I'm surprised that for a show car; it has the gold grille option, the overrider bumperette option, wonder bar radio, tinted glass.... lots of options but NO Rubber Bumper tips. I would've thought those automatically came with a Nomad. I can understand the 3-speed stick.... if this is the solid-lifter 283, then it could only come with the 3-speed stick. Power Brakes are also precluded probably because such a hot motor couldn't develop enough vacuum for power brakes.

every car has a story, this one is better than most. Pretty special car. It's going to be hard for you guys to see it go. Hope it brings enough cash to get over that pain.

Just bought an 850 for my 455 Stroker gto. Zero issues with driveability other than being rich at idle. Just gotta tune it a little. About to throw the demon 750 in the garbage 😆

When you have an opportunity a more in depth Preventive Car care video might also include checking your tire pressure, how to check for the proper amount of Tire Tread, how to clean battery posts, changing Windshield Wipers, and maybe even how to change a burned out Tail Light Bulb. My exact same carburetor on my 1978 Lincoln Mark V was perfectly fine until it started giving me problems a few weeks back. started with it surging the engine, i checked it out and saw one of the mounting studs is loose, and the upper gasket is leaking gas. I just rebuilt it a few months ago. so i took it out and ordered a new upper gasket, replaced the gasket and tightened the stud and nut, still leaking but now from the accelerator pump shaft that goes into the carb itself. and on top of that the accelerator pump seal broke because i misaligned it while putting it back together. ordered a new accelerator pump... now today i got the engine idling good and took it for a drive, breaks down on me while on a busy road... tapping the carb and trying to start the engine, finally starts up again. while driving home engine barely wants to stay alive while i give it gas, i assume its the accelerator pump and its adjustment. i put everything back the way it was and made sure the accelerator pump seal doesnt get caught and tears. i don't know... this carb is giving me too many issues, i think i should just get a brand new one. same exact carb, 1978 Motorcraft 4350 D8VEGA.
