My favorite tuning video of yours. I have the 210, same year. Great work and I'll buy my carb from your site Rileys Rebuilds, I found it. Thanks Riley for your great work on carbs.
Pretty cool, i didn't know how duals work. May be we could see y'all tackle a six pack mopar some day lol? Keep up the great work team Riley. Good luck with college and working on the side. 💪❤
Love these videos. The visual and physical investigation process is always fun! This one has has some fuel pressure issues and for sure neglect/lack of a good tune. Primary carb is always a rear with that style progressive linkage but its always a challenge on those tight set ups. Good work sorting through some of the idle issues! Keep tuning! Dual quads are a time sink.
Might be wrong..but I though 3:46 t Black Widow was based on a 150 utility sedan with rear seat delete and fixed glass in quarter windows..we called them "business coupes" I have a 56 150 utility built by Pacific Bell in Oakland..army green with a six cylinder and three speed with O.D. Grew up with tri fives..
I have the 56 150 utility that delivered phone books to my parents home..Pacific Bell Telephone car assembled in Oakland with one piece frame and six cylinder with three speed and overdrive. Wish I had kept it original...
Yes you do have a large vacuum leak. Your drivers side valve cover vent cap appears to be vented directly to the front carburetor main vacuum port. The correct system should have a Positive CrankCase Valve in that breather access on that valve cover. Check that breather cap for a functioning PCV. If it’s not, that’s a high volume vacuum leak……The passenger side valve cover should have a breather that can flow though type, venting the CrankCase. That Passenger side oil fill cap appears to be a closed cap with no vent. Observed at the camera angle in the video.
Check the ignition timing first off, cause of stumble? Dual quad way over fueled for an sbc? Not really, when sized properly, most likely they are on this nice of a car? So adjust the linkage properly for WOT as usual for the whole reason of having dual quads.

Another great video, l used to read smokeys column in hot rod magazine, a lot of nascar rules are because of him
Awesome!! thank you for commenting
I know it's not period correct, but a lot of things on that car aren't so I would do a dual master cylinder upgrade ASAP.
What size cu. In. Is the engine those are new edelbrock carbs they are way bigger than the 2x4s that would have come withva 270 hp. 283.
Wasn’t the black widow fuel injected?
silicon on vacuum caps? come on girl!!!

Real Black Widows were built from utility sedans and didn't have rear seats or roll down rear windows .
