If you used the pard 008 s lrf, it would be much smaller, much lighter, not require an added IR light, be able to range and calculate your pellet drop all in one package. I swapped from this wraith in this video, the pard I mentioned and it is so much better you can't even compare.
@@fieldsportcymru4636 I agree the controls are a little more complex BUT ultimately the setup is much more simple, example: With the wraith I had to use a separate range finder, then pull out my phone and input that into Strelok (ballistics app) then go back to my rifle to take the shot hoping the quarry hasn't moved. With the pard I see the critter , I range it with the scope, the scope tells me where to aim and bang it's dead. No fuss no messing around with multiple items and phones.
What we would have done for something like this back in the day. Non of that lugging a motorbike battery and a halfords spotlight for miles over rough ground. Thats an accurate rifle but only as good as the person doing the shooting and that was some good shooting. Impressive stuff all round.
Lol ohhh i well remember lamping with the old lead acid motor bike batteries, it was mainly lurchers for me back then ,collie greyhound, but did some .410 and air gun shooting too . At country shows you could always spot the hardcore lampers by the bloody big holes in their coats were the acid had eaten them away from spills
@@fieldsportcymru4636 Aye many a jacket holed like that. I had lurchers back then one of which was a beardy greyhound bred by David Hancock great dog bags of stamina but struggled a bit in small fields.I went over to Bedlington whippets great little dinner dogs better suited to conditions round here.
@@fieldsportcymru4636 My hancock lurchers sire was david jones i forget the name of his dam. Did you go to Sutton Coldfield to his small holding to pick your dog up? He was some bloke David i've never seen a place like it from that day to this. Lovely guy David though salt of the earth knew his stuff too.
Rabbits? It looks more te be used against aliens🤣 Is it pin point accurate like a laser? LOL i understand you're happy with your ghost. Not my cup of tea but that's a question of taste. Most important you can kill rabbits and pest with it 👍Never run out of pellets........
I gave up on this bloke couple of years ago ground hog day every gun he has is the best (the dogs) then a few weeks later it's up for sale it just goes on and on and on and on. Thought he might have changed, hell he must have waisted thousands and thousands, don't know what he's chasing,
Just purchased my Ghost Plus .22 last week (revised model) and yes it is pin point accurate, insanely accurate! This depends on the person pulling the trigger though @rapalaron6348. The Lother Walther barrels are very precise and are well engineered. Pellet choice? these barrels are not fussy but I don't accept choices and try many brands it comes down to the true shooter knowing their feel of their rifle and how to engage with it and not just rely on target shots. Maybe you are a true shooter and know about elevation and windage and the weight of each pellet without weighing each one and have the experience of knowing this? Mindset is a skill.

Owned one of the Pard lrf found it good but the controls are not as intuitive to use on a walked hunt at night

I like the idea of the sliding scope rail. Do you know what makers barrels they are using in the ghost.
Lothar walther
Hi great shooting mate could you tell me if the gun is a 22 or 177 and how many pellets does the magazine hold.

Does this have an anti double load feature?
No sadly the new Daystate mags dont
Very nice but u think the Sightmark 4 k mini would suit it better👍
Probably but 150 quid more expensive

Oh thats just a very cheap moddy ,its not going to be a permanent fixture

This is sub 12 but they make FAC and the .30 cal does 100 foot pounds apparently
