Good job on the booth. It looks great. Thanks for the shout out 🙏🏾
OMG 😱 Thank you 🙏🏽 for watching. I love your content you always dropping knowledge on us so thank you for sharing!. Huge fan of yours.
Nice I think that pole in the middle is going to drive you crazy
Thanks 🙏🏽. So far it hasn’t but i will give an update once I have used it for more than 5 events. Are you looking into building your own?
Yeah that pole is terrible unless you buy a denon prime 2 or 4 that doesn't need a laptop so you can remove that pole.
@@oldschooldjernie I have used it on 2 events and honestly it doesn’t bother me. The prime 2 or 4 will require me to make a new booth since the dimensions of it are different then my sx2.
@@lasrocasent l have to give you credit though for your ingenuity though. I use those gator cases for my TVs doing karaoke and I never thought they can be used to transport a shallow table like that. 👍
Thank you bro. I honestly didn’t know if it was going to work but i gave it a shot plus the dimensions where almost exact so i went for it!.
Thanks for sharing your idea. Great job 👏👏👏
Thank you for watching hope it helps to spark a light 💡
I've been wanting to get the link for this for a while now, so thanks for posting it. The booth looks great. Your clients will love it. Shout Out to DJ Peck, a very talented and creative DJ/Entertainer.
Thank you for watching and yes peck is fire
That’s a nice lil project it came out sweet.

GREAT JOB THE BOOTH LOOKS AWESOME !!
Thank you 🙏🏽
Thank you very much for sharing! It looks amazing and you did an excellent job! Clients will love it as it is highly professional!
Thank you 🙏🏽 and you are correct so far I’ve used it in two events and all i got was amazing comments about the booth!!!
Nice booth. Thanks for sharing!!! I have the table & stand on order!! One question how did you mount your booth to the totem stand?
Hey bro thanks for watching!! I use heavy duty velcro to keep the booth sturdy.
Can I ask how tall is the booth from floor to where the controller is? I love this idea. Seems easy enough to build and super stylish just want to make sure I'm comfortable at the height DJing.
Hey Justin thanks for watching! To answer your question, the height depends on what you are going to be using as legs. If you are 5' 7" and taller than the collapsible totem will be the best option for you since the totem can be adjusted. I am 5' 6" and with using the totem the controller ends up just a bit higher at its lowest setting.
In my case: The totem is 39" (Lowest setting) + 5" of the table = 44" in total which is a little less than 4ft.
Hope this helps!
Nice job from the top to the bottom, how many inches you have for the mic and a controller?
Hey bro thanks for watching and for the comment. To answer your questions is 4.5 inches
A suggestion.
Running super short (1.5 ft) cables from the controller/mixer to the speakers will save you a ton of weight and headaches inside your top. Run the end of the cable out the bottom of the booth then run a white cable down the truss (blends in better and doesn't show through the scrim).
I run two of the Max booths, which are absolutely amazing, but I built one of these first and I'm working on finding a case that I can safely move around, as the weight with the Rane One was a bit too heavy to safely carry. The Max booths come in hard plastic cases with wheels, which honestly might be the best possible solution. I might do that. Right now this console is the one I use at home for practice.
Nice work. Those poles work much better on the sides. Also, the laptop stand is a metal base, so if you want it lighter just take some plywood and cut a copycat out that you mount the bottom bracket onto. Super cheap and easy and will save you lbs.
Thanks for the advice and info I will definitely keep it in mind as I keep looking to perfecting the booth!.
@@lasrocasent Happy to share the things I've learned (mostly by trial and error)!
Great look. How did you move and secure the back board of the desk.
I used gorilla wood glue it worked perfectly
Just watched this. It looks great. good work
Thank you bro appreciate the comment and the good vibes!

@@djtopo1989 gracias 🙏🏽 x tu tiempo en mirar mi video.
NICE BUILD ! LOOKS GREAT AND I KNOW YOU ARE VERY PROUD OF IT AND HOW IT WAS PLANNED BY USING A VERY NICE INEXPENSIVE COMPUTER DESK OR OF ANY KIND TO GET A NICE TRANSPORTABLE DJ BOOTH . 🤗🤗ROCK ON ! 👍
Thank you for watching 🙏🏽 . I am very happy with the outcome and proud of it. I am sure this will be eye catching on my future events!!!
Nice job! I like the marble tape
Thank you for watching bro. Yeah the tape is nice if you want it i put the link on the description. FYI I don’t get no money from it lol just happy to help someone else. 😎
My man how have those 1/4 R angle adapters been holding up for you on the mixing board? Mine just started giving me problems with audio cutting in and out even if they are touched slightly, and I'm thinking to buy new ones. Wanted to see how it was going for you?
Hey bro no problems so far they work perfect for me. I have used it in four events so far and d it has been flawless
@@lasrocasent thanks my man glad to hear it. idk maybe i got a defective set! Gonna have to troubleshoot
@MrMaui38 that could be the case. Hope you get it figured it out bro. That uncertainty is a horrible feeling
@@lasrocasent exactly man 💯
Looks good!
Thank you 🙏🏽
I really want to make that table on my wedding gig also❤
You should do it!. It will look so good and it will give your set up a more fancy look. Let me know how it turns out if you do it or if you have any questions.!
after watching a lot of dj's build thier own booth i designed my own that i will build once i get the materials.
That is nice to hear hopefully you make a video on it so I can watch the process!
@@lasrocasent i plan on it
Great setup!!! 😊 How do you secure the table to the totem pole???? Nobody shows that???!!!
Thank you for watching 🙏🏽. I used heavy duty velcro
@@lasrocasent last question is it sturdy enough in your opinion?
@@blendmastersdjservicesllc9338 Not 100% but good enough if you want you could use 2 totems and make it more sturdy but with one ill still be a lil careful
Great Job…
Questions:
How is transportation?
And the laptop poll, have you thought about a shorter one?
Thank you 🙏🏽. With the gator bag I purchased transporting the booth is way easier tbh. Regarding the laptop poll, I have not looked into a new one as this one is fine to me but now that you mentioned it maybe looking for a shorter poll will be better. I will keep that it mind.
Booth is up, check it out when you get a chance. Will make a more detailed video soon
Bet bro i got you ill check it in a few !
Just purchased a few domains but I'm not ready to start my website yet, should I just park them for now and hold off on web hosting as well?
Hey Bro, I would say Yes Park it as that secures your domain and no one else can use it. So, when you are ready to go live with your website you won't have any hiccups with domain and hosting.
Smart idea!! Keep up the good work!
Thank you 🙏🏽 appreciate it!
Great job!! 👍🏼
Thank you 🙏🏽 for watching and your comment!.
Awesome Job on the build!!! 🙌
Thank you for watching bro appreciate it!
How well does the case fit? I’m interested in seeing how this works.
@@TheOnlyDjMikeStone I have like an 1 or so of room in the front but on the sides is perfect takin in consideration that i keep my antennas plugged. Over all its a great case for the booth
@@lasrocasent that is so awesome!!. Maybe you could do a short video of it going into the case. I’m very interested in this type of booth as well. Thank you so much for sharing.
@TheOnlyDjMikeStone I actually have a video on that bro check it out and if you need more information or have questions hit me up 🤙🏼

Great job!
Thank you for watching bro! and appreciate the positive comment! 😊
Great Job. What are you using on the totem to keep your table top connected. Are you using specific screws or heavy duty velcro?
Thank you. For now i am using heavy duty velcro but i am looking into magnets. Are you looking into building one ?
@@lasrocasent Yes I am really thinking about it. Is the Velcro working out well or it just a matter of the maybe the magnets doing a better job.
@@thestarvingdjs In my point of view magnets are stronger and better but the velcro so far has been doing good.
Hey man looks good how did you get the top off on the booth at beginning I know you said it was glued I want to do this but dont want to damage top getting it off too cut
Hey thank you!. So the top has locking screws i took them out first then I pull the top from one side up until I heard a pop which was the wooden little sticks that were glued. The. I did the same to the other side and that was it. It was a little difficult because I didn’t want to break it but once i did the first side I realized it was just the wooden sticks making the pop sound.
@@lasrocasent Thank you
@@mikebrouillette405 let me know how your turns out!!
Appreciate that bro... I'm looking to step into the furniture realm but I'm not trying to pay thousands of dollars.
Hey bro thanks for watching! This is a good and easy DIY option for you then! I love the outcome of my booth and it definitely takes off a lot of time from set up since everything is already pre wired!. If you do yours let me know so I can check it out!!!
Great video
Awesome
Thank you
Thank you for watching appreciate it! 🙏🏽
Very nice. But the overall height looks kind of high.
Can you adjust that ?? And lower it easily ?
Thank you!. Unfortunately the totem you see in the video is already on the lowest setting. I am looking into other options. I know there is a rtp go from Rockville but I am not sure if that one goes lower than 39”. If your 5’8 and above your good with the rpt32.
@@lasrocasent but seems you can drill new holes to lower it?
@@-musiclee- It wouldn't work because the top plate is already touching the legs of the totem at the lowest setting. If I add a hole the pins won't reach the hole because of the top plate.
@@lasrocasent bummer. Wonder how the black marble one would look. All black.
@@-musiclee- Funny you mentioned that. I was thinking of getting the black one too that way I have two different set ups one all white and one all black. I like the black one too but the white one pop out more so that is why I choose the white one. IF you do get the black one let me know how you like it!
Looks great
Thanks bro appreciate that!
Nice vid. Does the Totum secure to the furniture? Asking because i just ordered the rtp go totum for the exact same set up. Looks good bro. I’ll post a vid soon
Hey bro!! Thank you for watching. To answer your question the furniture on the totem is steady and if you add heavy duty velcro to both ends, that will make it more secure. I’ll be on the lookout for the vid.
What’s keeping this from falling off the totem? I watched the whole video and didn’t hear you mention that part.
Hey bro thanks you for watching the video appreciate it! Now to answer your question: at first, I used heave duty Velcro on the bottom of the table and the top of the totem. However, the totem is a bit too high for me which makes the top a bit higher and uncomfortable for me. So, I had to look for an alternative and found the Rockville speaker stands for booth monitors. I tested that but it was a bit too rocky for me, so I changed it and now i use an X stand as my based. The beauty of making it yourself is that you can adjust and change things to best fit your needs. Hope this helps and/or answered your question.
Wow man!!! This is incredible 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I love how you showed the step by step process that was awesome to see. It’s really such a brilliant idea by Peck and I’m glad my video helped a little.
I’m still trying to figure out the best way to build in the laptop stand on mine so it was cool seeing your solution. That’s the nice thing about this booth - you can keep customizing and adding things to make it your way!
Thank you. I wanted to show that it wasn't hard to do. When I first saw Peck's video I was like this is kinda difficult then I saw yours and was like ok maybe it is possible lol so I was like what the heck I'll do it. It's a fun project to the best part is you can keep customizing it. I gotta find a different stand because as you see on the video the booth is a little taller than what I would like since I am short lol. But for now it works or maybe I just gotta get use to it!.
I am hopping for more ppl to start making their own booth.
@@lasrocasent dude it is definitely pretty easy!! I’m glad my video could help. The hardest part is making that cut for the top board but i paid a carpenter to do it for me. Bro I was nervous watching while you were holding the board with your hands while your friend was cutting!!! Lmao 😰😰
You can definitely make it shorter if you find a shorter totem or odyssey stand to put it onto! I’ve been using a height adjustable table for now but the totem look is definitely cleaner and nicer. But it’s all customizable which is great. Also love how you did the extensions for the mics.
You know it was actually funny when I hit him up and told him i wanted him to cut a desk he was like you tripping but lets do it! Then my wife was like omg a crazy person helping a crazier person I don’t want to watch lol 😂 specially when my hands were holding the table. Also I am still looking for totems bout 3ft high hopefully I find one that is not too pricey. The extender antennas came in clutch only thing is that it comes in one length so i had to push my receiver back a little bit. Not a big deal.
@@lasrocasent 😂😂😂 that’s hilarious bro. You guys did an awesome job with that cut though. A 3 ft totem would be perfect height I haven’t looked into it tho. Once I decide how I’m gonna build the laptop stand into mine though Ill be searching for totems too!
You tall though a rockville totem should be good for you I am 5’ 6” I am the one with the problem lol
This is dope
Thank you bro appreciate it! Are you looking into building one yourself?
Nice Setup .. 💯 #djnoquestion
Thank you 🙏🏽
How did you connect the laptop stand, and is it heavy
Thanks for watching bro! to answer you question: The table has a hole in the top center where I screw the laptop pole and the table itself is not heave at all at least to me. Now if you put everything in it and carry it like that I can be a bit heavy but manageable. All links for the stuff I used are in the description. Feel free to check it out. I am not sponsor or affiliated at all. Just love to share knowledge and help others.
Where do you buy that Totem table?
The table i got it from amazon and the totem is from rockville. In the description you can find the links to all the stuff I used

Thank you for the idea I will look into it.
There both 69”
@@jmfbabyj I have been trying to see what is the lowest setting but it doesn’t say anywhere.
@@lasrocasent You can also really easily make a folding stand with plywood and some locking clamps (same as is used on other booths). Much lighter and folds down completely flat.
Not bad
Thanks for watching!!!
Good job, however you didn't include any information about the base.
Thank you 🙏🏽. The base is just a rpt32 rockville totem I already had it so that is why I didn’t put it on the info. Are you looking to built your own booth?
Dude needs to pull his pants up.
😂 as long as he gets the job done that’s all it matters! Well at least to me lol 😂
If anyone else plans on doing the same, please...DO NOT use a friggin angle grinder! A jigsaw or router would be the appropriate tool.
Appreciate the input and yes if anyone else wants to do try doing it with a jigsaw! We only had the grinder so that’s what we had to use.
Angle grinder with a basic cutting disc is fine. It's not going to hurt anything. If you don't know how to handle a router you're better off using the angle grinder, as you can do cleaner lines.
I used a RotoZip because it was already out and I was too lazy to pull out my jig. In hindsight...the glued particle board was a LOT harder to cut, even with a proper bit. Lines weren't perfect, but that's what tape is for. ;-)
plung cutting free hand without leaning the bottom of the saw is very very dangerous. DONT DO THIS.
Thank you for watching and the comment. By all means do this in the safest way possible. I know this was not my case but thank God everything came out great and no one got hurt!.
Your gonna need a stool
Lol that’s what i thought too at first but after using it a couple of times it’s fine. I am also looking into other options instead of a totem
