@@paris5831Because frenzy only works against NPCs and PCs. Not ordinary enemies… only the fire damage takes effect. But in PVP, the frenzy itself hits your opponent, and it stuns them and drains their FP. It’s really nasty.

How about a Fire Knight Greatsword build next? This weapon is one of the best new weapons and imo also the best UGS in general. Flame Spear/Skewer on it, Golden Vow/FGMS for buffs and Shard of Alexander, Dragoncrest GS, Two Handed Talisman and one flex for talismans and you can bully most enemies in the DLC

I'm curious to see comparisons or differences between similar ashes in the dlc versus older ashes...for example Divine Beast Frost Stomp vs Hoarfrost stomp...they look the same but obviously there must be some differences. Does one do more damage? more frostbite? more range? More poise damage? What is the difference between the old and the new essentially. Great work as always man, I know you've been hella busy but I think this could be a good comparison video idea down the road.

my to-go testing dummy is usually the omen in the capital sewers, I had 40 dex and 80 faith and didn't want to respec but wanted to get a feel for the weapon art, basically the damage on poison affinity of the AoW when they were poisoned was kind of like half a bleed proc, I imagine its stronger if you use the the kindred exultation and shard of alexander

A glitched happened to me when I used the dancing sword ash, and only my upper body was moving so it looked like my upperbody was just twisting its self
Piercing throw getting 90% damage reduce through a shield had me dying imagine that on a untragreat sword with 1500 ar only doin 150 damage on piercing lunge.

@@mjay6245 Carian Mastery and Rolling Sparks belie their actual power in this video. CM does 91 poise damage and hits like a freight train while Rolling Sparks just wasn't used correctly. Throw the sparks at the ground in front of you and its damage becomes incomparable.
The only thing i hate about the DLC is how late in the game you access it. It pretty much means any builds you want to try out from the start will have to be new game plus builds. How cool it would have been to fight Radahn with his former (new) swords the first time you faced him?

for those who are struggling a bit, slap on Savage Lion's Claw and go to work. Sometimes the target lock is wonky on fast enemies
