Literally every Ghibli movie is my choice, all of em are WONDERFUL
This was a sweet video. Great to hear them put so much thought into each one.
My four favorite family films would probably be:
The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)
My Neighbour Totoro (1988)
Jumanji (1995)
Vivo (2021)
"THE NAVIGATOR" is THE BEST shout-out I've heard thus far. Masterpiece. The way it made me feel the first time I saw it was PERFECTLY described here too!
such banger lists. All of em
Mandibles and Marcel The Shell
Mine would be:
1) Ratatouille
2) Paddington 2
3) The Greatest Showman
4) Home Alone
Always Ratatouille! Love that film x
@@SophieMcKenzie-Shaw Same! Brilliant film
I like how that lady said "po-ee-tic film"🤣
Kirikou is CLASSIC.
Yay! Kirikou, Labyrinth, and Song of the Sea!
We need more French language African movies for families
My Top 4 Family Films
1. The Lion King (1994)
2. Matilda (1996)
3. Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971)
4. School of Rock (2003)
Love them
My own personal 4:
1. Matilda
2. My Girl
3. School Of Rock
4. Lilo & Stitch
OMG Kirikou
was obsessed with rebecca of sunnybrook farm. from the 1930s and hold up so, so well
Eagle vs Shark represent!
CMIYGL hoodie spotted
I was waiting for them to mention at least one Miyazake film and pleasanrly two got named!
My Four Favourite Family Films
- Babe
- Paddington 2
- Spirited Away
- The Iron Giant
agree with many but would add 'The Secret of Roan Inish' to elevate a lesser known film by John Styles. 5000 fingers of Dr. T is another obscure film worth fishing for
Some old and new classics in there but lol at Bret's last pick: pretty sure that wouldn't make many peoples' family film list! I dig it though. Saw it @ NZIFF 2021 then again more recently 😂
Kirikou
Captain Fantastic
My favorites are all Don Bluth and Karel Zeman. Family films, kinda, but pure nightmare fuel that are meant to teach kids that life is horrible and scary and you will be traumatized
The Yearling
Willie Wonka (Gene Wilder)
Paper Moon
Finding Nemo
Mine is:
A Bug's Life
Small Soldiers
Drop Dead Fred
Last Action Hero
sweet.
Singin' in the Rain
Shrek
My Neighbor Totoro
Back to the Future
No Star Wars?
WHERE IS FANTASTIC MR. FOX?!
Personally I think that one might be for the more mature kids to really sink their teeth into. The dialogue definitely elevates the movie
Hook (1991)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
Airplane (1980)
The Lego Movie (2014)
Hook is amazing. So many great side characters
the red shoes??????
Kid looks like Mia Goth?
Where the Wild Things Are did the opposite for me. That kid was hella annoying.
What they say?
Everything Everywhere is NOT a family film
Neither is "Zoolander" but, since she's a kid, herself, she can pretty much choose whatever she wants for that question... (i.e. if she likes it, it automatically becomes a film she watches with her family).
How is it not? One of the big themes of the movie is family, It's got a few adult moments, but nothing that I think a kid couldn't handle.
That movie IS everything! Action, adventure, comedy, love, loss, and family. It might not be the typical family film, but it deserves to be on anyones list.
It's literally about family wtf are you talking about
there are many dildos and buttplugs in that film XDDD
