- Crystal Lake, Illinois is a comfortable middle-class community located in the outer Chicago suburbs, about 50-miles Northwest of the central city. Founded in 1836, the town's main street is a particularly walkable space for pedestrians and has recently embraced outdoor dining as part of the state's phase 3 reopening plan. The area is known for its excellent outdoor recreation, such swimming and sailing opportunities on the lake, Three Oaks Recreation Area, and Veteran Acres park.

The wife and I are moving to Crystal Lake in 4 weeks, thanks for the walking tour. It was a beautiful day for it and we're looking forward to moving there even more. Thanks again for making this video.

I remember Matt's Tavern, Shorties gas station, Blondie's delicatessen, Richert Chevrolet, Franks Barber/Toy Shop, Don and Lou's clothing, Pops Corn Crib, El Tovar Theater, Jewell food store, Dave's sports store and good times
Honestly, kind of therapeutic 😌. Also as a new resident it's cool to see the updated area rather than Google Maps
