very cool. Interesting. I did a similar project in the same time as you. I swaped E91 , N54 , St 6262bb speedtech, 6mt twin disk, meth, and all the ''while Im there'', and not that far , I'm on 16k-ish $ cad with the 2 cars (donor and receiver). This include the shit ton of parts sold as part outs. 600bhp, wagon, AWD, 6mt = not bad of a deal. It was a fun project.
Tonyyyyy mannnn this is what I’m talking about 10/10… also noticed u playing around with filming style of videos lately it’s nice don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone love the channel
Thanks!! We're doing what we can and trying new things each day! Hopefully it works out for us and the channel continues to grow, albeit, hopefully quicker!
You did really good brother! My Spool Performance Stage 2 Transmission built to handle 1,000ft lb torque cost $9,500 by itself. That's including a upgraded torque converter & labor. It's for my 21" M340I (ZF8HP51)
I didn’t really love the 1 series but after watching you build it the color the upgrades I am persuaded to think these sort of cars are those that grow one you I am currently rebuilding my 318i e90 to a 335i n54 as I am 75% done with it I pulled the old engine out of my car and I will be slapping twin turbos tdo4 19 t I will upgrade the Intercooler, oil cooler, fuel injectors, low pressure fuel pump , precision works ignition coils
sounds like an amazing build!! you're right, at first I was apprehensive about the 1 series, didn't like the front end, headlights, etc. loved my e90 but regrettably sold it. This was the same color and I wanted to save it from the scrap yard, I had to do it justice. now, I couldn't imagine ever parting with it. these cars are awesome, better yet with a story.
Awesome! You are like me. I love to mod, but I’m always listing my older parts. I’ll even find things around my home that I don’t use anymore, and list those so that I can find my car modding habit. I do have a couple questions though: What about the tuning costs? Do you do the tuning yourself as well?
the tuning is just a free back end flash through MHD using the JB4 and dialing inthe boost. I do it myself but if I go with a proper tune it'll definitely come at a cost.
Sweet! Just goes to show how much your experience, knowledge, and skill are worth. Imagine just paying a shop to do all of this and source all of the parts.
you know, I've heard it said both ways and never really paid attention to which is correct. since the letters are generally all capitalized, I just stuck with saying "OH EN THREE".
i like the sleeper build look for these cars, where it just looks FBO, and everything else looks stock.. although right now mines doen a little nickel and dime-ing with random stuff. mostly tail lights i had to buy after body work, cause pretty sure body guy stole my good bulbs. and a regulator for rear door window. i also need to get a 12x1.5 helicoil thread repair kit for rear knuckle from when i did the M3 upper arm conversion. was able to do initial torque, but anything past it just spins so got a new bolt and now just need a helicoil, ( if helicoil doesn't work, new dorman loaded knuckle for 600 from Oreilly's) then it's back to tracing down this damn oil leak, putting in my polyurethane trans mounts, and maybe a poly large rear rear diff bushing and M3 diff bushings combo, M3 rear sub frame bushings. some down pipes, and then finally, maybe some turbos..
the intention was a very oem-like vehicle with tons of power on tsp. part of me wishes it was a 6MT, the other part is extremely satisfied with the 8hp. may be adding a clutch pedal and sequential style shifter. :)
I couldn't believe it when he said $200 for everything, mind you, I also had no idea if the 8hp45 out of the 4 cylinder would work let alone bolt up. Thankfully it did with minor effort!
granted, it is the M Sport / M Performance suspension and better than the base stuff you get. Brakes have the large Brembo 6 pots front, 4 pot rear with slotted discs. it'll be fine for now, I do plan to lower it on coils eventually and do stainless lines.
@@tony.nextlevelrides Yeah yeah, but the 6 pot from the 135i and 1m are know to have piston issue when expose to too much heat (F30 brake are a good cheap OEM upgrade) And the rear end is know to be pretty soft/siggly. Great vid tho (from a new sub)
Weird, the price of your "cantcu and loom" is the price of just the cantcu unit? 1750 Canadian wouldn't even cover what I paid for my cantcu in the UK lol. Not including the loom that's another £400...?
@@ethandj123456789 I was the same, these guys were the only ones that documented a proper swap on an E9X. Stayed around for the single turbo n54 goodness tho 😂😂

that sounds like an absolute riot! I was debating the same thing since we didn't get the e91 with the N54 here, what a shame!
Those blue coil packs (?) look awesome.
Just wanted to say thanks for making videos on the n54. You've help me build mine along with you.
Glad to hear! We love hearing that our video's are helping others!!

I use the 335d air intake so that it points to the passenger side where the turbo inlet is. 😉
I had one but it didn't fit, the 1 series and 3 series scoops are different unfortunately.
Love the roller shots!
they turned out awesome!
didn't think a 8hp45 can handle that power very nice.
It's been flawless in our e92 swap, so far equally as good on our e82!
@@tony.nextlevelrides thank you, I always wanted to swap my 6hp19 for a 8hp45 on a E60

me either.... maybe.... if it stays together lol
big ups to you and taylor for giving me the motivation to do the 8speed awd swap and to install port injection on my 335i xdrive.😁
heck yes! success!
That's pretty awesome Tony 🔥🔥🔥

I couldn't imagine! it would cost at least double just for labour
Cool budget build.
Interesting how you say O N 3 (Oh En Three). I always thought it was called “On 3” as in when you’re roll racing and “On 3 beeps”.
you know, I've heard it said both ways and never really paid attention to which is correct. since the letters are generally all capitalized, I just stuck with saying "OH EN THREE".
Sweet build, I'm not going this year unfortunately but would be cool to meet up in Kelowna for DAS Weekend since you're a short drive away in Alberta
we're at DAS now and will come again next year!! The car scene is awesome out here, it's making us consider a move to the Okanagan. 🤔

In Germany you have to pay 20,000 for a car like this
Fr, in the UK too!
Same Australia 20+ 8hp and single turbo
That a lot or little ?
Yeah for real
I think all popular bmw models are more expensive in germany then in other countries cause the market is sky rocking in the Moment…
Wheel specs please? Size, width, and offsets.
Thanks in advance.
should be;
Front: 18x8.5" et40 w/ 225/40R18 tire
Rear: 18x9.5" et48 w/ 255/35R18 tire
How is the 8HP45 handling the power? my 6HP21 just started playing up, miss shift 3rd to 4th, so looking for option :)
It's holding up great!!
@tony.nextlevelrides nice, good to know
Super cheap👍🏻 8hp was a bargain price

If so 700hp on the stock rear E82 suspension. Damnnn

Canadian pesos lol love the videos man
Thanks!! Really appreciate it!!
How much torque?
currently, around 450wtq but it's on low boost.
200$ is nuts for the trans
I thought so too! I did buy it before anyone had confirmed the 4 cylinder version would work. I had to confirm it myself!
thats the m sport front bumper right? What lip is that?
not sure! I wasn't ever able to confirm what it was!
