@Jintri. If Phil did any of what you suggested that would make him a commercial sell-out which goes against everything he & Pantera stand for! Now Phil reading children's books is a different story, if you haven't already check him out narrating a 'Little Golden Book' story= "The Monster @ the end of the Book". His nieces & nephews are so lucky, imagine having Phil as your Uncle reading you Bedtime Stories, how cool!
What an excellent job by the interviewer to ask the deep questions and also make phil feel comfortable enough to open up. This is top notch journalism.
I was on pretty much the same drug cocktail Phil was on for a long time. Your basically a walking zombie. Now I'm almost off of everything and only on 11mg of methadone which I'll be off in 11 weeks if not sooner. I feel very clear just like Phil does. I just smoke weed now. He's actually been sober for well over 3 years now. Right after the "White Power" controversy back at Dimebash 2016 was basically his turning point. But yeah, it's great that he finally turned shit around. He's one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.
For so long, it was hard to watch Phil's interviews. He would be so in a fog, he wouldn't even be able to string words together. I'm so glad to see him this sharp again.
I turned 51 in Jan and I have to say, being sober is awesome. On the other side of the sword, the memories of the damage I caused is a b...h! Stay strong brother Phil, life gets better. God bless you and yours.

Seen them 4 times back during the Vulgar tour and far beyond tour. Amazing live Band, the pits were beyond brutal. Phil is a great man, I got "unscarred" tattooed across my back like his on his stomach.
Funny story - Many years ago a friend went to get the same tattoo on his stomach. He shows up at the house later that night excited to show everyone. He pulled up his shirt and everyone was like "wow that's cool". I started laughing and he's like "WHAT?!?". I said "it's missing an "R". It said "Unscared". All he could do was shake his head and laugh.

Been a fan since I saw Pantera open for Suicidal Tendencies at the Ritz in NYC 89 or 90. As soon as they played, I was blown away by Phil and the boys. Rex stomping around beating the basslines, Vinny being an absolute caveman, battering the drums, Dime...speaking a magical new language through his guitar, and Phil, calling forth the voice of deities and projecting that voice at the unsuspecting crowd. The very next day, I was at my local record store, Numbers records on Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood Queens. I bought Cowboys from Hell and played that cassette at least a dozen times that day. That show will be a memory I hope I’ll have to the day I cast off this meat suit and go on to the next part of this journey through the universe
