I personally never dated someone, and I'm an introvert, so I'm trying to improve that by talking to other people some random day at a party I talked to a girl and I have been talking to her on Instagram and I think she might be in to me, but I don't like her, so I Have maybe just overdone that, now I don't know what to do because I'm going to meet up with her, but I want to make it clear that I don't like her without being rude, this "success" boosted my morale a lot, The problem is not that I can't pull shit it's that I never tried (sorry for my bad English I'm not native)

I think my strategy will be “work on myself, don't go out looking for women, if I run into a woman I like, I'll try my best to pursue her.” I don't think active searching is worth it or possible for me, so I will just be laid back for at least a good majority of my life. I'd just rather not stress about that in general and try to work on myself. Because I feel looking for dates is a losing game no matter how you spin it, so self-improvement sounds better.

I live in the US, but I'm originally from abroad, and come from a very social and hospitable culture where people will talk to others just randomly. When I came to the US and repeated this behavior, many people would talk with me, but a notable percentage would be very shy and not very good at conversation. In my home country there were introverts and shy people too, but a much smaller percentage, and even they could hold a conversation, they would just rather do something else alone. I feel as if here the culture is much more isolated, and even people who do want to connect with others lack the opportunity, habit, and ability to do so. It's not even about just getting a girlfriend, it's about having reliable social connections with others, people you can trust, talk with, have a good laugh together, etc. A situation where if you were to disappear, everyone would feel your absence. Here it feels as if no one would notice if someone were to disappear. I wonder what the social antidote to this problem will be. Let me know of your guys' thoughts on this, I'm interested in knowing what an American-born thinks.

Socially speaking, the only people that ever go out anymore are those wannabee gangster types, both men and women. The rest of us are just trying our best through school life. And my school also has like 200 kids. We are small and it seems there isn't someone for me in this generation of citizens.

I’m almost 25, and I’ve spent 10 years getting rejected by every single girl I’ve asked out. I found the same approach described in this video a couple years ago, but it hasn’t actually brought me any success.
