      Hi Pan, I had a quick question, I just got a 2023 Mercedes SL which came with Nappa Leather. seats and dashboard. I want to protect the leather throughout the interior of the car so I don't end up with a cracked dashboard or seats. Which product would you recommend that can be used to protect the Nappa leather and not damage it and keep the leather looking new, like from the factory? Any recommendation would be appreciated. FYI, I've referred to using Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner, would you agree and recommend these products or would you have a better option you'd recommend? thanks.

    Great video! Clearly demonstrates that investing in a few key items, such as drying towels, wheel and barrel brush, etc., can really save you time and money in the long run. I think the same holds true for other products as well. For someone only occasionally cleaning their vehicle, these budget products are better than nothing. Anyone watching here, I believe has evolved to higher quality products, and appreciates the difference.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 місяців тому +9

      For sure, just the fact one would go out and detail their car already surpasses the majority of the population that neglects their vehicle. So while the products can sometimes be super important, it’s the methods and techniques that are even more important.
      Give a good detailer average products and he’ll still do a good job.
      But of course when you detail vehicles regularly, then it makes sense to invest in higher quality chemicals and tools if they can increase your efficiency and results and make the user experience better.

      I like this channel, and I’ve always used budget products. I have my favorites, and they work for me. I’ve come back to Turtle Wax after many years of trashing their products. Their new lineup is very good. Meguiars is hit or miss, but they do have some great stuff as well.

    I have been using some of those products for years until I started watching your channel and you introduced me to brands like Adam's, CarPro, P&S, and Chemical Guys. The difference for me between those and enthusiast/professional products is night and day. Less swirls, more gloss, easier to use, and time-saving! Thanks!😀

    I used to use Koch Chemie, Carpro and Adam’s car wash soap and bug removers. But I always go back to meguiar’s gold class soap and turtle wax bug and tar remover. In my conditions, I feel that turtle wax bug and tar remover has the best performance without compromising my coating. I also feel that Meguiars gold class soap has a lot more lubrication compared to carpro reset, Koch chemie GSF and Adam’s soap. They’re also very cheap and easily available, so I can use higher dilution. But on all other products such as pressure washer equipment, polishers and polishing compounds, I use the highest end stuff from obsessed garage. I only use consumer grade products for bug tar remover and car wash shampoo

    I love Sprayway Glass Cleaner because it is ammonia-free, cleans really well (no streaks), and is widely available. In cooler climates, this might not matter, but where I live (in the desert), most glass cleaners dry almost instantly. For instance, the rag will touch the glass, and it is already dry at the point of contact because of how hot the glass is. This doesnt happen with sprayway so it has become my go to glass cleaner.

    Great video Pan. Thank you for having Miranda Detailing on. I would like to see more videos like this. I think we get caught up in the marketing of "pro" products that aren't necessarily that beneficial. This is just my 2 cents.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback! I have tons of videos on affordable products and tools and will make more in the future for sure.
      Technique is the most important, but for someone who details often, sometimes having those higher quality products and tools can allow you to be more efficient and/or deliver better results all while getting a better user experience.
      But for sure you can still find some gems at a lower budget.

    • @JhawkerZ
      @JhawkerZ 5 місяців тому +1

      For sure technique is everything. You can spend a fortune and still not get the job done. I was really thinking about how the market is so saturated that it is hard to find what really works. That's why you are so important for the detailing community. I've learned so much and have mad respect for you. Thank you for doing what you do.

I can't imagine anything having any more lubrication than that but I've only tried two. Perhaps try comparing this to one of the professional ones you use. Most importantly, we all have to start somewhere! I would recommend everyone to get the basics first and then progress later simply to be able to put your money where your mouth is. The stuff I was using 20 years ago in my mind were the best of the best but nowadays I was very wrong. Of course technology has improved since but the experience along the way will solidify why more professional products are not only economical but very useful. If you want to ditch big box store products, I'd highly suggest jumping into the P&S product line! You won't be disappointed.

    Hi Pan. Thanks for all you do as, judging by the comments, we all learn a lot from you.
    Id personally like to see an all-in-one video on removing different LSP's. From bsd, waxes, sealants, TW ceramic spray (an example, because i have it), to the newish ceramic-lites (carpro cquartz lite and in uk Infinity Wax Synergy lite, which id like to have a go at but have concerns removing the stuff) to full blown ceramics 1yr, 2yr, 9yr. How do we strip the lsp so we can start over?
    Do we have to dispose of stripping cloths and pads, after use, with ceramics or ceramic lites.
    Thanks in advance

    Found 1 spot I had missed during paint correction the size of a toothpick where a stain was not removed from the front bumper. It was sealed under the Cericote. Was able to remove the stain after removing the coating that had sealed over it. I can tell you the Cericote had bonded over it with an extreme hardness due to proper curing. Once I removed the coating the stain was easily removed.

    I feel like professional detailers should lean more towards rinseless… but also regular ppl, its so easy/fast/efficient..can cut down on # of total products and equipment… i think most of the general public would be more apt to wash their car if they tried rinseless and figured out they can wash their car every couple of weeks in 15-20 minutes, not cause damage, and have some protection.

    Looks like the average guy can go to a big box store and start his Detailing business. The fact is most consumers or end users won’t know the difference in product used anyway. Once you start explaining to them, it’s like a deer with the headlights on.
    Me personally, I love the Pro product. And being in that one percent club to find out what is the absolute best!

    Pan & Phil, terrific vid for the budget conscious and quick driveway detailing. I suspect that much of detailing purchasing is done on a run to the brick & mortar on a Saturday morning. Some of the products are meh...and some are really good. Speaking of which; the TW Wax & Dry is stupid good for $6-7 USD. Oooof...that tire wheel brush Phil used - ok on the tires but it scared me watching him use it on his nice wheels! Yikes! Lol...

    Enjoyed this one Pan. Very interesting and for the weekend warriors who wash there cars regularly the publicly available products are ok because most of us not trying to make them look like pros like you do. The Spray 9 was interesting I have not used it before but am thinking of trying it. Have you covered this product before? If you have I probably missed it. If not maybe you can do a vid on as it can be used on many applications including the interior if diluted properly of course. Would also like to know how much impact to the the protection it does etc. Thanks!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  5 місяців тому

      I haven’t done a video on Spray 9. But Phil mainly uses it as part of the pre-wash before a full detail and ceramic coating job if memory serves me well. Not for regular weekly washes as that could potentially degrade the protection over multiple regular uses.

    Hey Pan! I purchased a new car this week and I’m looking for a protectant that will keep the paint from fading and clear coat mostly in-tact 10 years from now. This is especially important because my car is stored outside in the elements. My main and only concern is UV and chemical protection. Are there any consumer coatings you recommend? I don’t have any experience with decontamination or clay bar stuff, but I’ve seen 50+ different types of spray-on coatings online and in stores, and I’m wondering if any of these modern ones are actually worth giving a shot. I’m okay with re-applying once every month or so if it can be done in under an hour after a maintenance wash.

    Funny thing there is an old guy out there who bought an F150 new in 1984, parks it under a carport and cleans it every 2 weeks w/Turtle Wax & Armor All products. As well as changes his oil every 3k miles & uses a Fram or STP filter (whichever is on sale or in stock at the time). 😂 It’s probably 90% consistency and 10% the product.
    That being said, I’m always watching Pan’s videos and probably using the higher grade consumer stuff.
