. I was holding them accountable for their unsensible bad behavior but I realize they may not be able to help themselves. Sometimes it's best to let things go. Things could escalate into something as ugly as we have seen in this video. They were all otherwise normal people until they weren't !! We are complicated beings and there may be no safety net if things go wrong !! Thanks for the enlightment❤🎯👍!!!
I'm from Fox Lake, Illinois and yeah, that whole story was insane and the more we all learned, the crazier it got. They had schools and businesses shutdown while the manhunt was happening. People were genuinely scared

On case #3 I can’t believe it’s been that long since that happened. It was a weird summer and when it happened we had a heat wave. The first night it happened many people stopped by dropping off food and water for the volunteers searching for evidence. That went on for at least a week or two. The area was locked down for a few days out of safety. So many people were trying to set up fundraisers. When the truth started coming out it was almost unbelievable. why is it called getting catfished when your chat friend has never intended to be anything more than friends, though? There's nothing to forgive there. I had picked male avatars or nicks occasionally on gaming sites and that had to do with me enjoying my character. And one of the gamers I used to pm with said something similar to me and I was like "excuse me?!" the stuff we talked about outside the game had nothing to do with genders. I still cant believe he would do something like that. there were rumors too that the angle of the gunshot couldn't have came from his own hand and it was also rumored he was investigating the chief for corruption. the whole thing was a mess.
Actually, something is off. The second case, that 83 yo guy was living in a nursery home with his wife yet no one found him until the next day? Very suspicious.
She may be a twisted person, but she is 100% not responsible for the murder. There is a long history of blaming women for men's rage and it needs to stop. Just because she was lying to these men, doesn't mean she is responsible for murder. That was Thomas's decision.

I thought it was rather obvious especially after I heard that he was shot with his own gun. I was pretty sure he commited suicide and made it look like murder.

Let's not forget she used her own daughter's pictures and persona to carry on with it. It's all a complete mess. Just be honest online about your situation in life. Especially if you think you will ever meet in real life.

Basically got away with everything. Well her daughter disowned her, but still.
I required the first guy from online I met IRL (when we were both teens) to take a photo of himself with a hand-written sign stating "I am not a pedo". I also talked to him and his parents over the phone. I guess it could have all been staged, theoretically, but he really was who he said he was, lol. We're still friends.

Oh man, I remember my IMVU days... Whole lot of different personas with my friend. Feel somewhat nostalgic about it too though, recently made a new user there, but it's indeed glad to know that now it's just like a relaxation thing at the end of the day (and mostly because I love the beautiful rooms and scenery there and well, random chatting is sometimes fun too), not the only world I can be...

I love the Ravon's voice. One of the best narrative voices I ever heard.

I can’t believe it’s been that long since that happened. Then the love that was outpouring for his family started turning to anger as they found out his wife was also spending the money he embezzled and was in on it. why is it called getting catfished when your chat friend has never intended to be anything more than friends, though?
There's nothing to forgive there. I had picked male avatars or nicks occasionally on gaming sites and that had to do with me enjoying my character. And one of the gamers I used to pm with said something similar to me and I was like "excuse me?!" the stuff we talked about outside the game had nothing to do with genders.
