Thanks Phil...Its time to do a bit of DJ furniture now... Amazon Prime is bringing mines to my house/flat...Im still learning how to DJ by way of you and the team. I'm still saying thank you...from across the pond in Alabama 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
I use a tommaryd table from ikea, the height is about 41”, and it’s very sturdy for my turntable/mixer setup for cutting or juggling. I also bring it for mobile gigs and it is kinda easy to break down and setup. Although, I’m considering an odyssey table, but I heard it may be wobbly.
I’ve been waiting for something like this … great topic. Maybe a topic could be the best equipment or how to livestream … or how do you keep music in the room from bouncing off the walls
Thanks for making this - luckily I learned a lot of this ergo stuff when I started doing engineering work (e.g. I also have a sit-stand desk), so when we built my DJ workstation recently, we made sure it was tall enough.
Numark mixtrack platinum fx yamaha 10 mixer with 3 different speaker sizes 10 's ,12's and 15's new to digital and xlr ive seen other videos but you are the best when it comes to hooking up equipment . im really new to all this only 1 year in dont even have a UA-cam page ,yet, but be on the lookout for OL'E SKOOL SCO
I find it realllyy beautiful when a dj table is natural wood. Black dj-gear put on natural wood is really niccee, BUT, it's even nicer if the floor right underneath the table is also black or dark. If you don't have, I recomend trying a dark carpet or floor cover - seperates the room really nice and feels as if you stand on the same material that you're deejaying on.
I have been using a 5ft folding table with a skrim... with my gear in a flight case, which has 2U rack space underneath, it works out to be a great height luckily... at least for me, I'm short...lol I think the flight case lid would raise it nicely for a tall person... I think a flight case is good to look into as an option for just about anyone, even if you're not hauling gear around very often... At home I have a desk in my living room, and I've had my older controller set up on its keyboard shelf for a while now, but I think I want to set up a different setup for the house... that desk just gets used for so much non-music stuff that I want to set up a dedicated music spot...
i have a large butcher block table with wheels on one side that can be moved if need be, with my laptop on a computer rizer like the one u have in the video.. its solid wood , great height, with two shelves underneath to store extra gear
I have seen both pro x and odyssey have a dj stand similar to the udg one featured here. I wonder if it’s essentially the same quality. I did a quick Google search and didn’t find the udg one available in the US. I’ve definitely been looking into getting a dedicated dj stand, for home and gigging; hence, this video was very topical for me. Great stuff!
I caught this stream late. I have a suggestion look at a company called gravity they make keyboard stands etc. I've been using their dj version to this, it's great and also height adjustable and portable. It's based on a x stand. Look within my videos to see it. Great for controller and cdj djs, not tested yet on turntables but can on request.
Gotta say A LOT if not alll of these purpose made portable DJ tables are just awful, cheap looking, ugly, and they won’t fit more than a larger controller. Anything else is just impossible to move or prohibitively expensive.
Ironing board 😂
Been there!
Thanks Phil - my workstations are all higher than average - as is my kitchen bench - definitely saved my back!
For sure!

Perfect height!
I don’t have that IKEA Dj desk but I did find a ikea shelf and turned it on its side. Perfect height for me.
Great one 😊

Thanks for the ideas Terrance.

Where do you get that computer desk arm?
Here you go: djtips.co/stand
@@digitaldjtips thanks both.

Hi Joey, I've got 20 of them mate, all different lol.
Thanks for your help!
You're welcome!
hello Phil nice session! Did you named a price of the udg product?
It's around $300 I think.

Nice esoteric tip!
I use an adjustable keyboard stand for my dj controller, if I get back pain I can just adjust it to the perfect height
That's a great idea!

Do rember the dj booths suspended on cables from the ceiling?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Pro X and Odyssey stands are pretty similar.
@@digitaldjtips that’s essentially my green light to buy one or the other😀 thanks!

Thanks for the heads up.
What about the podium style?
I'm curious to know if that portable UDG table is stable enough for turntables?
I would say so, yes. Even though the fold-out left/right sections are not 100% solid, the weight of the turntable will sort that out.
The height is right angle elbows, like tonearms.
This question is off topic: what’s the difference between a dj and a producer?
A DJ plays music, a producer makes it.
@@digitaldjtips so if I add fx and samples that changing (making) it, right?
I use a flight case with a keyboard stand for my workstation
Yes, a good choice!
Which table u perfer for my pioneer ddj-800 case? I just need the table not the stand or both
As per the video/article, depends what you want to use it for and how much money you have.
@@digitaldjtips Am a mobile dj need a table that's going 2 fit my ddj-800 case
Looks like you saved me from using storage bins
Maybe time to step up, Hank!
