For weapons... for my own nightstar, i would drop the ER PPC and the small puls laser, for 2 more medium lasers or even ER-M Lasers if you have them. And rest of the tonnage would be extra heatsinks or extra armor depends if the mech is cool enough without the ER PPC. With 2 gauss on a night star you rly dont have the need for the range of the ER PPC... better switch down to more mid - close range energy weapons. But in the End its all about your personal preference. My way is = less weapons but constantly be able to fire. My own favorit Nightstar Variant is the Wolf Pheonix Hero... But Nightstars in general is a beautifull Battlemech o7 Keep going and may Fortuna protect your Cockpit ...
smfh wow dude way to make a failstar your gauss makes you lose your sides and your running an er..... why .... uac 5s or dual ac20s no other guns would still be better then that
Failstar? More like hard hitting star, yes the armor and heat is a bit…..meh but hes doing enough damage to rival other mechs around em so id call that a win personally
Thank you very much! =))))))))))))))

I can tell you that a Marauder with 2 x PPC-X will go through your Nightstar before your 2nd shot... or any other mechs.
firing dual guass cannons at a hovertank.....
Need to work on heat management for sure. Or maybe just change weapons up.

Running 4 nightstars with 2 guass each means being hit over 2000 metres away by 8 guass rounds so battering the target a mile away…
