@Mick Taylor haha nice trip down memory lane. I miss the 90s, I wish we could go back. I was born in 1983 so I don’t remember that much of the 80s but from what I do remember I wouldn’t mind it being the 80s either.
@Cobb Knobbler when they were together they were the perfect metal band... the biggest band of all time, the beatles. guess what... they broke up too... doesn't take anything away from the time they were together.
Must say, thank you phil for everything, made my teenage life really fun listening and going to the shows, and now im 44 and still crank it up in my rig everyday 💖👍😁
I'm an OG Pantera fan, been to every show since the beginning so it's bitter sweet for me to see Pantera songs performed without the original band. I can tell it bothers Phil too but God bless him for keeping the music alive. Pantera fucking rules forever, RIP Vinnie and Dime!
Amazing how when he played with the abbot bros, they were so tight every damn night. That just says right there how much talent vin dime and rex had as a trio. To be great every night even while being drunk af is legendary
Philip, If you should happened to see this comment, I just like you to know that I think you're AWESOME and I can only wish to ever meet you and know you. I think you are also an AWESOME TALENT and a kind soul. Love and Peace from NYC 🤘
Great interview. I've seen Scour twice now. They are fantastic live, and Phil has such love and appreciation for his fans now. He didn't quite have that when I saw Down or Pantera, not that those shows weren't amazing either, and Phil ranting about whatever on stage was still fun. It was just a coincidence with what was going on in his life at the time, but it's funny that the heavier the band the nicer Phil seems to be. Also, when I saw Scour the first time, it was a week after Vinnie Paul died. So, it was good to hear him talk about it on stage and dedicate a couple Pantera songs to him.
@@MetalnexusNet sorry but vinnie and dime would be upset seeing him do pantera music just list lost respect for him after saying fine deserves to be beaten
@Freddie Hankins I'm not so sure if dime was here he would've reconciled with phil I dont know if I'd want to trust someone who made a comment like that about me cause if I reconciled with that person and they go do same thing again you just never know
Would like to see DOWN again one day. Phil, I ain't gonna "ballhandle" ya. Some great music has flowed from you and projects you have been a part of. Thx for keeping it real-no fanboy/stalker intended. Detroit loves that shit bro.
Phil.... A cautionary tale. A meer shadow of his former self. Those Glory days of the past will never be revisited. That being said... he is still one of my favorites. Being from Nola my self... and an ex junkie... well... you get the picture.
I would like to see a band fronted by Phil do a tour with Exhorder. That would be a groove-metal fest. 😂 The interviewer mentioned “Child’s Play.” My ex-girlfriend’s father produced the first “Child’s Play.” We git together around the time her dad started producing it (before it came out). She had one of the “Chucky” dolls at the foot of her bed (one of the prop boxes seen in the opening part of the movie when the dude was in the store). When we were doing our thing in bed we had “Chucky watching” us as we did it.
wow, Theres Phil, just as expected, then after a few seconds, it cuts in on him & starts playing an Intro haha , ........Um, I think the Intro goes at the Beginning? js
I don’t always listen to Pantera but when I do, so do the neighbors.
Amen brother!
@Black Toof “used comments” I guess that’s better than used condoms............

Fun fact : I got my stupid constantly yelling at each other dumbass neighbors move the fuck out thanks to PanterA.
Nice
Man, that dude helped shape me as a teen! I hope he keeps doing well. The PanterA in me will never, ever go away.
They need to get Phil on Hot Wings
I feel like he would tear right through that shit!
They'd have to wash it all down Lone Star State Style. A little BLACK TOOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That host would cower in Fear at the sight of Phil. I’d love to see that.
Genius idea. Fuck yeah.
I would pay to see Phill losing his shit on Da Bomb xD
I could watch him talk allllllll day. I like his mannerisms and voice. And of course the way he looks.
I love pantera chicks BANGING💣💥💨💨👊👊
Lmfao your pic makes me laugh every time I see it
I LOVE YOU PHIL ANSELMO! YOU ARE MY FAVORITE VOCALIST OF ALL TIME, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LEAVING ME A PERSONAL VIDEO MESSGAGE ON FACEBOOK LAST YEAR 🤘
Phil, in heavy metal, you are also a god and I know a lot of people would agree. pantera was the perfect heavy metal band in every way.
@Cobb Knobbler when they were together they were the perfect metal band... the biggest band of all time, the beatles. guess what... they broke up too... doesn't take anything away from the time they were together.
I agree..he is a Deity of metal by far.
fondfarewell2 ! I agree..obviously he or she doesn't listen to the music or know any of these ppl personally..
yeah, there called fans. most bands have em....
fondfarewell2 ! He is a Living Legend 🤘🏻🖤
That Ozzy respect.

He's cleaned up his act, dude looks and sounds great
I'd love to be able to tell Phil, someday, just how much the lyrics of The Great Southern Trendkill made me feel less alone...and still do.
Their best and darkest album
"I like your black metal vocals; they're blood curdling."
"Bless you."
One of the best parts of this interview
I love Anselmo's confidence.
Superjoint is one of my favorite bands. Great fn interview!
👑King Phillip. The En minor is sounding amazing! (Very strong and cinematic)
Awesome video. You asked a lot of good followup questions.
2019 and I just had a PanterA decal made for my truck window. Even though they are no more It is still my favourite band.
Ill take one.
Looking pretty healthy now! Hellyeah Phil Rock on \m/.
nice interview, im looking forward to the En Minor album
Thank you.
Same here!
I liked the interviewers questions I have to say

Best interview i have seen with Phil in a long time. It is good when the interviewer knows what he is talking about.
I love you Philip Hansen Anselmo 😈💫💞

The hardest part is living your life in regret!!!. Glad we have Phil!!. Congrats on Sobriety, it’s not easy for sure !. 💯
That guys accent is awesome yeeehaw
Cool to hear Phil just being straight up sharing his knowledge and wisdom not that I don’t enjoy the smartass funny side of Phil.
No drugs and CIGARETTES Phil! Hit the gym! Powerlifting! I’m telling ya man, it’s fricking life changing!
Cannot believe he still has his vocals jus as well as they were when he first started
Forever n ever n ever
Love it!!

Thanks for noticing. It's hard to hide an accent this thick sometimes.
I was there. They were awesome
We need Phil and Kerry to do something, maybe we can keep the slayer feeling going!!!!!!!
They jammed in 89
I would be more interested in an original down lineup reunion
NOLA is in my opinion one if the top 5 albums of all time

That would be epic like the way Gary Holt took over as guitar player ... damn that line up would be so fuckin sweet

Thank you.
Phil looks much healthier and happy. Glad he is doing well.

Asheville NC November 2nd
I know it's going to be a good Phil interview when I don't have to put the speed on 1.5X
Haha. No doubt. But you have to admit, phil has to be one of the best slow talkers around.
Really hope he brings the Illegals to Cleveland soon. I could play all those Pantera songs pretty well. I been playing them for years.
Dudes voice is crazy wicked sounding
Northshore love to you my man. I really miss your Pop's red sauce .Its hard to find anything close to the flavor, maybe:Rockies
