@@Valborn_ Hey thank you for checking in! So, i tried a few times yesterday as well and after getting the MP restores at the casino I'm fairing a bit better, but i still die too much and too often. That's the main issue for me, not really the damage. I can deal 3300+ damage with veronica's channel anger + magic burst, but at some point it turns into who can kazing who and i end up spending my turns reviving characters instead of buffing. Upped most of my armor to +2 and +3, as well as my weapons. I've never been good at games metas and that's biting me hard right now hahaha
Any draconian set up on?? I hated when they attacked my hero and the battle automatically ended. But at the end I manage to beat him under 50 moves with stronger monsters and batlle ends if protagonist dies.
Hey there! 111 is a good attempt there for a first try! No doubt this super boss is really tough! I also underestimated him on my first attempt and he wipe the floor with my party members. Anyway, I can give you some tips since you asked: Pep everyone up before the battle to boost their stats at the beginning. And equip some pep pops and healing items to your party, those may come useful. Your line up matters too, the first 2 party members tend to get the most hit. And Timewyrm usually chews up the 1st person too, so you'd want to put someone with more defence and HP as the first (e.g Hero or Eight) and the more vulnerable team member at the 3rd or 4th. Try using yggdrasil's blessing at the start of the battle which allows your party to be immune to damage for 3 rounds (exactly what I did in the video). I find Erik to be the best damage dealer for most endgame bosses, he’s a powerhouse if you equip and set him up well. He’s the one who does the most deadly damage in this fight. Using the mighty magic burst pep power with Serena and Veronica is another good strategy to take down Timewyrm fast, but this requires alot of pep pops and elfin elixirs, and Veronica is abit too squishy for this battle (she can't survive 1-2 hit) and you may end up having to spend more turns to revive her. Another important accessory you may want to equip everyone with is the Catholicon Ring, a +3 will allow 50% protection against status ailments. The ring can be stacked, if you give 2x +3 rings to a party member and it will give him/her 100% protection from almost all status aliments. You should give it a try again! And just reload the game if timewyrm mess up your set up on the first round. All the best!

If Veronica was there 4:30, then it was her turn to use oomphle on Erik that was better than spending a turn for Rab to deal some damage. Perhaps it will help take less actions in my opinion. Or maybe you wanted to use magic burst after you swapped both Veronica and Serena but sadly they were killed instantly. XD hahahaha
@@gamingforlife7232 Yes u are right, I wanted to swap Veronica and Serena to do mighty magic burst but they got killed instantly 😂
Did you use seeds to do this?
Yes mainly for Erik. You can see my character stats here: ua-cam.com/video/Kd7kPJGdhT4/v-deo.html
The strats still work without much seeds, just that you take more rounds and of cos abit of RNG.
God damn im so unlucky killed the tail but that bastard main somehow did 6-7 turns after every 1 move i did and killed me ....
Yeah sometimes he hits way too much. Don't be afraid to use kerplunk when needed!
@@Valborn_ i did it ... took me 68 turns i think. I used kerplink all the time but i was so unlucky with that wave move that he took away may pep immediately after i used it. I combined 2 tactics urs and from a guy that took 11 turns to beat him. After they appear both i brought in Veronica and serena used pep power magic burst. Activated pep power ygdrasil ( dk how he is written) popped another pep pop used 2 100% mana for serena and Veronica and used pep power magic burst again and he was down 😅
Interesting, but I'm doing it on Draconian. On the first turn, he wiped 3 characters. It Rez-roulette.
Uh no, Draconian mode is super tough, I'd like to try it one day, but that'd means I've to restart from the beginning ;(
@@Valborn_ Wish you luck XD!
I can't do this. This boss makes me so mad!
It can get frustrating cos of the rng. Give it a try again when you are ready again, all the best!
@@Valborn_ I got close last time I fought it. Then it got 3 attacks and wiped my last party member lol
@@zatchbell3695 I just beat it - 72 moves but I beat it. What helped me finish the battle was using Veronica's Magic Burst over and over again. I finished with Sylvando, Veronica, and Jade - everyone else died. Sylv kept feeding Veronica Elfin Elixirs and for the Magic Burst, and Jade was using the crit lighting ability. I did have Serena/Rab alive for most of the last phase keeping health up as much as possible. As Valborn said, keep trying because the RNG of the dang fight is bound to fall in your favor eventually. I should add that having Pep Pops is helpful, but you may not need a lot. I only was able to use 2 throughout the fight. Good luck!
@@louiswilson615 I'll keep trying! It's just very annoying when you can't attack for 3 straight rounds lol
@@zatchbell3695 Yeah ikr! That's why Yggdrasil blessing is useful for this battle, it basically makes your party immune to all attacks and let's you make good use of the 3 rounds to deal damage on Timewyrm and buff up your team.
I can’t believe you use Rab, he’s a great character but not in battle
I wish there was a better way to beat this boss rather than being forced to cheese it by spamming Ydrassil's blessing all the time and spending hours farming seeds
I beat it without cheesing Yggdrasil Blessing ….. and when I did try it…. I failed…. When I did beat TimeWyrm…. It took me over 200 actions. And that’s with no farming Fiora stat seeds.
@@thesuperjag What strategy were you using? I've tried using debuffs on it to weaken it as much as possible to stay alive but the thing acts way too much and wipes out my party in no time. I have to heal to often
Great strategy, I just hate how much RNG is involved
Hey, thanks! And yeah, the RNG can be abit unfair at times, but it's still a fun game :)
@@Valborn_ agreed, thanks for making this it did help
@@megasimp5137 Aw, you're most welcome. All the best for your Timewyrm battle too! 😊
@@Valborn_ What does RNG stand for in this case?
@@Magician-e2c It stands for 'Random Number Generator', basically means your chance of randomly landing moves such as a critical hit, status aliments or item drop.
This achievement is for a reward right? Don’t you get a costume of some sort for one of the characters or something if you manage to beat this boss in 28 actions? I never did the stuff in Tickinton or whatever it’s called and all that. I kinda hate the 2d look your forced to do when doing things in that area which is why I stopped. I play Dragon Quest for how gorgeous the game looks and you definitely can’t see that with the old school 2d look lol and not only that but the music is horrible.
Yes you'd get a costume once you defeated Timewyrm. This was actually my 3rd attempt so I've already gotten it previously. Personally, I felt Tickinton quest is more a fan service? If you played the old games, you'd feel nostalgia for it, if not it'd be kinda a dread to do them. There are guides out there in the internet which you can follow through. It's a satisfying feeling to finish all this if you're up for some challenge :)
I can't beat him, damn it. My platinum trophy. 😭
Hi there! Do you have the best gears for your party already? If yes, give it a try again, sometimes RNG can be a pain 😅 All the best!!
@@Valborn_
Yeah, the best gear for everyone (armor, weapon ecc). Guess i have to farming special seed for increase stats much more. 👀
@@capo98760 I can't do this nor the black cup horse race lol~
Bro I did this fight a few days ago and won on my first ever try but it took 132 moves 😂😭
At least you managed to take him down 😊 My very first fight I underestimated him and he wiped the floor with my party xD Nonetheless, 132 is a good attempt!! All the best if you are trying again 😊
I beat this today with 61 actions
That's awesome!! Good attempt there!
@@Valborn_ where i can found your sylvando and erik outfit? I miss only this 2😭
@@vinceslao2010 Sylvando's outfit can be obtained from the butler in Don Rodrigos room after you completed the quest in defeating the 2 golden giants in Act 3. As for Erik's outfit, you can find it on Insula Centralis. It's on an small island on its own, you'd require a flying mount to reach it.
