About the aoe part hitting the whole party: the positioning mechanic is more for show, since you can play old style all next to each other aswell, and the fights will be the same, nevermind which you choose Another thing: you really wanna use Erik for challenges like these, since his dps can be extremly high, he can even 2 turn most bosses
My initial statement was correct. Ya beat phase one of a three phase game mate. Props to ya on the uber low level completion of P1. I'm curious how you would fare in the rest of the game because it ramps up a lot. You definitely wouldn't be running Serena with her default wand that's for sure lol.
Ok so this is interesting. Someone actually did a somewhat similar challenge using ALL the Draconian Quests, and the hero not able to act at ALL on ua-cam.com/video/4_FZ-RSi7IU/v-deo.html and got walled at Octagonia either during the Arena fights or the Spider IIRC. But I assume with your less....er....draconian rules you managed to get further (or beat it....I only watched the first few minutes so far). Interesting thing about the Holy Water is that you don't need it, there's actually a few ways to proceed that don't require buying anything Also interesting thing about money is that it DOES still have two uses -- Sylvando has a Gil-toss like ability to damage things with money. It's actually really good and is used regularly in speedruns. More importantly though is you can spend gil to respec you ability points, which as far as I know isn't locked in any Draconian option. I guess based on your comments in the community tab you're not continuing with the FFVIIr uploads (and admittedly, it's a big time commitment from the viewer so I see why viewership got low), but will you at least make a compilation video of highlights of the rest of the run, or did you just not do it at all?
Now that I have experienced what this game has to offer, I wouldn't be object to adding on more draconian quests; but I would not be looking forward to it with how long this game is lol.
This is easily my favorite DQ game, though i admit i haven't played all of them. I definitely liked this better than 8. My only complaint about the series is that they all use the same music over and over again. I would love to see, or hear rather, them change the music up.
@@azuremistkingdom That's fair but it's not postgame until you hit act three. It's one of the keystones of Dragon Quest in general. Act One of the game has you confront the apparent threat with Act Two confronting the *actual* threat and then a potential Act Three which is considered postgame where you can fight the universal threat of that particular setting.
The true ending for this game is in the post game. This is one of the rare games that the main story actually continues for the post game. But the final boss is insanely tough.
This will work, reminded me of rpg challenge runs in some regards. But I think he added no items to his, and his failed because he was forced to attack during the tournament.
so with the Holy water thing at the start; there is actually another way to get where you need to go without it. i got stuck there for a while with the no shop quest active, and found out there is a second path.

Love this game lol. I never use the auto battle but its probably my favorite jrpg, so cozy and fun.
at the end game, you could usse stuff that buff sagesse/intel for the hereo heal more ^^

after FF12 and DQ8, DQ11 is my 3rd prefered RPG ^^

The biggest mistake you made in this run was not using Erik he’s by far the best character in the game
