7:17 …LOL. You need to get less sleep more often, this video was hilarious.
I'm kinda with you it was a solid mix of fun in this video
Not really related to this video but thought it was time to let you know, good sir. Bought and received my 2024 Model Y dual motor long range end of February. Built in January in Austin, TX. Absolutely love it! Paid $44k and some change and that price included Indiana's 7% sales tax and all of Tesla's fees. That price also included the $1,900 they gave me for my 2013 Volt I drove for 7.5 yrs. With the $7,500 off when you buy the car, not when you do your taxes the next year, it was too hard to pass up. Stealth grey with the 19" wheels and tow package as the only selected option.
I've test drove every Tesla except the Cybertruck and it is great to finally own one straight up.
Still relevant! I just bought a 2500 diesel crew cab Denali. The range isn't there yet for electric trucks and as a Tesla owner I really don't think that the push to make all vehicles be electric is smart. The gov is going too far
Ever heard of apterra
Great video!
We daily a Ram 2500 with air suspension because we can’t afford a third vehicle and then like tomorrow when we need to take a horse to the vet I can back up to our gooseneck trailer. I don’t think anyone has tried to install a gooseneck hitch to the bed of an electric truck and I’m not sure you can.
Well you need your truck. I don’t think he said to get an electric truck if you are hauling a horse trailer.
@@Chrisb8s I’m not saying he told me I need a truck. There are other opticals besides range for EV trucks to be adopted by people like me.
When are Rivian going to deliver to the UK?
I would not compare a Rivian or CyberTruck with a 3/4 or more ton. However if we are comparing 1/2 ton then I would for sure get CyberTruck.
It’s raining in Phoenix? I’m trying to imagine an “unmilitarized” tank.
18,500 sounds closer to the 2500 sierra Duramax
Wow he shaved
Well realistically most people can't afford a $90k truck, just to gain efficiency. Diesel owners work their trucks, they are family haulers, daily drivers. Towing 10k with an electric truck on a family vacation just doesn't work at the moment.
No. You should be out here in Arizona. Most trucks are do show. Some have wheels and tires that would never be used for work. They can’t afford them. There lots of “lifted truck “ repos
@Chrisb8s I'm a diesel mechanic, so I interact with diesel owners daily. I can't speak for all regions, but the percentage of customers that only use their truck for show is probably 5%. It used to be higher, but after 2020, prices went up and young guys that could barely afford them, sold them off. But that's just my experience.
@@SquallWulfhartyou don’t live in the Phoenix area right ? I mean in Kansas that would be different. Out here most are for show
@Chrisb8s nope, haven't been to Phoenix in about a decade, but I do remember there being more lifted trucks than I see here in Colorado, which I thought was odd. But that was a long time ago, and they still were the vast minority compared to regular trucks.
Rivian just 15k too expense maybe the R2
But is the Rivian gluten free?
Gotta ask RJ
I get terrible mileage on high octane gas. And it’s completely unreliable. Sputters. Lots of black smoke.
One star ⭐️ Would not recommend.
I came here looking for you to roll coal! 💨
You clean up real nice, son
I think when we hit 1000 miles every thing will go electric.
Amazon here is almost all electric. All those rivian Amazon trucks
@@Chrisb8s yes I talked to one of there drivers and he said they drive less then 200 miles a day
I don't think anyone is even trying to make an electric car with a range of 1000 miles. The trade offs would be too high. Nobody needs to drive 1000 in one go. That's like 12.5 hours nonstop at 80mph. It's unrealistic and such an edge case that manufacturers will continue to work on vehicles that go around 400 miles. Number of charging stations and speed of charging needs to improve, that is all.
@@iamnidI agree, there’s really no applicable need for 1000 miles, even 500 miles is unnecessary for about 99% of trips. I think better efficiency for trucks for hauling is needed for them to be useful from a work/use perspective. If just using it for normal driving, where range is at today is sufficient.
Contractors need them so they can feel important? Kind of a ridiculous statement..... Contractors need them in order to work
Right that's a joke which are generally ridiculous statements
@@Gjeebs I still love your videos man but I kinda took that to heart
This guy has no business reviewing trucks.
