hi, I'm in the same boat to replace the led strip on my 2011 27 iMac display. I was wondering if there will be soldering needed for this work. I got the new led strip and not sure if I still need to get a soldering iron for this. Thanks in advance.

Hi Hector! Thanks a lot for your comment! I just try to teach others to fix their (Apple) devices or at leats to try before deciding to trash them. I think I got the Apple technician guide by looking for it in Google. I found it through Google images (haha), but I recently needed one for the Macbook Pro 2015 and I bought it through eBay for a few coins. It was an interactive .pdf, very nice.
