Alex is not kidding when he says orders are usually shipped out the same day. I placed an order so late in the day that I was anticipating it would be shipped out the next day. It surprised me that my order was shipped out the same day. Amazing! I appreciate Alex keeping us informed of his products. Life is a two way street. I wish Alex continued success in his business so that we can continue to receive informative content.
Very true. The same happened with me.. I ordered something in the afternoon and it was shipped the same day. I did not expect it to be shipped that day..
The tension was high when powered on but the sigh of relief was even higher. Great job Alex. You have saved another piece of electronics from the dump; saving the world one piece at a time.

Alex, another better than factory job. Love watching your work, it's better than watching a movie. Thanks for reminding me to wash my hands after soldering with leaded solder, because sometimes you're so busy working you tend to forget. Another lesson in micro soldering and hygiene all mixed into one. Thank you, God bless.
Great video, great fix. It shows how much skill you've got. Many people are having problems concentrating on soldering a single wire but you solder microscopic components while giving life lessons amazing! Respect to you Alex
I always enjoy watching you during your repairs, very informative. Like I mentioned before, I am a novice at an older age, but there is no time or age limit to learn, and I have learned plenty from you. Thank you Houssein Ali, hope we can meet some day.
watching Alex fulfills the dream I had doing this, where I live it was not possible for me to do this, but i get to see it. All the best to him and his team.
Alex is by far the the best electronics repair tech on UA-cam. The nice part is reading the comment from a customer who is also a subscriber to the channel.
That's SO good that you said you don't have to keep the flux in the fridge and that you can ignore the "use by date" printed on it! I only need to do SMD soldering occasionally and the short use by date has put me off buying the rather expensive flux, but now that I know I can just ignore it, I can buy some!
I like the shot of Big Bosse's reflection in the Imac. When you are talking, I wait for your personal remarks about family and life situations. Say HI to your dad and mom. They raised a good "Kid".
Not only are you great at micro-soldering but you are a good man, too, with your family working alongside! Keep up the good work! (And thanks again for these videos.)
I have a 2012 IMac 27" that came with some cracks in the display in the upper right side. Although they aren't a distraction in viewing what's on the screen, I know eventually I will have to replace it. Thank goodness for Alex and IFixit for all of their assistancewith knowledge in repair.

Good repair! Agree with all your ads and truthfulness people don't understand you don't just fix but have a shop and that one person every video might have wished they knew if it wasn't talked about...
Your new workplace looks so spacious and homely, Alex. I love the sofa! Interesting how we can become so attached to a computer or device that we want it repaired at all costs. Love is joy!

I still have my mid 2010 IMac, Used daily, only cleaned out once, SSD drive installed and upgraded RAM, thats it! If anyone wants to upgrade there drive just remove the optical drive and add an SSD. These machines are very well built. My gaming PC has been through 2 PCU's in less time than ive owned my IMac
@@giorgos7six it went earlier this year. Nearly made 14 years! Not sure if it was the screen or the graphics card. Wasn’t worth finding out, got myself a Mac mini now 👍
I think it is awesome that you provide so much instruction on how to use the products that you sell. I am glad that you showcase the products and test them on camera for us to see!
A friend of mine had a 2011 20.5" iMac. When the HDD died, he tried to install a new HDD but ripped the screen cable and just gave up and bought a 2019 4K 20.5. His old iMac was never used so I bought it from him for the equivalent of 75 USD... but I also made him pay for the shipping so for around half that amount. I ordered a new screen cable, put in an SSD and now it works like a charm. Still have it and although it can't be updated to the lates MacOS, it doesn't matter to me. I bought a cheap Apple 30" Cinema Display and have connected it to the iMac. 100 USD for both and it's great!
Thank you for the great video. I worked in the service industry and I would do everything I could to help a polite customer. On the other hand, we would throw the book at customers who wouldn't cooperate.

N.B. Nothing to do with your electronic channel but with your comments in the video: Just a precision about your "light" theory that i am sure we can agree on. Harsh light vs Diffused. It's not about being close or far away but it's about the size of the light compared to the subject. By default if you take the same light and move it further, it is going to be "smaller". Closer and it will be "bigger". Your soft box is diffusing your light by "transforming/increasing" the surface of your light source. Best visual example i can describe would be: Take a candle and put it right next to your face. It's not big enough to light up all around your head and will create harsh shadow. Take a light source bigger than your body (shower curtain lit from behind) and put it 6 feet away from you and your head will be surrounded by light and more softer shadow. It has to do with the physic of how light particules travel. Lets not forget that if you move a light source further away and/or increase it's surface, you'll need to increase the power output of the source but that's another topic :)
Nice fix. I am still using a 486DX66 with 8MB of ram. It still does the job it has been doing since 1993. All passive cooling and the 340MB HDD still works as not often written to.
I, for one, have no issue with your pitching of products. I am not in the business. I have no intention of buying your products (no need), but I find your videos very entertaining. It's not like you are just doing an infomercial on QVC.

I’ve had flux from the 80s and it still functions. But speaking of health hazards…I started soldering at the age of 8. Now my brother my have mentioned to me to not breath in the fumes but as a kid who listens. I’m going on 45 years old but so far still feel fine breathing. But it is no joke as I grew up reading about the hazards of the fumes, drew a big “oh poop”.
People were telling me I'd go blind for always being in front of my computers in the '70s. They were right: I began having to wear reading glasses. 40 years later :D
My first comment after 30 videos. Yes, you have my subscription because I like people who know what they're talking about. Thank you and greetings Frankfurt ( Germany )
I am watching this video on a 2010 iMac 27". It's 2.93 GHz Quad-Core i7, with 32 GB of RAM (though I ran it for many years on just 8GB just fine). It is plenty powerful. I even went to the trouble of installing a new GPU so I could update the OS using Open Core (which means of course that, had Apple wanted to, they could have made it work themselves, but chose not to). It's a great machine and does everything I need. (The only reason for me to even have more than say 2-4GB of RAM, is to load musical instrument sample libraries into RAM for music composition, which tend to be in the hundreds or thousands of MBs apiece.)
MaşaAllah your Daughter name is very beautiful. My Daughter name is Maryam too. 😊 The other day i went to mosque for prayer. And i saw a person same like you. Then i realized you live in USA not Istanbul 😂😂

The reason why you did not see the chime screen is that the user has replaced the GPU. Apple uses a different kind of firmware on their GPU's, even if you swapped the same model with a replacement from a non-apple source.
