This is very helpful and I relate a lot. Boredom is the best thing ever but it's so difficult to endure being bored if you're entertaining yourself all day. I always find a purpose, love life but then ''forget'' what the purpose of it was (even when I write it down, reading it feels meaningless) and I try clutching to it and force myself to keep going but everytime I end up in the same negative spiral until Im able to be bored again or atleast not on the computer 24/7. Weird times

It is only once I had left college and started working have I begun to truly think for myself and question what my purpose is in life. This video has been great food for thought. Keep it up!

As soon as you brought up boredom, it immediately reminded me of discussions I've had with friends about the exact same thing. About how the reason we may search for fulfillment with vices and addictions because suddenly being entertained all the time isn't enough because we're not bored enough

Ironically watching this at 2 am cause my brain refuses boredom even for the few minutes it takes to fall asleep.

in my mind achieving so much just to die is stupid and pointless just like losing your 4yr old Minecraft world, that’s why I procrastinate and don’t have any goals, you might say (god, hell, heaven, Christianity this Islam that) or any other belief but at the end of the day it’s a belief no one came back to life yelling “ yo afterlife exists” and at the opposite end living forever also is meaningless, I know most people don’t break their brains thinking about these stuff and just go on with their lives till they die but tbh outside our instinctual survival goals and purpose like survive reproduce as much as possible then die all the other purposes are made up by us cuz we got too much brain and got bored, everyday im thinking “I’ll die my family will die my loved ones will die everyone currently living will die” so it really doesn’t make any impact on the universe whether im working a job i hate to get rich in my 40s or die medium poor, or achieve a lot, everything I look at isn’t worth being my purpose, I don’t want to kill my self like those who do, cuz life is addictive but meaningless at the same time but I have fear of missing out so no self kill, guess I’ll just ride the wave and see where this journey takes me, I’ll try my best to be a decent human so if any of the religions were right I have a chance of getting into heaven or ascension 🤷‍♂️

      Hey there
I sort of know what you mean. I've suffered with depression to the point of almost ending it all until I decided that asking for help wouldn't hurt, especially when I was so close to actually hurting myself. But anyway, I also pondered a lot about death and how life seemed meaningless when whatever you it always leads to the same ending as everyone and everything else. But here's the catch: the ending doesn't really matter. What you do everyday is not suppose to make due to some accounting at the end of life that decides whether your life was worth living or not. In fact, what you do everyday, what's actually in your power to do is usually f-ing boring. The beauty of everyday life is what happens to you. Sure, some days nothing much will happen but who knows what will happen on other days if you just leave your computer and maybe go to the movies? (Using myself as an example here, not you) Maybe you'll meet the love of you life. Maybe you'll see a rainbow. Maybe you'll see a nice and cheap notebook on store and decide to write poems in it. The point is: sure, it all leads to the same end, some sooner, some later, but we all have different stories and those stories are worth living, even if it gets SO DAMN BORING sometimes. Cheers! Sorry if it sounded like preaching, just sharing my point of view as someone being treated for depression.

One thing I love that I just realized is how this video itself is an example of what you’re saying. You ended the video by saying that this is meant to be the best channel for gamers who “want to change their lives.” That’s clearly your purpose, and the fact that you have such a clear one is what makes your content always so good. Great video, your content is a big inspiration for my own!

Exactly, the only "purpose" people are born with is to experience life. Each individual has to create their own purposes in order to be happy. Honestly I don't think earlier generations had an easier time with it, the economy just wasn't in a chokehold. Actually I think alot of "mid life crisis" in older generations was them realizing they'd gone through the motions society set up for them without ever questioning why, or what their actual individual purposes goals and dreams were. We sit at sort a unique position where there is no "American dream" wool over our eyes and we can create our own paths from the beginning. And yeah it's scary, that's why so many people ignore the big questions as long as possible. Whether through mindlessly following a "go to school find work get a spouse get a house have kids retire in florida then die" blueprint like our parents or cutting off the real world in favor of escaping to a virtual, manicured one like our generation does. But those big questions have to be answered for any sort of true contentment to be achieved, so we have to learn to actually sit with ourselves and think, we've become afraid of our own thoughts and it's paramount to each person they overcome that.
