I found out the hard way that glaze is glaze, wax is wax. If you are able to correct a car the right way, you don't need very much glaze. It is like make up foundation, covers small imperfections. And I highly doubt that you can tell the difference between one wax and designer wax. While Adams products are good, they are a little expensive. Meguiar's is owned by 3M.
couldn't agree more on Chemical guys. There's so many products they have for the same goal that it gets confusing, so I avoid them altogether. Keep it simple. Great video, subscribed.
Love the videos brother! Yesterday was my first opportunity to use your recommended setup with the Ryobi 1600 psi, quick connects, uberflex hose, MJJC foam cannon and Mckillans gun with swivel that were purchased thru your UA-cam links! Man everything was beyond my expectations! Foam cannon created insanely amount of foam, pretty much too much lol. I’m sure I’ll purchase more things from this video to keep my black 21 Tundra TRD PRO looking it’s best with your suggested products! Thanks again!!
Videos like this are so important to me. Thank you so much. I started off buying chemical guys stuff to only find out just how much stuff they had that was the same.
Man you are a big help. I’m going to be retiring next year at relatively a young age(55) and have just started my own detailing business part time for right now. Planning on bringing my kids into the business. Thanks for all the videos and advice. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for clarifying and simplifying. Josh, I know a lot of folks like me have learned a lot. Thank you for helping all of us. You are doing more good than you may know. You are appreciated! 😃
Thanks bud. Might be able to drill it down even more by getting rid of the wax and just sticking with the TECH582. Curious if you intentionally left out tar and iron removers
Keep it simple, there are way to many products to consider, and it all adds up to 💰 Just the basics as you have work great! Although, we are all suckers for the newest and "best" products layed
Your videos are so great man. A thing that you have never mentioned, as far as I can recall, is which kind of bottles do you use to put the chemicals in. Because I know that you can't just dump them in any bottle with any trigger system. Specially the more acidic ones. Would you mind giving me a brief answer on that? Appreciate it my man. And keep on with the good informative videos. Thank you Sir!
Josh extremely good video for both the professional and weekend warrior. I am having a lot of success with the Jay Leno Leather cleaner & conditioners which is economical. Also, I followed your advice on streak free windows win outstanding success. This will save me some cash on using a chemical on my window. Thanks for the advice, keep up the good work
That tire shine sounds a lot like Superior Products Aqua Gloss I love it I do tha same as u do when I apply it but I use a small hvlp paint gun from harbor freight it’s faster and I save product that way aqua gloss is also water based
I'm new to detailing. My only products I've use so far is P&S Xpress Interior Cleaner and Koch Chemie for plastic floor liners. Those are my staples for those 2 tasks
man i just want to say thank you! i've recently started the chemical rabbit hole.. this super simplifies it so much, especially for a beginner like myself!
Great video Josh... simple straight forward it's what works better for you and a lot of people need to know that it's what works best not what others people has.....I'm one of the simplest detailer.....but I have it all 🤦🏾♂️ but simple keep it up Josh 💯
Mason and you detailed my rav4. I showed my friend and he is very interested so hopefully I can spread the word and send more people your way. You are such a amazing person and I hope you find the perfect smoker for you ! Take care 🙂.
Awesome stuff. I also just use water for my windows. Sopping wet rag in combination with a dry micro towel. Sometimes i will add a little hint of iso alcohol on those super dirty windows.
Great josh thanks it does seem to make things easier I’m just a diyer my shelf In my garage looks like a retail store shelf having so much different stuff lol 😆
Excellent stuff! Keeping it simple 👍. There are so many products and companies out there it's easy to get confused and end up with a ton of products that never get used.
Great video. I too have been simplifying the products that I use. My one step Is Blackfire one step. I like it better than 3D speed and it dosn’t stain my pads. Meguires Hyper dressing replaced all my interior dressings, tire dressings and engine bay dressings with different dilutions. P&S wheel and tire cleaner, and Invisable glass just about does it for me. I love your videos. Keep up the good work
Do you dilute hyper dressing? And does it have a greasy/shiny finish? Im using chemical guys sill shine for my husbands detailing business but it leaves the interior a bit too shiny
Hey Michael - try 3D One, you will never use anything else. I started using One 12 years ago when it was called "Uno Polish". When it ran out I could no longer find Uno - so I ordered blackfire and speed as I assumed one of them was Uno's replacement but they definitely were not. Contacting 3D asking for whatever replaced "Uno" and they sent me "One" and it is 100% the new name for Uno Polish.
@Kelden Dance I use their 3D 5.5” gray polishing pad. Afterwards I maintain by washing with a boars hair brush on an extendable handle and griots 3 in 1 spray wax (green spray bottle) spray it on the drying towel and it waxes as you dry off.
Love your channel man! I am just a backyard detailed of my 4 cars I own. Nothing expensive but do want them to look great. Your channel is great for me as well as the start up mobile company people as well. Keep the content coming for both of us! One suggestion is I would like a quick video of what you think and what could be the appropriate uses of the California car duster. Also, how to safely clean a car that just has a light dust on it. Thanks!!
I wanted to keep things simple product wise, so I bought some 1 Gallon containers from Meguiars and P&S. I’ll dilute some in a 32oz bottle and use them. Figured that would be cheaper in the long run than going to Walmart constantly. I’m using Hyperwash, Xpress spray wax, wheel and tire cleaner from Meguiar’s line. And P&S Interior cleaner.
I bought a new 2023 Corolla Hybrid SE AWD - Calgary, AB, Canada. I want to take care of this fuel miser from day 1 - so I kind of went overboard and bought: - The Rag Company - Standard Waffle Weave Towels, 370gsm, 16in x 16in, Light Blue (3-Pack) $14.00 - The Rag Company - Edgeless 365 Microfiber Towels Wax Removal, Auto Detailing, 365gsm, 16in x 16in, Gold (10-Pack) $29.00 - The Rag Company - Cyclone Ultra Wash Mitts - 70/30 'Gauntlet' Blend Korean Microfiber, Blue + Black (2-Pack)- $24.00 - Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Graphene Inside Job, Interior All Purpose Cleaner and Protectant $15.00 - Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating 16 fl oz $21.00 - Armor All Tire Foam Protectant $11.00 Total: $126.00 + free shipping from Amazon Canada
I need to try and figure out what I need for my car. So far I love the chem guys hydro view glass cleaner and their leather cleaner and conditioner, stuff smells amazing and their hydro slick ceramic hyperwax. I got some suds lab interior cleaner, and some Maguires interior protector. Some of the chem guys wheel coating and exterior trim protection and the wheel cleaner.
my staples right now....Hyper Dressing, Superclean, MG Ultimate compound and polish, Griots Compound, TW Seal and Shine, TW Ice spray wax, Solution finish Trim, MG Leather cleaner/conditioner (smell very good to people)
Hi totally new to detailing thank you for posting all the videos really enjoy them, was wondering if there are any restrictions for kids and pets after using chemicals for interior cleaning? Like a time limit before riding in the vehicle?
I use chemical guys vrp on my tires they look great does not sling use it on my dash interior the best stuff I ever used keeps the dust off of my dash for months stuff is great
Great video. I love how you keep it simple. I'm slowly isolating my products now. You ever have an issue with technicians choice after applying like 15 minutes starts to look spotty or sweating in very humid or direct sunlight?
Can you make a video of how you use those products in a car? Maybe a video of the entire process and application and a video of those products being used in the exterior? That would really help. Thanks
I have a 2020 toyota corolla for some reason this car is a dam magnet for car contamination, i have clayed the car perfectly and then applied a good wax, and the next week it already had small specks of contamination, i live in a big city but no major construction around me
I have my staple as I mentioned...but would consider your stuff if I get going more with doing more vehicles. I don't know about one though.....loving Hyper Dressing, and Seal and Shine (so many videos/Good outcomes) though.
I have a classic car. 1962 Corvair. She needs a paint job because the original paint is cracking and flaking. Until I can afford to get a good paint job done though I’d like to make her look her best. Do you have any tips for detailing classic cars with old fragile lead based paint? Is it even ok to wash it?
Thanks friend for sharing your ideas I'm looking forward to open my car detailing business, I have questions what chemical that you use to tires and rim that they don't hurt the surface thank you
Hey Josh big fan. I'm in Pennsylvania and I'm a diy beginner. I'm try to connect an uberflex 50 ft hose to an adames 2.0 which I bought after watching your review. I ordered som quick connects and after connecting the hose no leaks but at pw would not shut off. Is it possible I put on the wrong size quick connect I believe they were 3/8 ,not sure any help would be appreciated
What’s the best brand that’s simple that I can get ALL of my products from. Price isn’t a issue. I want to be organized and Simple I don’t want to have 6 different brands. Im just getting started detailing but experienced. Meaning I’m just now detailing outside of personal car and family. I generally only ever used meguiars.

Thanks for the video!!! Was wondering if you have ever tried the Walfgang Uber Si02? I don’t see a whole lot of people talking about it, just very few, I bought it and love to use it as drying aid, even on our household appliances, amazing protection. Would like to know what you think about it as a Professional? Would be nice to see a video about it…thanks!!!
Another great video, I love Tec580! By the way, walking through my Illinois Costco after a foot of snow and they have put out a new Turtle Wax, Wash and Wax Soap. I think 144 oz for 14.99. They always carried Meguiars before. Maybe available near you for a warm weather test???? Thanks for all the content.
What do you do with your towels you use your sio2 spray with? Do you soak them in cleaner to prevent any crystalline structures from forms on the towel? Or is the solution diluted enough where it won’t do that?
Thanks man.. I've been getting all set up for my mobile detail business starting this spring. Your videos have helped a lot. I was impulse buying/dizzy looking things up.
I feel you bro lol I bought soooo many different chemicals at the beginning. I'm still finishing some of it off as I go just to get rid of it and free up space. Thanks for clarifying and simplifying. Josh, I know a lot of folks like me have learned a lot. Thank you for helping all of us.

Thanks dude. Love all the 3D stuff.
Do you have a video on what towels you recommend for washing/drying/buffing etc?
Awesome video as always. Thinks you’ll have a How to dilute chemicals video?
What are the spray bottles and sprayers you use? Do the bottles happen to have dilution markings on them?
Great info
Thanks mike

Great video. What are you using to clean mats? I have a hard time getting them to look like new again.
I worked at a 5 star resort at a ski area in Colorado. We used hot water for our mirrors and glass showers. No streaks with proper technique

Hello friends..thanks for the information..i like your video so much...keep up the good work...im a fans from malaysia
Thanks so much! Hope all is well in malaysia
Can you use bead maker from p&s for the interior protection like you use here tech choice ceramic spray ?🤔
Now I need to look on a video on how to use them.
Simple and effective!!
Thanks for the video!!! Was wondering if you have ever tried the Walfgang Uber Si02? Thanks for the great content 👍 👌
Josh. Since this video had posted I’m curious if you’ve changed any of the products lines you have listed here.
Hey! I purchased a few of the products you recommended. How much do you dilute these products? 2:1?
Simple is good!
Thanks man.. I've been getting all set up for my mobile detail business starting this spring. Your videos have helped a lot. I was impulse buying/dizzy looking things up.
Awesome! Yea keep it simple
Supreme Detail I feel ya man I’ve bought tons of stuff bc I’m like oh that looks good 😂
@@ryleedenney7872 lol hey at least we're taking it serious! Good luck with your business bud
@@supremedetail6736 you too man
I feel you bro lol I bought soooo many different chemicals at the beginning. I'm still finishing some of it off as I go just to get rid of it and free up space. Now I have my staples and waaay less products I bring around daily. Makes life easier and also easier to budget when you know exactly what you need and how often you use it.
Thanks Josh! Would you change up anything if you were working on a car wrapped in XPel Stealth?
Should I just stick with one brand or should I diversify. I have a hard with this sometimes
What about those spray nozzles? Where those from/at?
I’m sure if I was not so lazy, the answer to my question probably exists in the numerous comments below. However, I’d like to ask. Do you only use water and your proper technique to clean the inside glass of a smoker’s auto..?
When i was a kid back when the dinosaur roamed the earth my dad used ArmorAll. They had 1 kind and that stuff was so good that you literally couldn’t hold onto the steering wheel. Your foot would slide off of his gas & brake petals.
Now, ArmorAll doesnt leave a shine whatsoever. MOTHERS is another brand that has always been a excellent product. Nowadays, it leaves a dull sticky finish. Im trying to find something comparable ti the old version of AA
You’re the man
Can you do a review on your tire shine please on how it compares to like carpro perl
Im a interior detailer new to the business I use Chemical Guys nonsense interior cleaner and after im done cleaning with that I go around all the cleaned areas with with the Meguiars interior protectant do you a have a suggestion for upgrading or something that I can buy in bulk and works just as good?
When you going to talk about the 3D GLD?
So I thought the Adams mega foam is just a foam. Not a soap. The Adams standard blue shampoo and ultra foam shampoo work great.
Yeah. It’s just a foam. And it doesn’t have good cleaning power either. It’s just creates thick thick foam. I rather just use their car shampoo, less foamy, more cleaning power, and good on a bucket.
I'm be working on a 1985 trans am the paint isn't perfect has minor rust spots but I want to give it a good clean/detailing. What exact products would you suggest?
Since you use the ceramic detail spray so much, why not use something like a Ryobi Electrostatic Sprayer to give you speed in spraying on the car?
What is the polishing paste? From the right 3d speed, you didn't say its name
Do you need an acidic shampoo if you’re offering wash and wax packages?
Chemical Guys have made me dizzy. Too many products as you said. Use their tire and rim gel but man too many products. Cheapens the brand.
Is household APC then same and car APC?
Have you found a bottle holder for the IK sprayers?
What to use when car has been ceramic coating ?
Do you have shop in which you can purchase products, showroom. ? I live in riverside county but travel for work to San Diego a few days a week.
What license and insurance do you need. Want to start my business out here in California
