I have a Dell Latitude 5290 2 in 1 (basically a Surface pro 6 but heavier and more repairable) and a Steam Deck LCD and I just replaced both with this one device. I really like my Dell and I really wanted to like my Steam Deck but the screen was far too small for me and there a were a couple of games that either couldn't run or ran too poorly to enjoy. This device is great for my use case as 60% of the time it is my tablet 20% of the time it's a laptop and it's a handheld for the other 20%. Unless someone builds a something similar with better controllers and a better GPU I will be keeping this for a long time.

I might be the perfect target audience for this. I want to upgrade my stema deck since I want a bit more performance and I need to upgrade my laptop since its quite old now. I could probably buy a rogy ally x for 800£ and a cheap new laptop, or buy a cheap gaming laptop for 800£, but first option leaves me with no good laptop and second option leaves me with no portable gaming. The X1 seems to be a good 2in1 device that can replace both my laptop and my steam deck. Keep in mind that my current laptop is the 12" PixelSlate tablet so the 11" X1 should be ok size wise for me.

Worth it when you spend 1000 plus on a device for gaming you want that device to run games very good. If you had bought a gaming pc from Dell or alienware or something and it did that you would return it. I don't think it's a fair price for what you get. Also, I thought at one time they had a device that was like the steam deck but bigger and it did well from what I remember. So I don't understand why they went from that to this. I have my lcd steam deck and I would still choose my lcd steam deck over that even if I was given a choice to have one for free... And my reasoning is not the way it looks or that it's not in a steam deck form. It's because out of the box you had issues with it and it didn't run very good. I would be interested to know how it runs with bazzite. Please make that video😅 love your channel, your awesome

You kinda need that for a display like this, low specs like this, and using a controller. You'll get crazy screen tearing that will make the experience a nightmare.
Normally you can switch on VRR to help with that, but this does not support VRR. So Vsync it is.

At 11", one might as well play on the TV instead. 8" might be the sweetspot. Just need a 1440p or 4k HDR 8" screen now.

Can get it if you're willing to go Android. Kind of defeats the purpose though unless you already have a decent PC you can stream to the handheld. Or ps5 or Xbox in a pinch, I guess.

It's cool but this is my issue with handhelds getting bigger. I love my iPad but I don't want that to be a handheld as it's too big. This is way too big for a handheld, it's a tablet with controllers attached to the side. At this point you're better off with a laptop, a gaming laptop. Get the Legion Go if you want a big handheld

Portrait display with sideways overlays, a driver pack that doesn't install correctly...yup that seems like trademark One-Netbook half-baked development. And don't think they'll ever fix anything either, nobody in their company knows the word "support"
I'm shocked anyone still buys their junk.
