I sold this one a long ago (and regret it!), so I will try to reply based on what I remember: 1 --> First of all, I performed these upgrades using a 2011 iMac. There might be features that don't work on a 2010 iMac. You can always double-check macrumors! 2 --> Never really tried 3 --> I remember I could do that using an Apple Magic with no issue 4 --> You got me here. I don't think why it shouldn't. Again, there are plenty of threads out there in macrumors and for sure very nice people that will definitely provide a better answer than mine. Good luck!

Hi! Not relevant. you should be able to use that single card slot for updating the firmware and maps. The card that is used for update does not need to stay in the car =). Only question I have is what sort of infotainment system do you currently have that has only one SD slot? Just curious...

Thanks @Diab0likt for the reply! Yes, I am using OBDEleven. I bought one many years ago and I cannot be more satisfied with it. Only drawback is the subscription service that VOLTAS implemented later. I don't like subscriptions and I was lucky that they kept my "PRO" license for a lifetime.

Hi! I think this car suffered from oil starvation for a rather long period of time, hence I believe the diesel rating. Performing preventive maintenance on other components, such us the oil pump was my next step. The gaskets around the previous oil pump was leaking already, but the oil pump itself was in good condition. timing was OK. PCV valve was completely full of this mustard-like paste.

Hello! I don't think so. I believe the diesel noise came from oil starvation. I had a leaking oil sump. Do you have a similar problem? Edit: I understand you now because of the misleading video thumbnail. I wrote such a title because installing the exhaust marked the end of a milestone, and I could finally switch the car on again =)

Hi! That is a GREAT question! Based on the SSP 606 document, the dual-injection system was designed in order to reduce CO2 emissions, to comply with Euro 6 standard (10x less carbon soot emissions), greater system pressure (from 150 to 200psi), better sound (don't really resonate with that) and the creation of an emergency injection system, just in case one of them fails (this looks to me more like a commercial strategy to justify the replacement of these 8x injectors, ±2000.- excl. labour 🤔). The MPI system works in low-mid torque demand (across all rpm range) and is low-pressure. The dual system only works mostly in high-power (low-medium rpm). The FSI system for high-power (high-rpm). In average, cars are used in low-mid power demand across all rpm range, which in this case means MPI and dual injection systems. In this case, this means MPI ALWAYS ON. Now, carbon-buildup happens mostly in "low/medium" rpm/power demand range (let's assume "low/medium" means less than half of the peak torque/power demand), which is when MPI is always ON. Does the MPI system HELP reducing the carbon buildup? Well, based on the above I BELIEVE it helps. Does it PREVENT carbon build up? NO IDEA and I am very curious to know but I know no-one with a DI VW/SEAT. My car is a 2019 model, comes only with FSI (direct injection) and complies with all of the above DI advantages (except for the emergency system 😆). I believe the solution here was the introduction of double catalytic converters (±10hp less, but Euro 6 compliant). Hope this answer helps!

Hello! Thanks for contacting me. Hmm I would check 2:04 in the video. I am showing in detail the amount of tiny tabs this glass has in order to stay in place. Pulling the glass could damage the actuators behind. To be more specific, the plastic interface that these tabs hold onto. Removing the cover does not take much effort. Why to just do it? Do you have any other problem there?

First of all I am grateful for attention and reply. You are right. Not making sense. You see Sata power form main board comes in 7 wires, now these 7 wires are converted to four normal Sata wires and the crazy fan is now on normal RPM. I have done it. Hey! Official dealers want to/have to make money. It is very easy to pretend to not to know about a certain topic, while convincing customers that the "paid" method is somehow "better", "more reliable", "safe(r)" [...]. I had a similar story enabling CarPlay in my car. I knew I could just hack the unit and so be it. In the end they made me an offer (100.- discount) and they managed to install CarPlay. What they did not realize is that the rest of the extras were disabled and I could barely use the infotainment system. To sum up, I had to bring the car to the dealer again for a full reset and blah blah blah...very disappointed. But, they got their money! Sad.

Hello! I believe that could be an issue with the SD card. I have a card that for some reason the car cannot read and that is the SD card I was trying to use for updates. ThenI decided to use the same card that is used for the maps and it just worked fine with the exact same file. It could also be that the firmware version is not supported. I read for the forum that upgrading from 3.XX to 4.XX or 4.XX to 5.XX is not possible. Just within the version number (e.g., 3.7.8 to 3.8.0). Hope this helps and good luck!

Hello! I have OBDEleven and (so far) never had an issue updating firmware. It is true that there is an error showing after scan and it is because the firmware is not installed officially, but it is still 100% operational. Good luck!

Hi! I think this specific update took no more than 15 minutes. However, I would recommend you to place a good battery first or use an external power source to power the car. No one wants to deal with a jammed infotainment system. Good luck!

Hey! No worries. The fault came back. There is nothing wrong with that, except that the system labels the update as "suspicious" because it cannot verify it officially somehow. car runs perfectly and infotainment too. Good luck if you finally decided to proceed!

Hi! Stiff screwdriver with a flat tip (I prefer the ones that are meant to be for electronics). Your best friend here, a mirror that allows you to see the tabs. So, insert the screwdriver and feel the tab, pry and part of the airbag unit should come out. The other half should be a bit more hesitant due to the added tension, but nothing to worry. I realize now that I did not fill the process and I should do this more often. Noted! let me know if I can help you further =)

Hello! I replaced the entire exhaust line. This is catalytic converter, id silencer and end silencer. The last two were second hand =)

@@josephmcconnell4654 sorry for the late reply. Work is hectic at the moment! OK, D6 and R15 are not used in the new board, correct? Then D+ will be your D3-white, D- will be your D4-purple and final 3V3 will be your D2-red. You can also download the schematics of your board and do a mapping =). @@javitobosch Yeah, the page fully works, but the issue that i have is that my station has the MHI2_ER_SEG11_P3315 version, and now i found on the page that is another version MHI2_ER_SEG11_P4704_MU1308.7z. I dont know if it is the correct one, but is the only one wich is available as i can see... I downloaded it on an USB, connected to the car and it dont allow me to update the firmware. I think the car dont read nothing on the USB. (The USB wich i used is an new Kingston, i just used it only for this oporation).

Hello! I remember I did not have any radio station logo at all since I purchased my car and my dad with a 2015 Seat Leon had all of them. Quite annoying. I would suggest you to update the Radio Data Base (RDB). All steps are in the video =). Let me know if it helps

@@javitobosch well after update like you did in video, I turned on radio, and there is no logo on any of stations, I tried everything and didn't manage to get it back, even inspected folders that I downloaded and there is also no any logo inside. After all, I downloaded just pictures from some of radio station and do it manually, but still no success with automatic logo picture...

Hey! This is a really interesting case, to be honest. Android Auto working but CarPlay not. As fas as I understand they all come within the same software package. A way to proceed that I have in mind for you is to press the menu button for a few seconds (like in the video) and once in the Service Mode, click on the Function enabling Codes. There you should see the Apple Car Play/Mirror Link/Android Auto package and should also tell about status (something like Valid/Not valid/Not accepted). If SWaP, FEC code is OK, then verify that your iPhone has CarPlay enabled (Siri must be enabled for that). And if these to are OK, then I would ultimately take the car to the dealer for further diagnosis. Good luck and let us know what the outcome is! You might be helping someone else in the future!

@@javitobosch Hi, I saw another video about VW where he told to factory reset, so I found the option to factory reset Full Link and now it works. In his case it was App-connect, in my case I had to factory reset Full Link

@@javitobosch I updated with the Firmware from mibsolution from MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0359T to MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0369T and now I want to Update to 479. But my display always shows dependencies of update not met. But its the right Update for my car... dont know why it worked with 369 but not wuth 479

@@fritz3039 I was not aware of that. I actually just checked my car and you are right. It came form the factory with 514T (now 516T). The question that I have is why upgrading is not possible if you literally have the same HW as mine? Thanks for sharing!
