The Tick messed up on the weight by not including the BB on the X6 so here are the corrected numbers:
The weight of the stock cranks and bb are 2.22lbs or 1007g
The weight of the X6 cranks with 32t chainring and bb is 1.68lbs or 762g
A savings of .54lbs or 245g
Still significant! I know the pain! So easy to make a minor mistake and not realize it until the video is already posted!
What's up guys! This is Hayden from bike #4! My dad watches you all the time. I helped him work on the bike in the background. My dad says that we are going to do upgrades on mine this summer. Those pedals would really help! I vote for number 4.
Well bud thank you for watching us and very cool you helped your dad with his build:) Looks good and lets all hope everything stays together!!LOL Good luck on the pedals voting and it looks like right now you are in the lead!!! Your vote is also accounted for.Later Bud!!
All of the kids' bikes were awesome!
So many great beginner bikes. And personally, my favorite was #2!
Good luck to all of you!
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
#1 for me. Gotta support the girls(I have three daughters who all ride). I just bought and installed an Acolyte groupset for my oldest daughters gravel/commuter bike. Cambria was the only place that I found cassette, shifter and derailleur with the clutch in stock right now.
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
Gotta vote for #4. Need some aftermarket something on that stock Mongoose!
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
Those are sharp cranks dudes…. Nice blue pedals too guys wow fancy…..we’ll have to send you guys a pic of us and our bikes…..🤘🤘
Sounds good fellas:)
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS thanks for the shout out by the way hahaha forgot to mention …. Glad you guys like em they are super fun….very convenient on the bikes that’s for sure….we hope you guys have an awesome Father’s Day weekend….😀😀🤘🤘
#1! Girl out racing is awesone! Even though #2 is my kid.
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
As a girl dad myself I gotta vote #1, keep those ladies pedaling!
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
I vote #8 1st place and #4 2nd place. Not gonna lie I have a huge soft spot for GT and Mongoose bikes growing up in the 80's
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
My Vote is for #2. I love that the kid is doing the mods himself. I really like the passing of knowlege. I do the same with my kids with everything that I can.
Vote COUNTED! Thanks Robert, very cool choice and we all feel the same way:)
I'm gonna have to vote for number 8 that zaskar just neeeds some good pedals on it
those look like the original GT BMX pedals on that bike . . . I wouldn’t change a thing on it
@@CT.411 They are BMX pedals from the same time period, but they are S&M brand.
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
Finally! project *damn 29-er hardtail gonna be finished! I've ordered new fork - Reba RL 120mm, it will arrive at the end of the week can't wait to test it!
Ma that is EXCITING!! We are excited for you:) Gonna be sooooooo freaking squishy!! LOL
I vote #1 because she can show small girls that they can do anything
Well stated and thank you for watching, the vote is in!!:)
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Yay i hope she wins!
Hi another great video 👍love the kids bikes it's got to be number 4 plastic ones on that bike by the looks 👍let's get him started .stock bike by the looks .crank look nice .keep up the good work😊
Thank you Clive the Vote has been accounted for.
#8, that bike is sick. Says something about the quality when bike still looks sharp after 25 years
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
Those cranks look like mine on my track bike lol it does look prettty cool…. And number 4 for the viewers rides
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
Love the GT, but I will vote for #7 (he probably needs the pedals to get him started on the upgrades).
LEBRON PHOTO........COM LOL
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
That kids rides segment is tough to vote on! They were all really cool. I'm going with #2
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
I'm not upset, but I liked the early upload! Your 11am is my lunchtime, though, so it's still good! Really want one of them caps! If you guys ever do merch that's something you should reproduce
Will do Chris! So happy it does not mess you up brother:) Thanks and Stem Caps will be a def!!
I don't care when you upload, I don't have a cheldue, I watch and upload and edit when I can. Sometimes I am early sometimes late and watch several vids in a row. Do what you can when you can, when it suits you.
Thanks Johannes:) We can always count on them EAGLE EYES!!!!
Going with #4 those stock plastic pedals are trash.
Great video boys stay cool and hydrated 🍉🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
Just give all the kids something🤘
In the next couple weeks I might have some stickers for you to unveil on your channel😁
Sounds good BERSERKER! We may do a little something something:) But lets see what the NATION votes!! Later BERSERKER and see you FRIDAY!
Gotta go with #8. Great looking Zaskar
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
Gotta love the oval 😁😁😁 Cranks look sharp! Axum DP is coming along very nicely! Also #3 has my vote for sure! CAPTAINS KID!
Thanks brother, that crankset is bar far my favorite one yet:)Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
Man I’m going to have to go with #8. I feel bad not choosing one of the younger kids but man that bike! That thing is sweat and it’s going some cheap pedals on it so why not just help him out!! And that crankset is sick man I can’t wait for the review!!
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for. Dude the Crankset is SWEET!! LOL Fork Review Coming out FRIDAY!! See you then Matteo
Good addition to the Axum. Looks like the video is doing well. I wish the oval could be rotated about 20-30° clockwise because the majority of power in a pedal stroke is 1-4 o'clock in my opinion. I don't think it's possible with that direct mount sprocket though.
Jeremiah can't wait to try them and find out. I was kinda thinking along the same lines as you, but hey who knows. We will know soon enough. Thanks man👍.
Dang, I missed the announcement for the contest. I would have submitted my son's bike. Anyway, I'm voting for #1 because she's racing.
Next Time brother:) Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
Guys, how about a Wolftick merch store? I am sure many of us would lovd a Wolftick stem cap 😉
Once we hit 10k we will start selling merch. Not sure stem caps will be offered but we will have something. Thanks S Lin👍😊
Must admit I would buy one. 👍
#8 all day long with the GT Zaskar and the under appreciated AMP Research fork!
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
#8....... the Zaskar was one of the bikes I tried to buy in the early 90's, but they were so popular it was hard to find one. I ended up buying a GT RTS full suspension, so it's got my vote.
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
Gotta be #4 since its all stock. The plastic pedals (im assuming) on it are…. Im just gonna say it they’re crap man 😂 very slippery and they aint very nice imo😂😂
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
For those that know...that GT Zaskar is a vintage piece of gold. That bike would command more now then when it was new in 1994. The AMP Research Horst's Link fork is worth a mint!! So cool that his Son is ripping it up on some good stuff!
The advantage of direct mount is lower weight, and no spider to bend or snap off, but some brands have spider you can install on the direct mount. Like Race Face.
Thanks for answering my question Johannes:)
The Axum looks Sweet with the New Cranks set & Pedals 👀👊🏽
Hey thanks Delbert👍
Dude the Crankset is such a cool visual upgrade man!! I think everyone likes it!! See you Friday Delbert, Thanks man!
#9 would look good with those pedals!
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
17:57 looks like Sram direct mount standard. Good they went for something that already exist not somethibg only they have
Agreed:)
All the kid's bike had something very cool about them. Can't decide!!!
LOL!! Cmon man, there is not going to be a participation award! YOU GOTTA DECIDE!! LOL
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS # 7
THANK YOU FOR MAKING A DECISION:)
Woop Woop, all the rides are sweet, im picking #6, and that shirt looks good on the tick, and as always keep your sh*# up i went PG on that this time for the kids lol...
LOL Thank you for keeping it edited! HA HA your vote has been counted and boy that shirt has gotten love from EVERYBODY! Thanks Daveferd!
im gonna have to go with the kiddo on the GT #8 for me! awesome frame looks very similar to the aggressor!
Thank you for watching and the vote is in!!:)
11:34 that's a rare sight, the bike looks like it's on good shape too. Linkage forks are rare now
Man that thing is AWESOME!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS but the major flaw with this linkage design is the travel is limited, but other linkage designs exist that allow more travel.
Linkage forks are still bein developed and used by some. There was a brand called Trust Performance, but they shut down due to Corona virus situation. www.pinkbike.com/news/trust-performance-ceasing-operations-effective-immediately.html
Rock Sled is developing a single sided linkage fork made of carbon fibre. www.mbr.co.uk/news/rocksled-linkage-fork-394787 But a negative of this design is the fork is very wide, so if you like to squeeze between rocks this is not the fork to do it with, but it's under development, so things have changed.
Motion E18 is a fork using linkages, carbon fibre leaf springs, and a damper. www.motion-ride.com/en/8-93-motion-e-18.html
Structure Cycleworks has a linkage fork that is part of the front triangle. structure.bike/
Here is a video on it: ua-cam.com/video/zhs6VRUWBLI/v-deo.html
Adroit Cycleworks has a carbon linkage fork, it has a lot of similarity to the 90'ss Proflex design.
www.adroitcycleworks.com/product/adroit-front-subframe-linkage-fork/
They also have a single sided version: www.adroitcycleworks.com/product/adroit-single-sided-linkage-fork/
Wow those links are AWESOME!!
Wow. Thank you for all of that info. The downfall of that fork is definitely the travel. But the weight and smoothness can't be beat. The company that made the fork on the GT Zaskar started out designing airplane landing gears. You can kind of see it as you watch the fork do its thing.
My vote is for #2....jumpers definitely need upgraded good "shin eater" pedals!!
He’s got my extra set on there now but I need my pedals back! Hahahahaha
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
Love all the bikes. Gotta vote for my son's though, as I make his vinyl. #9
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
4:50 the timing on That oval chainring ring looks good. But the plate tool is unusual it's like a weird mix between aerodynamic track chainring used in velodrome and a mtb chainring that has cnc'd out holes for weight reduction. I've not seen this look before
Do you like it?
Me and my dad watched all the videos and he is building his gt aggressor pro
Thats Awesome! Thank you for checking us out with you and our POPS:)

Great color matching on this build too.

Hilarious intro. Thanks for the stickers..very cool.
You are very Welcome!
#4 for me that is very stock and in desperate need of upgrade
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
#4 seems the most stock & really needs some upgrades plus it has the worst pedals in the group so it gets my vote.
Thanks for the Vote:) It has been accounted for.
I’m voting #7 watermelon 🍉. All the kids bikes were great and many already had upgrades. Love the racer, action shots and the vintage zaskar but voting to help get another kid hooked on sport and upgrading his bike. Great vid as always!

Just got my USA Made chainring. Its AWESOME! Just waiting on my X6 crankset and I'll be all set. 👍👍👍
NICE!!! I just bent a tooth on mine:( but got an extra thanks to Jacoby Wilson
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Dude! No way! Tell me how the 30t vs. 32t is working with your group set. Thanks for your help and insight👍 #keepMePosted @WOLFTICK
Man I have not had a chance to ride with the 30T yet! I just bent t this last weekend with the Brake upgrade/downgrade:) But I have ridden with a 30T and 32T oval and I feel the 30T is a little better as far as torque goes.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS "We would recommend a nine speed chain. The ring's teeth are optimally designed for 9-11 speed. Since you have an 8 speed rear cog, the nine speed chain would be the best compromise."

Great idea:)
#6 it was a tough call but the shirt was the tie-breaker.
The direct mount chainring looks sweet, like a saw blade for your bike.
Man the Axum is now gonna be called the BUZZSAW!! LOL Thanks Joshua and the Shirt is peeerrrrrrfect for me!! DAVEFERD strikes again!! WOOP WOOP LOL. Also got your vote brother.

Love em pdx pedals. They aint bulging on the middle area. And the spikes really bite well on pearl izumi flat pedal shoes.
Good to hear man, thanks. Hopefully you are right and my new SANDUGO shoes will grip them well:)
Had izumi shoes bought during a sale last year. Got em for 25 bucks.
DAMN! That is crazy cheap man:)

X6 crankset looks great, might even swap out my ixf for one.
Great video as always guys, take care 🍺👍😎
😂😂 It was a little warm to say the least!!!! LOL You are a smart a**!
The whole bunch is a very cool field of young riders, the X6 is freaking awesome yes! And how about that chainring!!? Thanks Dan, much love from the US!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS it's been really hot here lately, but it looked like we're really suffering 😂
The chain rings very cool, reminds of the disc on table saw.
Stay safe guys and try to keep cool 🍺😎👍
YES SIR!! Keeping cool is the name f the game right now:) Later Dan! See you Friday at 5pm :)
Looks like you don't need the driveside spacer, because @18:40 you can see the axle is not fully inside the other crank arm.
Well if the spar is not there the crankarm will collide with the Chainstay, also the compression nut I installed actually took that bit of space away:) Thanks for looking out though David, appreciate the extra eyes my man:)
DP looks solid with that Markhor fork!!
In all seriousness, how is that dropper that Walmart gives you? Would you compare it to that of maybe a brandX or a Tranzx?
Not as smooth as a Tranz X but I believe it is all in the remote....I would get a new remote and see how she does. Not a bad dropper to be included though. Thanks for watching!!
That chainring is sweet! Is it heavier than a standard chainring?
Man.....I should of weighed it seperately but I had still got one I need to:) I will tell you it looks cooler in person and man is it LIGHT! Thanks Joshua
The blue matched really well with the Axum blue. If you decide to get rid of that plastic nut on the cranks if it’s the same size as the ixf it’s a 19mm.. I have an extra let me know I’ll send it to ya.. as for my vote I choose #3
Dude the blue was a crazy match:) also appreciate the plastic compression thingy, but hopefully it does not fall out and we can keep her in there lol, thanks John. Also you vote has been accounted for:)
try jg bike bars and stem. jg bike also makes a ixf killer crankset for 40 bucks which 10 dollars less than the 50 bucks for the ixf.

I contacted USA Made and ask what chain they would suggest running with an 8 speed group set and here is the reply I received.
"We would recommend a nine speed chain. The ring's teeth are optimally designed for 9-11 speed. Since you have an 8 speed rear cog, the nine speed chain would be the best compromise."
Man doing our homework for us!!! Thank you!
On 17" frames, is the top tube generally the same length on all bikes ? Or do they vary by manufacturer
They vary by manufacturer, the Schwinn Al Comp is a 18"? The top tube is so freaking short the bike feels lie a 16", The GT on the other hand is a 17" and the top tube is stretched out pretty good.
Love the rides. #4

Im looking to build a hardtail would you recommend the gt agressor pro thats 499 or the schwinn axum dp for 498
Well we love both, but most people would probably say the Axum because of the more modern geometry, dropper, and 1X. It really matters on what frame size you need and if you prefer a 29er or 27.5. If you are looking for a small then for sure the GT, but if you are looking at a med or large then either will work. Let us know what you decide to go with.
