Thanks guys, I quickly learnt it's not easy. I'm a flame knight and wanted all the cool fire flame abilities. I did end up getting rellana twin swords on the way so that has appeased me for the moment.
If you’re just starting, you have to beat Rellana the Moon Knight to get access to this area. It’s pretty much a straight shot from her to the castle though. You will have to defeat another boss before you can get to this part of the castle though. You’ll run into it when you get inside the Shadow Keep.

How did you put the ash of war on it? It won’t let me put flame skewer in it. But will for other weapind
Ur this far into the game and dk some weapons can’t have certain Aow on them

honestly dont worry. You´ll find so many weapons during your playthrough that you want to use
it's possible if you follow a very specific route

It's just that in my game the gate didn't render yet and it showed a white fog wall so I thought I had to do something else. Sry.
