- Keep in mind while watching this, my feet are squeezed into the most basic binding on skis, tiny at that, not held in very well, and I'm standing directly on the bare skis with my foot! Not the most ideal situations but fun nonetheless. Secondly, I forgot to reset my camera to 4K and some shots are pretty low res. My option was to toss the footage or to say, my bad. So, my bad. How's that for some disclaimers?!
Self quarantine time and lake is the best way to spend the day with the family. With so many options and ways to have fun, why not squeeze my feet into my kid's combo skis?! I hand my kids the camera and the fun begins and I was honestly kinda rethinking my decision when I was approaching the double up, especially after the first one. But, I still had to send it for some reason. I wanted to know what it felt like. It was scary because the double up is 4 times the size of the skis and coming down on these mini things was nothing short of frightening. My kids usually want to tube so when they asked if they could ski...let's do this!

Only about a year late to comment, but family memories last a lifetime. So appreciated you sharing your inspiring stories of getting the kids on the water. My kids are grown now but they still love playing behind my 2018 Nautique GS22. Everybody has their favorite activity: slalom, wakeboard, wake surf, tubing, and cruising on LKA in VA
It’s so awesome to see you doing family days. We have three little girls and there’s nothing better than getting them behind the boat.

This is what life and family is all about, great video. I learn to ski when i was 10 and I'm super impressed with your kids. I'm 43 today and just tried wakeboarding for the first time this weekend. Totally hooked now🤙

Right on Casey! Have you seen my belly boarding video. Not necessarily for all kids but works well for many and even though my kids can ride, they still like to go belly boarding 4 at a time. yeah, that's a lotta ropes to deal with. Have to coil them back in 1 at a time!

This was exactly the video I needed to see today! Was literally cheering for P at the end!! FYI - my dad didn't let any of us double - we were straight to deep water slalom behind a jet boat. LOL

Looking fwd to when my daughter's get bit older can bring them along. The youngest is 4 days old so might give her another while. 😁

Super thankful the lake is in the backyard and yes there are potentially gators in most bodies of water in Florida. We really don't worry about em too much.

Hey Sean!!! My buddy and I are two seasons into wakeboarding! We have a 144cm 2019 hyperlite Murray board which is butter! Super smooth and soft all the way around however without a top notch boat our wake is only so big.... what 3 stage rocker board will get us the most pop ??? Also we are 5-7 and 5-11 around 160lb each. Is 139 a better size ????? We are looking to purchase ASAP! Thanks man you’re a true inspiration!
I don' think going down to a 139 would be better. I'm 5'6" 150 and ride my 139 sometimes but currently have my boots on my 144.
Try to find some of those shorty trick skis you can spin on. I always wanted to try them.

Love the videos shaun you are great, how do you get over the fear of doing a trick for the first time, ive done a 360 and 180 but cant seem to build up the courage to do a h/s backroll

I use a 1.5” diameter homemade syphon, empty’s those cans lighting fast 🤘🏼
Works well too but you have to prime it somehow

Fun times during quarantine... We are also fortunate to be quarantined beside a lake, here in the UK. How have you guys worked out the ride slots between other users? I was just about to start back out on the water when the lockdown came but not sure if it's safe or not to do so. Any news on your side of the Atlantic? Quick question: Does having the fins on the wakeboard limit how much pull I am getting from my wake to wake jumps? Would you recommend taking them off for more edge/pull across the wake to increase pop?And how easy it is to switch?
john wilbur try riding smaller fins. If you go no fins you will come off the wake very slippery and land wrong. I ride .8 fins which allow me to still have grip but still be a little more slippery.

I think you'd enjoy the 144. I'm 5'6" 150 and I ride my 144 sometimes.

No, your fins act more as stability. If you've never gone finless you should give it a try. Much looser. You will fully be depending on your edges for control. Big wake and launches you gonna want some sort of fin. Nothing to crazy big, molded in fins are dope. If you got a small wake and just fooling around, take the fins off and have some fun.
