This quadcopter doesn't have incredible performance, but it sure is cool to fly a convincing Millennium Falcon model around the house!
Enjoy!

Love that landing pad!
Great review!
cool and awesome thing to fly
is cool, i like the lights
Cool quad
Pretty cool
Pretty cool. I'd rather have one of these than the helicopter version. I haven't seen these for sale in New Zealand yet.
love your reviews great, great job ryan
+jerryleelewis92 matt kirby Thanks! :)
+Flyin' Ryan RC can you fly it outside
jerryleelewis92 matt kirby Sure, but I would only suggest that in no, to very very low, wind.
Great review! Totally want to take this Thursday when I'm in line to see episode 7 haha
+John Frederick That would be a hit! :D
Mine crapped out after about an hour of flying. Had to return it to the store since it kept flipping on its back or getting stuck flat against a wall. Really thought it was a ton of fun while it worked.
+Adam Leslie Getting stuck flat against a wall is a natural occurrence due to the aerodynamics of a quad... that is in no way a flaw. And if it flipped over on its back, that could likely be due to the props being on in the wrong places, if you removed them and replaced them at all.
look a lot better than the battle falcon one from yesterday nice review Jedi knight.
+Billy Rodaway Hehe, thanks! :)
Congratulations on 50,000 subscribers Ryan!!!!
+Fast n' Furious RC Thanks! :D
This..........is.............AWESOME!!!!
So... I wonder why Air Hogs never seems to use accelerometers or 6 axis stabilization for their quads? I'd also like to see them do more replaceable batteries, although regulations put a damper on that (see Sky Viper).
+KineticIsEpic I understand about the batteries... it's also about durability and simplicity, since their primary market is kids. I would like to see them have a line of models for intermediate pilots as well though. As for 6-axis, I'm not sure... may just be a cost-reducing effort, and not overly necessary in their current ducted-fan design, since aerodynamics do most of that work naturally. I would like to see them integrate accelerometers in the future though, for added stability.
Found this on clearance for $25 yesterday. I know this is kind of old now but I always wanted it. But not at full price!
Totally worth 25 bucks. :)
congrats on 50k awesome to see this great channel grow
+Santosh Kokane Thanks! :D
:) you deserve it
That's pretty cool! I think they should have made this one the battle edition with the IR shooter and fighter and made the 2ch heli just for flying. Its also a little bit pricey. I live in South Africa and I cant find it in store so I would have to get it shipped which makes it over $100.
I am is sa too not many rc stuff available besides cats
+Santosh Kokane cars*
+Brian Evans Hi Brian, greetings from the Free State.
Greetings from KZN
Are there any any screws that hold the two halves of the falcon together? I wanna mod this and turn it into a acro mode fpv quad
No, it's all foam, and probably glued together.
that is super cool ; ) !!!
Wl Toys has the XK line of rc aircraft and I like XK DHC-2 A600 for 78 dollars right now on sale from Banggood, about what that Falcon would cost the average customer at Walmart. I expect something in the 80 dollar price range to fly. The XK micro beaver will out fly the Horizon Hobby Sport Cub S even in a wind. That Falcon is really cool for a shelf queen or a living room novelty flyer. I still think it is on the over priced side of things for what you get and what it does. Nice review Ryan. Have a Merry Christmas.
+Cory Reeves Well, you aren't comparing apples to apples. For one, you are comparing Chinese brands with no customer support to American brands with customer support and all the overhead of doing business in America. And you are also forgetting the licensing fees involved with Star Wars products, as well as increased price purely due to supply and demand. ;)
I didn't forget my dollars go in their pockets. I am a Star Wars collector, and I turned that down until they get real with the costs.
Pretty cool, but wouldn’t pay more than the 49 buck Canadian I did when it was on sale, still love the FALCON!
Well its not gona do the Kessel run in less than 5 parsecs but it does look kool and fun! I'll think I'll wait till the after xmas sale and see if i can find one for a good deal. :)
+Cy Lon Haha, indeed. :) And, btw, are you still doing tricopter builds? I'm still looking to get my first, and still can't believe that they aren't available in RTF form yet!
I've been doing lots of builds for sale lately, mostly mini and micro quads but I'm sure i could whip out a Tri for ya!
Cy Lon Nice! Where do things stand in the tricopter world these days... any cool enclosed canopy frames available yet, or is it still pretty much all the exposed frame/electronics look?
This one isn't fully enclosed but it was made by the master of tricopters! I also have friends that can 3d print up some side skirts to give it a enclosed feel. rcexplorer.se/product/minitricopter-kit/
The HK one that you liked was on sale for xmas, I was just a bit late to get one. :(
Cy Lon I absolutely dig that, as-is! That is close enough to enclosed for me. :D And, I have no desire for FPV, so that could simplify it a bit. I don't even care to mount of a camera of any type on it. I just want to fly it. :) I would be more interested in some LEDs on it, more than camera gear. Is there anything similar to that design, but maybe even a bit smaller? Is there a better place to continue this discussion? You disappeared from Facebook... heh
hi Ryan,
well I went to check that machine for you this morning and I ended up taking one home even though I wasn't that pushed to get another.
the brand is called "Thinkway Toy's"...made in China.
According to the manual it's a four channel machine with a 6 axis Giroux and controller is 2.4ghz.
It is not as well detailed as your machine and I think it's body is just regular Styrofoam.
Ridiculous charge time so I'll tell you if it's any good later buddy.
Nice. Yeah, that is the one I knew about. I tried getting my hands on one, but it can't be found anywhere in America. I almost wonder if Air Hogs sealed some sort of deal for exclusivity in America.
a cockpit camera would be really cool😀
Haha yeah that would be awesome. :)
I've seen a larger version with the TX shaped as the falcon also.
retailing for €150 Ryan.
As I am not such a big fan I have been waiting for a price reduction.
Do you recall the brand of the other one? I think there is one by ThinkWay Toys (makers of the AT-AT that I reviewed), but last time I looked into it, I couldn't get it here in America. :(
its the felix x4 but just in a different foam body. so youre just paying an extra 40-50 dollars more for just a different peice of foam.
+Tyler Lawson It's a lot more than a "piece of foam".... it's the Millennium Falcon!
lol. ur right!
so coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
Some genius could just use that as a shell and make a real speedy FPV version
Louis S.W thanks for the idea
ima bout to try that, i'm looking for anyone who has already done it
Where did you get your helipad from ?
+Quad Almighty Amazon... but the price is about double right now because they are almost out of stock. The maker tells me that they should have more in about 4 weeks, and it will be a new and improved version. :) amzn.to/1OuCHEH
I did a quick video demo...I'll upload it later buddy👍
Sweet, thanks! :)
looks like the price right now on amazon is up to $114
It doesnt have a camera does it??
No
I'm not sure about the brand Ryan😕,
I'll have another look in to it for Yahoo buddy☝
it's a propel drone
Do you know the rc sailors
Yep!
Janet Marinelli i love abby and nate!
ryan can you please do review of x31.0 please im lucking to buy it so there is no english review so if you can do it please and you are realy good reviewer so im subscribed to you ty.
+Matej Peteranec That looks like a simple rebranding of the Syma X5C, which I have already reviewed. :)
+Flyin' Ryan RC rebranded X5C oh that is good quadcopter this X31.0 is simular bat not same syma made it so that shud be good quadcopter TY
CCCOOL!!! ... but a little expensive.
I just watched world best review. Didn't miss a tiny detail. Wow
it's very nice
How much is it
+Rue and Goose Price and purchase link can be found in the video description.
review a fx force lightsaber next
I only review RCs though.
Frequent Flier had one of these and it did not fly very well, have to be real gentle to fly it, the heli game actually flies better this is a great shelf display unit but the price....
+Anthony Eaglebarger (toysoldier46552) The heli does not fly better than this by any stretch of the imagination. heh And, I think it flies just fine for what it is... it's obviously not meant for outdoor or sport flying. But, if you fly it as I did in my review, I think it's just fine. :)
Flyin' Ryan RC I am not that gentle, even indoors :)
Air Hogs make some cool rc vehicles.
But the price is..................too.............expensive...
If it was more....reasonably priced..
Wow! It's just too expensive. However it looks good.
+Professor Knotready Schtop Yeah, I'm sure that Star Wars license really adds a lot to the price.
+Flyin' Ryan RC can you do review of quadcopter named X31.0 please im want to boy it but there is no review on english TY.
+Flyin' Ryan RC i really want to know where u get the helipad from
Bunny Films I got it on Amazon, but they are currently sold out: amzn.to/1So6uGe
i feel like we've seen the star wars stuff bye now...
(don't get me wrong i love star wars but im here voor good flyi'n stuff and not like just a quad with a body and a licence)
+Wout Chauvaux Well, sorry to break it to you, but not every video I make is made specifically for you. ;) There will be a lot more Star Wars RC reviews coming, so maybe move on, and check back in a week or so.
+Flyin' Ryan RC okay, i officially love how you react haha and okay ill wait a bit XD
+Wout Chauvaux Hahaha :)
I dunno why he didn't just say it's a Mode 2 transmitter.
You think that the average person buying Air Hogs, or other toy-grade RCs, knows what "Mode 2" means?
@@theimacman Nope, but it is easy to look up compared to other things that seem to have much harder to find information for. In any case, I once had a toy-grade heli (full metal chassis, would've dropped like a brick if the throttle were less than 15%) that was listed as Mode 2. A really old one. Bought a bit before getting my MSR in 2012.
Well, part of the purpose of my reviews is to help people know how to use the product, instead of using a bunch of terms they have to then go look up to make any sense of what I'm talking about.
@@theimacman I completely understand that. If I might suggest, you could note in toy reviews if a radio is Mode 1/2/3/4 on the side. If they were to try to buy a new aircraft after that they might end up getting something that flies on an unfamiliar mode.
They sell $420 brand new. I gave $7 for mine.
Ive never seen one cost that much lmao
$35 on clearance for mine.
Hey Flyin Ryan don't forget the register that you might bring down a satellite or something with that......LOL. What are your plans for this drone registration nonsense....
+William Carrey As much as I hate government control and over-regulation, I am going to go ahead and register during the first 30 days, while it's free. I rarely fly quads that are over the weight limit anyway, so it won't really affect me at all. I do worry that this is just the start though, and they will only get more and more restrictions with time.
one hour charge time?...that's just sad😧
A one hour charge is actually perfect. A 1C charge generally takes about an hour, and that is the best rate to charge the battery at for overall longevity. :)
That's pretty standard for Air Hogs. They take about an hour to charge and it flies for about 5 minutes.
Oof
hello again Ryan l,
I just tried my Falcon for the first-time this afternoon and my first impression is...meh😕
it looks and feels cheap.
very basic detail and flimsy cheap Styrofoam body.
Two rate's...slow and slowest.
one single left flip and no underside detail.
this ones going back in the box and in the closet👎
Bummer! Thanks for the review though. Guess I won't go out of my way to try to get myself one. haha
