- Woodstock is perhaps best known for playing "Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania" in the classic 1993 film Groundhog Day, starring Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell. Even today, this all-American town holds an annual Groundhog Day festival in early February for film fans young and old. Located 50-miles Northwest of Chicago, the area is popular with day-trippers who enjoy Woodstock's charming brick streets, specialty boutiques, and downtown cinema.

Thank you. Born and raised in woodstock. Haven't been home in 10 years. My dad was a lieutenant on the fire department and rescue squad and my grandpa was a cop for almost 30 years in woodstock. There used to be a restaurant on the corner by the Opera House called Angelo's and now it's a cafe
wow what a memory. Worked at a store in Woodstock back in 1974-1975 CB Enterprises. It wasn't downtown but I used to go there sometimes. Nice memories.
Lived in Woodstock for 15 years. My late wife Lynda had family thought out Woodstock.
Gratitude! the ideia that i had about Woodstock is the Hippie Movement. But now i know Woodstock is a district into thecity Illnois in usa. We have a famous Actress Tamara Taxman in Brazil who was born in Woodstock.

You should make it a point to capture the business/building names and street signs instead of dumpster alleys, misc garages and parked cars. You zoom-in so much on the Blue Lotus, but miss so much more. Makes for a much better historical record to have those things documented. You miss so much of that.
Is it welcoming and diverse?
House shopping I’ve driven through neighborhoods, existing houses seem to not be well cared for or updated in any way. But it looks like a quiet town.
