Jordan Morgan has played like 3 positions and is playing against the ones. Not worried.

Our General Manager Brian Gutekunst is making a habit of finding immediate contributors in the NFL draft. Brian Gutekunst struck gold last season, with Jayden Reed, Luke Musgrave, Tucker Kraft, Dontayvion Wicks, Karl Brooks, and Carrington Valentine playing starting roles in their rookie seasons. The Packers hope for similar success again this year. Marshawn Lloyd has a chance to land a significant role early on. Marshawn Lloyd adds something different to Matt Lafluer’s offense than Josh Jacobs and AJ Dillion though. His speed and home-run ability should get him on the field regularly, and not just as a change-of-pace running back. Marshawn Lloyd can quickly become the #2 running back in this offense behind Josh Jacobs, which will lead to a significant share of the carries. The rookie running back is off to an impressive start at minicamp. The Packers are wrapping up their final minicamp practices before heading off for the summer. Marshawn Lloyd is ending the offseason program on a positive note, giving the Packers a glimpse of impact he can make in his rookie season. Everything is in place for Marshawn Lloyd to immediately become a huge part of the Green Bay Packers offense. He gets to run behind a talented offensive line. Josh Jacobs will take the majority of the carries and can wear defenses down. On top of that, opponents have to worry about Jordan Love, Christian Watson, and all of the other Packers receiving options, which should lead to higher boxes. With Josh Jacobs and AJ Dillion able to tire defenses, Marshawn Lloyd’s speed and ability in the open field will lead to big plays. And he is making a good early impression on the practice field. Like I said when Morgan was drafted see you in 2-3 years when he’s ready just like damn near every 1st round pick the packers have taken in the last 5-6 years
@@brianw3656 not bashing the guy quite literally the packers draft projects in Round 1. Gary took 2 year, Quay and Wyatt 3 years hopefully, stokes got injured but still hasn’t been anything special, Lvn a project. Not bashing the guy just calling out a pattern
@@matthewpulizos3444 10-4. I hear vet offensive linemen say how difficult it is to switch sides. They have a rookie bouncing all around the line. That's tough.
@@brianw3656 yeah that’s why I think it will take him a year or 2 to figure it out, just switching to RT from LT is tough let alone learning to play guard at an NFL level, something he never played in college I believe.

Pratt is looking really good at QB. Have to consider the huge contract Daniel Jones was given and it was a big mistake by the Giants. Hopefully Jordan Love knows the more he wants the less young WRs they will be able to pay incoming years to stay on the team.
IMO, M. Pratt makes it possible for the Packers to wait on J. Love, to see what Love does in 2024. 13 wins should give Love his contract.
Ultra fiscally conservative Packer fans are going to lose it when Love gets his deal.
Edgerrin Cooper💪💪💪 I was sweating bullets when we traded down from 41 to 45 in the draft. I would have 🤮if someone would have picked him after that trade down. Love the stories im hearing so far from these early practices💪
That is a great point about the Mayfield/Evans-Jordan Love comparison Andy. That is an example of what I will use for the dummies ive seen that say we will never be able to compete long term because of this deal. Ive seen people say we should trade him and go with a rookie, kind if like what the Niners are doing. Even though the Niners didnt intend it to be that way initially thats the thinking. Can you imagine taking that risk with the team we have set in place. Makes no sense. And whatever deal Love gets will look like a bargain in 1-2 years with the cap going up every year. It was out of Love's control to sit behing Rodgers and his huge contract. He paid his dues and waited patiently and now its paying off. And we have a stud. What he went through last year treading through adversity and following in Rodger's footseps and all the media pressure. He passed with flying colors and took the youngest team in the NFL to the playoffs and won his first game and would have beat the 49ers if Zach Tom didn't get hurt. Im not scared one bit of a long term deal for JLove💪💪

Good show as always. You mentioned Jacob Monk's transition to center a few times. Wasn't he drafted as a center? He was a center at Duke for 2 years.
You should put a small sign behind you that says, “Filmed in Green Bay” or something like that. Of the many packer guys…you are one of the few…and it would add even more to your very credible work

Go 60 a year for 10 years, the salary cap with blow up in the next few years. Don’t see a player doing it again but it would put us in a beautiful place down the road
I am concerned the young talented Packer Team we have now will again get buried under a few mega contacts and end up another good team but not great team. I realize that Jordan Love needs to get paid but I am concerned we have not seen enough yet for the Trevor Lawrence type contract. I would like to see a shorter contract with some help to the Team. I appreciate Jordan Love's attitude with the young guys last year. It looked to have a major impact on their surge and growth the 2nd half of the season. If that was real and will continue, great.

you have to continue to draft well... remember the team didn't improve when Gute was having medicore to bad drafts...You want to have an abundance of talent. Some dudes can leave..P. Smith will be gone in 1-2 years, Doubs may leave in 2 years...If the packers over the next 2-3 drafts do well, it wont look bad.
Gute has been at worst an average GM among the league in his earlier drafts, with the exception of hitting massive swings on Ja, Gary, and Love. Sure the depth wasn’t there in those drafts but those three players are foundational pieces for this team. His last few drafts he’s been exceptional. Don’t forget Gute acquiring cheap players late in FA and those players becoming Pro Bowl/All Pro caliber players with Campbell, Nixon and Sul, not many GMs are finding that kind of talent. I feel very confident with the Packers future under Gute and Russ Balls control.
As far as the cap situation goes, the cap will only keep increasing season after season. So paying Love now is the cheapest it will ever be, $55M per year is going to look pretty good in about 5 years. Ofc we can’t sign everyone but this idea that the packers will suffer because Love will be making too much money is just hot air.
And as for the question whether love is worth a TLaw type contract, he’s won just as many playoff games as Lawrence. Last season he out performed Lawrence. And more so, he’s just as young as Lawrence. How on earth can anyone say he’s not worth the contract? Sure, he struggled the first 7-8 games last season, not even considering week 1 he balled tf out. But then over the last 10 games, including the playoffs, he was the #1 QB in the league. The best defenses in the league had no answers for 10 towards the end. Pay the man.
@@kreed4480 I get all the points and Jordan Love is going to get a big contract. He seems deserving. Andy put out a short clip on UA-cam claiming it will not keep the Packers from being a Championship Team. Not sure anyone can say that. I can think of only 2 QBs in all my years of watching football that the Team can lean on even if they do not have premium 52 other guys. The 2 were (and are) Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. Farve and Rodgers were not them. Maybe with better attitudes they could have been more. As I said above, I love Jordan Love's work and Team ethic. If he keeps it up he will always be an excellent QB. I have to see though if he is in the League of Brady and Mahomes. The cooling thing about Brady was he never demanded top dollar but was still paid well. It showed when he went to Tampa Bay. Those that say the Packers will still be a Championship Team at the same time don't make a solid argument about how that works. If the Packers draft young top quality guys every year maybe. Will have to see it.

You can think QB salaries are over inflated but Love deserves to get paid more than Baker and Goff
Just because those teams with Baker and Goff screwed up, doesn't mean the Packers should screw up, also.

The Packers need to sign Jordan Love. Hopefully the string of Back to back HOF QB’s continues. There is no turning back. Win while our team is young and on Rookie Contracts. If you are a young team you have the ability to trade for additional Draft Capital down the road. That is the Packer way for continued success.
Also the cadence from college to pro is different...college qb claps his hands the ball is snapped..pro Jordan Love..has a complicated cadence in the shanahan scheme.

You can tell there is nothing to talk about when you rank the rookies based on OTAs and minicamp. Must be the toughest time of the year to be a content creator.
Jordan Love won only 9 games in 2023. Still too early to give him one of the highest paying contracts until he proves himself more. If he gets 13 wins this year, then give it to him. The receivers bailed out Love many times when they had to come back for the ball because Love under thrown the ball.
So we get screwed because the lions and jags are a horrible franchise and overpaid mediocre qbs?great
Can we stop talking about QB "ceilings"? It's so asinine. Can he throw accurately? The ceiling is Tom Brady or Drew Brees. Does he have a big arm? The ceiling is Brett Favre. So tired of people saying a qb has a high ceiling. Trey Lance had a "high ceiling" and Brock Purdy had a "low ceiling" and one of them was the best QB in the league last year.
The nfl salary cap is gonna keep going up..its like healthcare inflation in the early 2000s to now...nfl is king when it comes to revenue.
WHAT IF: Marshawn Lloyd has a good year on offense and/or special teams? Tell Cowboy fans in your life they had the pick right in front of when Lloyd was taken and had to settle on bringing back Ezekiel Elliott.
