I love Nixon and if you noticed on the Kay Adams interview who was hanging out at Nixons house? Yes the one and only Josh Jacobs hmm looks like a couple of team players?

@@DB-jw7ep so what? Are you saying we shouldn’t resign one of our best players because he’s had some back soreness? Makes sense why it’s sore, he’s literally put the entire defensive line on his back the last 5 years. Kenny has been as durable as they come the past few seasons and is only 28… I’d bet big money as long as he doesn’t suffer a major injury or setback in production this season he gets a 3-4 year extension

@@kreed4480 @kreed4480 No, jump off your jump-to-conclusions mat. It's a major concern, especially for a large man who spends his time getting his spinal column slammed around 700 plays a year. It's caused him to miss a number of games and affected his play for significantly more. There is no bigger Kenny Clark fan than I. Period. end of story. However, that injury, his age, and is position will weigh significantly on Gute and Ball's minds when deciding whether to offer him another tope-end contract (which is what he will command).

Tom's shtick on his blog is a little too manic and high pitched for me, but that might partly be a function of my age as I'm 62. However, I did get a big kick out of watching his reaction to the trade up for Watson and have rewatched it several times. But I agree that he is a Grade A human being, and I'm so happy for all of the well-deserved recognition he has received for his fund-raising efforts.

A lot of people were singing the praises of Pratt entering the draft. Perhaps he could become that rare excellent backup so that if Love gets hurt, you could stay in contention until he returns.

As the Green Bay Packers wrap up their organized team activities, their sights are now set on the mandatory minicamp scheduled from June 11 to 13. This event serves as crucial junction before training camp kicks off on July 22nd, with our head coach Matt Lafluer likely to switch up the final day’s routine for a team-building exercise, mirroring last year’s paintball outing. The minicamp is not only essential for team cohesion but also marks the last chance for the entire roster to engage in collective improvements before the more competitive training camp period begins. It’s during this phase that significant positional battles take shape, compelling players to leave lasting impressions. Among those aiming to make their marks is Sean Rhyan, who finds himself in a tight race for the starting right guard position. Following Jon Runyan’s exit, Sean Rhyan is in competition with others, including Jordan Morgan, for the coveted spot. Sean Rhyan, entering his 3rd year, exhibited potential last season but now must solidify his place as a starter amidst stiff competition. Anders Carlson is another player with much to prove. After an inconsistent debut 2023-24 NFL season, Anders Carlson is in the thrones of a kicking contest with veteran Greg Joseph and newcomer Jack Podlesny. Throughout the QTA’s, Anders Carlson emerged as a frontrunner, demonstrating improvement and resilience under pressure, a trait highlighted by Matt Lafluer’s unique distraction tactics during practice. The backup quarterback role is also undecided, with Sean Clifford and recent addition Michael Pratt vying for the position behind Jordan Love. Sean Clifford, boasting a year’s experience in Matt Lafluer’s offensive scheme, is pitted against Michael Pratt, who has quickly adapted since the QTA’s began, setting the stage for an intriguing battle. Wide receiver Grant Dubose is yet another Packer under the spotlight. Amidst a crowded and talented receiving corps, Grant Dubose seems to secure his place on this team following an injury-marred rookie season. With the competition heating up for the last few roster spots, a strong showing at minicamp could elevate Grant Dubose’s chances of making the final 53-man roster. As the Green Bay Packers head into this critical phase of the preseason, the pressure is on these players to step up their game, making this year’s mandatory minicamp a defining moment for their careers and the team’s future NFL prospects. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

Big day for Zayne Anderson showing he's more than JUST a special teams guy. Zayne and Robert Rochell are two defensive backs that are going to make roster cut decisions very difficult and Gute will need to weigh value on special teams with likelihood of "sneaking" them onto the practice squad.
Not only are both core special teams players but unlike last year they both have the offseason with the team to show off their potential and impressive athleticism on defense. Don't sleep on Rochell. He's a small school former 4th round "project" draft pick now entering his 4th season and could be a good fit for what Hafley wants with his long arms, size (6' 193 lbs), 4.41 speed and explosiveness (43" VJ). Zayne Anderson's athleticism stands out too. He's 6'2" with 4.43 speed but a "failed" shoulder surgery in college may have caused him to go undrafted.
The Packers initial 53 man roster has averaged 4.6 safeties and 5.6 corners over the past 5 seasons although practice squad call ups allow for some flexibility in 53 man roster construction . Zayne Anderson is likely safety 6 behind X, Bullard, AJJ, Evan Williams, and Kitan Oladapo. Rochell faces a similar battle with Jaire, Nixon, Stokes, Valentine and Ballentine clearly ahead of him while rookie draft pick Kalen King should provide stiff competition.

We’ll see how smart Love is. The best way to make the most money is by offering your services at the best rate for the team as possible. The better you are, having better weapons, the better the team is the more money he’ll make through all sorts of sponsorship deals. You get these by being the best. Yes you’ll make money if you’re good but you’ll make the most being great. This compounds when the leader of the team is being a team player and others are more likely to follow. Ask Tom Brady how it works.
