She dedicated her entire life to getting the truth about her son.. I also remember watching brian's police interview. The description of how Mike died haunted me. Brian and Mike had arranged to go fishing that morning and Brian picked Mike up that morning. Apparently when he was pushed over board he grabbed hold of a log sticking out of the water. Brian circled Mike in the boat while Mike screamed for help and couldn't understand why Brian, who was his friend, wasnt rescuing him. If I remember correctly, this scenario lasted for a while before out of frustration that Mike wasn't dying, Brian shot him. He placed mikes body in the back of the pick up and drove it back to Denise's house where he parked it in the driveway. Denise was the one who directed Brian what to do with Mikes body when Brian approached her distraught. I think when the search was still ongoing for Mike, (memory a bit sketchy here) he was in the back of the pickup, and because noone was actually looking for a body at that time, and searching the water for his drowning. He was buried later. Also, Denise's kidnapping by Brian , was a set up. Brian knew that Denise was going to try and kill him too. I do believe their WAS an element of kidnapping somewhere in this scenario, but only because Brian had discovered Denise's plan. The image of Mike wrapped around that log, without a life jacket, (like was planned) calling for his best friends help. Fighting to stay alive until ultimately he had no other options resonated with me. Massive hugs to Cheryl. The mother who never ,ever stopped fighting for her son!

Horrific. Bone chilling. It’s very difficult to understand why people do these things? How broken can someone be, to commit such violent acts? Light & Love to the victims & their families. Great Docudrama ! Thanks for posting !
Why don't these people believe in divorces? Like...lets just cut this innocent person from the Earth rather than let them just find someone that really wants them
Wow the subtitles are waaaay ahead! Listening to the beginning of Tara's story and the subtitles are saying she killed her husband and was sentenced to 30 years in prison! 😱
True, they say killers don't look like monsters, they look like the busy mum who lives next door or the postman who waves to you in the morning. They look, and act in public just like us.
This Dorian Corey situation was highlighted in an episode of Pose on FX, which is a show about the underground balls held to celebrate LGBTQ+ individuals but especially transgender people and those of transgender experience. Knowing that the TV show was based on this true experience, it always sent a shiver up my spine. However bc Doriam was transgender, I understand why she couldn't go to the police. They would have never taken her side even if she was forced to kill him for self-defense
Are you saying transwomen are never capable of crimes? She had a dead person in her closet. Why are you assuming self defense? Because you want to paint a sainted picture of someone for being LGBTQ?
Dear Narrator (whoever u r), I ABSOLUTELY love your voice & the way u tell a story! I also have to give "props" to the FEMALE EWU CREW Narrator!👍She is equally soothing to the ears. ❤Love u Narrators! Keep up the GREAT STORY TELLING!
The Tara Grinstead/Ryan Duke case has yet to come to a conclusion, but anyone who has followed this case (and knows about all the other crimes against women Bo Dukes seems to have committed) has at least the outside suspicion that Bo is the one who really did this and maybe convinced the drug-addicted Ryan that he's the one who did. But Bo clearly has a problem with violence against women and gross entitlement. It's an anomaly if Ryan did it, it seems right in line with Bo's old tricks.
Wasn’t there a podcast done to try to help solve this case….. I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s name is. But it goes into way more details and is kind of a roller coaster of who done it until there was an actual confession. I don’t think the guy ever thought he would be an influence in actually solving the case.
I'll never understand how some people will find it easier to murder their spouse to be with someone else rather than just be honest and tell them they wish to leave them to be with someone else. As if they think it's easier than confrontation.
This one actually freaked me out for some reason and I’m a true crime junkie. Idk something about it. I’ve even heard Tara’s story as I listened to a podcast that took place around the time her case was solved. But for some reason this one had a different spirit to it. Rest In Peace to the victims in these cases.

Love how they found a dead mummified body in the first story and everyone immediately tried to come up with a solution to defend Dorian. That should be a scary thought people
Right, if Dorian wasn't a drag queen, the conclusion would immediately be that it's pretty clear cut that Dorian did kill the man and nobody would question it.
to be fair, people are supposed to be thought innocent until proven guilty, and as there was no evidence proving her guilty people tried to find any other possible explainations
Tbf this is a time in which minorities had to be defensive, like of course they would assume this is some kind of messed up situation especially when they don't seem to know each other
I think I watch this channel mostly for the narrator’s voice! I don’t know why it makes me feel so good. Like I’ve known this man for ages, like he’s my family or a close one. I wonder what he looks like… 🤔🤔
I remember hearing a comedian talking about that kinda thing. A quote that stuck out to me was ''Do your dirt by your lonesome.'' Only one person keeps a secret.
So the police didn't care about the guy enough to check if the spouse hadn't get a millionaire insurance on him, and told he must've felt and be eaten by wild animals. And after of more than a decade of the mom insisting on a proper investigation, they get a confession from the killer. Telling how he murdered her son. And they literally let him walk out free of any charges because he "traded immunity" on his own crime. Great justice you have there, congrats

I’m a new subscriber to this channel. I am enjoying it so far. I have noticed the similar clips to Urmaker whom I have watched every video of his and really enjoyed. This channel is binge worthy 😊
The first story I bet they got into a relationship and he didn't know she was a drag queen, found out and called her disgusting names and enraged she killed him. Makes sense as to why she'd put up with keeping the body in her apartment all that time, the sheer disgust for his hatred to finding out who she was.
I wondered this too, mostly because I have seen so many similar stories/episodes on the ID channel. Sometimes the guy gets enraged and kills the transgender, sometimes vice versa. But it happens more often than I would have thought.
I got the distinct feeling that in the case with Dorian, he might have been killed in self defense, given his past. As for why she kept the body hidden? The police have never been friends to drag queens, most of all the NYPD. She would have had good reason to believe that they'd try to pin the crime on her as a murder despite any potential evidence that it was done in self-defense. However, that's just speculation. But I'm inclined to believe it considering it seems to be well out of character for her to commit premeditated murder, and she doesn't have any history of violent crime.
This is an unexpected question but don't drag queens use the pronoun "he" since they don't identify as females? Instead, drag queens identify as male performers, as I understand it, and If they *do* consider themselves female then they're not dressing in drag but dressing in their preferred clothing. Maybe some drag queens identify as trans but all the most famous examples of drag queens, such as RuPaul and Divine, were gay men who performed in drag, and were adament that they're not women.
Still dont understand people who think the only way to be together with someone is to kill the your husband/wife... like just get a divorce??

Ikr. Denise could've had a happy, quiet life with Mike. But she just had to play with fire. She's got a man who gave everything to her. Now, she's rotting in jail. Smh.
I remember Dorians appearance in Paris is Burning...was a great documentary. I also knew about the story of Mike...who unfortunately married the wrong woman & befriended the wrong man.
Dorians story is giving me "Pose" vibes!! Something similar happens in that show and I'm feeling like this was the inspiration for that scene
Yeah I said the same thing!! Ryan Murphy probably new about the case n writes into an episode
I was just thinking that!!!
It for sure was. The personalities in Paris is Burning are renowned figures in the culture, so Dorian's story definitely made waves.
Pose took a lot of inspo from Paris is Burning.
when does this happened in pose? like the episode?
Ok I have to admit, this guys eyes at 7:39 is freaking me right out!👀😨😰👀

Im glad the 2nd case was solved. I kept seeing this story with no resolve. Im happy for the mom.
I saw on another true crime documentary that the fish and wildlife and the cops disregarded Michael Williams's mother and generslly treated her like a crazy lady who couldn't move on and accept their lazy findings. She investigated on her own to find out things like the gator/weather thing. If you listen to her witness impact statement, which is heartwrenching, she saod how law enforcement treated her. It's pretty disgusting that they dismissed a grieving mother who was doing the worm they should've been doing. That's Florida for you though.
Crazy how people are blaming the police for not being irrational. Seriously, pick a fucking lane.
Moday just got better! What is up EWU crew 😜
Mike's mom is the only reason this case was followed up on, she even went to professionals to prove he couldn't have been eaten by alligators
One of the worst cases ever 😔 Glad they are both rotting in jail. RIP Mike 🌹
L, I appreciate how sincere you are in that you really care about your viewers and remind us to be careful of the company we keep. I've been through about everything this girl went through and have never had the desire to hurt anyone especially a friend. No boy is worth killing for, especially an unfaithful one. He was just as much at fault no matter who came on to who and he had the nerve to slaughter her. 3 against one poor girl and for some scumbag dude. So ridiculously senseless and cruel. The girl that played the lookout should have looked out for that innocent girls life and warned her and the authorities.
The production value on these videos 🔥🔥😳😳
Honestly he could read the back of a shampoo bottle and sound great
There’s a show called pose centered around drag queens of the 90’s and I believe one of the characters is inspired by the first story. She‘s a dominatrix and one of her client’s accidentally overdosed under her “care”, so in fear of being blamed and charged for his death she also put his body in a suitcase and keeps it in her closet.
I immediately thought of that storyline while watching the first episode! I definitely think the writers did that on purpose since that's their style
@@hibiscustea13yes it was based on that story flooding the ballroom scene.
Horrific. Bone chilling. It’s very difficult to understand why people do these things? How broken can someone be, to commit such violent acts? Light & Love to the victims & their families. Great Docudrama ! Thanks for posting !
Why don't these people believe in divorces? Like...lets just cut this innocent person from the Earth rather than let them just find someone that really wants them
@@shuntaro_chishiya777 that is a reason to never get one.
Wow the subtitles are waaaay ahead! Listening to the beginning of Tara's story and the subtitles are saying she killed her husband and was sentenced to 30 years in prison! 😱

Hell is empty..all the devils are here ...walking amongst us... Great video btw. 💯
True, they say killers don't look like monsters, they look like the busy mum who lives next door or the postman who waves to you in the morning. They look, and act in public just like us.
Hay you all to stop v
@Mr. Willimear that not the first time I heard that, so there might be something to that

@Mr. Willimear the truth is not what we speculate..God tells us the truth in Hus Holy word..
The last story hits too close to home. She was my sons teacher when she went missing... God rest her soul... RIP Tara😪🙏
And Tara is a CUTIE, that's for sure!!!
Dorian was a murderer
Are you saying transwomen are never capable of crimes? She had a dead person in her closet. Why are you assuming self defense? Because you want to paint a sainted picture of someone for being LGBTQ?
Well he was a murderer so
Dear Narrator (whoever u r), I ABSOLUTELY love your voice & the way u tell a story!
@@shallysboldman9843 Yes, it’s called Up and Vanished
I was following a podcast on the last case when it broke wide open in real time. Was fascinating and got me completely hooked on true crime!
His voice is the reason I am able to fall asleep at night! My mum thinks im a creep😂 love these vids btw dont get me wrong!!!!
I'll never understand how some people will find it easier to murder their spouse to be with someone else rather than just be honest and tell them they wish to leave them to be with someone else. As if they think it's easier than confrontation.
Recently started watching you guys and I love every vid!!
I knew the story about the second one but I love the way he explains it better
I know. A lot of other shows leave out so many details.
This one actually freaked me out for some reason and I’m a true crime junkie. Idk something about it. I’ve even heard Tara’s story as I listened to a podcast that took place around the time her case was solved. But for some reason this one had a different spirit to it. Rest In Peace to the victims in these cases.
The second story reminded me of "Therese Raquin". It did sound like a novel.
You can't deny that motherly instinct!
Poor guy 😥 why didn't she just leave? Surely that's the easier option?! Well I guess she will have lots of time on her hands to think about now!
They wanted the life insurance money.
Life insurance and avoiding a custody battle would be my guess
She was greedy and selfish clearly since she thought killing him to cash out that money was a good decision 💀💀and now she’s paying for it that’s karma
I saw , watched , and heard this most tragic case in another documentary..the poor mother's persistence getting justice for her son was truly inspiring..

Love how they found a dead mummified body in the first story and everyone immediately tried to come up with a solution to defend Dorian. That should be a scary thought people
because that corpse belongs to a rapist, theyre barely people
Right, if Dorian wasn't a drag queen, the conclusion would immediately be that it's pretty clear cut that Dorian did kill the man and nobody would question it.
to be fair, people are supposed to be thought innocent until proven guilty, and as there was no evidence proving her guilty people tried to find any other possible explainations
Tbf this is a time in which minorities had to be defensive, like of course they would assume this is some kind of messed up situation especially when they don't seem to know each other

That whole show is like inspired from the doc ‘Paris is burning’
Yup that was the first thing I thought of!
I was riding by on my school bus when they find Tara’s purse in a field of pecan trees. This case shocked my small community.
At 20:01 it should not be CHERYL'S MOTHER. it should be Mike's mother
People need to learn to keep their mouths shut. If you've got away with murder for years, don't start blabbing to your friends.
I remember hearing a comedian talking about that kinda thing. A quote that stuck out to me was ''Do your dirt by your lonesome.'' Only one person keeps a secret.
Everyone here does good work but this is the Voice that I'm always looking for! Cheers.
Sounds like a horror movie: The Mummy in the Drag Queen’s Closet!
😂😂😂
So the police didn't care about the guy enough to check if the spouse hadn't get a millionaire insurance on him, and told he must've felt and be eaten by wild animals. And after of more than a decade of the mom insisting on a proper investigation, they get a confession from the killer. Telling how he murdered her son. And they literally let him walk out free of any charges because he "traded immunity" on his own crime. Great justice you have there, congrats
Your videos are some of the best quality true crime accounts on UA-cam. I think your commentary and additional information is interesting and detailed and the voice nice to listen to. So many videos are just low quality audio interrogations with no back story or additional info or commentary or use an irritating false voice to narrate, that I can't listen to. You must spend hours and hours producing these videos and it is appreciated. Thank you for your hard work!
If I’m not mistaken the second story with the death of Mike in Seminole Lake.
**every single drowning death, approx 80
The body was recovered within 1-2 weeks of the suspected drowning. Every body…. This is how investigators knew deep down he didn’t drown there.

The narrators voice in part is what makes these videos good

Story 2 baffles me..
dude kidnapps his ex for like what maybe a week and gets 20 years? Admits to killing for a get out of jail free card and its ok?
Chick is let go of there being no evidence she was involved but still is guilty of "possibly being a co-conspirator?".
This is just confusing.
Love the way you tell us about the case . Like fron asia , malaysia 👍🏼

Isn't a drag queen a man who dresses up as a woman? Why do they keep referring to this person as "her"?
Came to the new comments to make sure I wasn't the only sane person. 😂
I’m a new subscriber to this channel. I am enjoying it so far. I have noticed the similar clips to Urmaker whom I have watched every video of his and really enjoyed. This channel is binge worthy 😊
So a friend who had an affair with the wife killed the husband and insurance money was involved. INSANE! What a twist! Never heard of before.
The first story I bet they got into a relationship and he didn't know she was a drag queen, found out and called her disgusting names and enraged she killed him. Makes sense as to why she'd put up with keeping the body in her apartment all that time, the sheer disgust for his hatred to finding out who she was.
That's a weird little story you're projecting.
I wondered this too, mostly because I have seen so many similar stories/episodes on the ID channel. Sometimes the guy gets enraged and kills the transgender, sometimes vice versa. But it happens more often than I would have thought.
"He"
Drag queen doesn't mean trans
Screaming cause y’all are covering sweet Tara!!! RIP fellow Georgia peach!! The first podcast case I listened too
Made my day 💚 Thanks!
The bar is on the floor, but thank you for not misgendering Dorian Corey. To many people gloss over she was a trans woman and not just a drag queen.
Traditionally Drag Queens are referred to as ‘she’ when in drag and often out of drag too. It’s a personal preference thing.
She was a trans woman in drag^
@Burn Loot Murder BLM That makes sense fundamentally.
He was a murderer who liked to dress up like a woman. Not the first killer like that.
