Just got mine today. I traded in my 1st gen LCP MAX. Store gave me $200 for it up against $299.99 for the 75th Anniversary model for a net out-of-pocket, with tax for under $107.00 Not bad! Haven't taken it to the range yet but I'm sure I'll love it as I've been a LCP fan from way back.
I have the exact same gun that I just recently got & it shoots a foot low too!!! Thanks for the advice I'll try that. I really do think Ruger needs to adjust their sights on though, or offer a compensated front sight.
Guns shooting low has been an issue since the 1800s, if the front sight is high, and as The Video Narrator stated, you nestle the Front sight dot too low into the rear groove, you will shoot low, if you raise the dot higher and above the groove, as you shoot, you will see your point of impact rise up, use your sights as a reference and not the actual point of aim.
Please get a mic that improves the audio quality. The LCP Max is my EDC in hot weather. I upgraded my Max by replacing the trigger with the Sigurd trigger, put in a 13-pound spring and a stainless steel guide rod. Reduced recoil.
U got to aim a lil higher from where your target is. I think its a common issue with this gun. Other than that didnt get no jams or any malfunctions. Used blazer aluminum ammo and ammo inc brass.shot 250 rds
The only gun I can carry 24/7.... Even in shorts, They also make a 13 round mag and of 15 round mag.. put you some +p Underwood extreme penetrators in it.
Per the manual: The RUGER® LCP® MAX pistol is chambered for the 380 Auto cartridge. Do not attempt to load any other cartridges into the magazine or chamber of the pistol. Do not use “+P” ammunition. The RUGER® LCP® MAX pistols are compatible with standard factory ammunition loaded to U.S. Industry Standards, including hollow-point loads loaded in brass or aluminum cases. No 380 Auto ammunition manufactured in accordance with NATO, U.S., SAAMI, or CIP standards is known to be beyond the design limits or known not to function in this pistol. Do not use “+P” ammunition.

@@TheArkansasGunGuy Reg price is $279 with a price drop for this week. It's a local ID/OR chain of individual discount and farm stores. Nice people.

This problem has been around as long as guns and iron sights.
Tall front sight, and you will shoot low.
Blazer is great, but non reloadable, I prefer brass cases because they are reloadable.
Why is the 75th Anniversary gun so much cheaper than the standard? Any ideas what makes it cheaper?
Great question. That makes no sense. I’ll poke around on the intrawebs and see if I can learn more. Thank you for watching!!
Maybe they knew S&W was going to release the Bodyguard 2.0?
@@TheArkansasGunGuy Ive tried. I can’t find anything on it.
@@TheArkansasGunGuy I’d prefer blacked out but 60-70 bucks more is a large difference!
I suspect they knew that Smith and Wesson was going to be dropping the Bodyguard 2.0... so just a marketing ploy...

Ruger specifically states the gun isn’t rated for +p, so don’t do that.

I've seen these at $300 lately
Same it’s a great price for what it is
It is terribly difficult for me to be consistently accurate with the Max. My other pocket pistols are much easier to shoot.
Such as???
@@whitehammeer I am much more accurate with the Diamondback DB380, Taurus TCP, Bodyguard 380, Bodyguard 2.0.
I unfortunately bought the LCP ll 380 and the newest iteration 75th Anniversary stainless steel LCP Max... both are garbage POA POI...🤷♂️
Glorified Kel-tec , do your research and You tube will not tell this on the Gun sites.
Yes they will, look around and you’ll be amazed.
