  • Hey everyone,
Today is finally the day we start tearing the S4 apart to upgrade the suspension. The car currently has a monster truck ride height and I think it is time we finally fix this! I picked up a set of 034 adjustable control arms and some BC Racing Coilovers. In conjunction with some new hardware, I think these are going to provide the perfect upgrade for the S4.

Just finished watching the whole S4 series and I noticed this video was missing from the playlist. Anyways it was nice to see how your videos have evolved over time, and you have quickly become one of my favorite channels on youtube:) Keep em coming!

Your whole comment on the meditative , mindfulness doing the work makes alot of sense. That happened to me the other night lol. I was in the zone and it was kinda therapeutic lol.

Your patience is amazing. Gotta love the street style mech videos. Hopefully soon you'll get into a garage. Awesome video. I'm 38 years old and finally understand how suspension works.

Its really funny when car guys say that working on a car is really relaxing, yesterday i was working on my mk4 gti golf, changing front right strut and it took my unbelievably long time, and when i was finished i noticed that upper strut support sticks out more than it should (in comparison to left side) so i had to redo everything again and me being me, i did mistakes, like punching axle without a nit on it(the result was damaged thread). In the end i was so mad that i just wanted to burn this rusted boi. But yeah, its a new day, preppin to go back to garage, to deal with that project of mine...again
PS thats my first project car, so everything is new to me, it was bought specifically for me to learn bout cars, but its taking too long already to atleast drive it.( Car was standing in the garage for a year already and i have never driven it on the road!)
PSS sometimes working on a car is relaxing, but i just haven't gotteb to the stage where i can drive it, which is a big shame

Replacing a 20 year old suspension is always good. I now have new parts on the front axle on my Golf mk 4 and the handling improved dramaticly. Like you described yours as boat, it was exactly the same for me.

I'm glad I'm not alone in having a car that felt like a boat. It's such a weird feeling haha. I love mk4 golf's btw. Sounds like a great car!

the suspension looks great! i can’t wait to see it dropped as well as see you wrap the TT! 🔥

I cant wait for both of those either! Once the s4 suspension is dialed and I can drive it again the wrap will be the next big project on the list! Thank you for the support!

@@dustysteele5408 I think the BC coils are about $1200 normally... but I got them a long time ago during a really good holiday sale and have been waiting for the other parts to get here this whole time. I usually try to time the big purchases like this around the good sales.

How far can the suspension drop the car down?
