Can I afford one? No I can’t! Did I enjoy this review yes I did! Very much so, although with this type of gun it’s also very much about having to have an FAC which is very difficult to obtain and all the rules and regulations that come with it! Compared to a normal sub twelve foot pounds air rifle, that said, it’s still great to see what is out there! Respect!👍🏻
Good morning everybody , and our Host Andy , it`s a fab looking rifle today . Thank you for your work Andy ... Have a great day everybody ....
Morning, how are you today?
@@sergentcolon1 hello , iam not bad thanks ... cloudy here . shooting my kral np03 today ... it`s a great shooter and only cost around £400 lol .. how are you this wk ?
As the lady sang, "You've got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true." Thanks for the name check, more power to your elbow on the Green Air Project.
Great review Andy. I have the 70cm /6.35mm reversion and regularly shoot out to 150m here in the Czech Republic. I get the best accuracy at that range using JSB Knock Out 33.49gr slugs at 90-100 ft/lb muzzle engery.
I agree the gun is very well made and a delight to shoot. Yes, heavy but rock-solid from a rest. My understanding of Czech ( particularly the technical aspects) is still limited, so your review enlightened me somewhat, even though I,ve had the gun for over 4 months now! So thanks again.
Harry
I know everyone waxes lyrical about Zan slugs. However I have tried them in .22 FAC & .25 FAC FX 700mm & 500mm unchoked with just one weight out of the entire range being accurate for each calibre. H&N have been the most acurate in every grain. Cheap and cheerful.
Zans are known to be garbage. Made from recycled car battery lead. Not sure where you hear they're great? Unless you're going off paid youtubers/influencers. Only thing I've seen Zans used for is being melted down to make some cast slugs for a big bore
Why is it always
.22 cal. light weight slugs?
How about .25 cal. with 40 grains or heavier?
@@eaSTS9im not sponsored by zan but u can watch my groupings with zan 41gr .25 😊
Another cracking review. Maybe the comparison is the Hi Fi world where there's really no upper limit and it's not simply a luxury market for the wealthy, it's an opportunity for engineers to push boundaries in something relatively commonplace - there's room for all of us & you can still get pure enjoyment from Pink Floyd on a Dansette as much as a Linn. The slug findings were interesting!
Good stuff. Nice to see some full power reviews from you again.
Those Zan's were running a bit hot and 21grn at almost 1100 they won't be happy needs more mass definitely try them at 910-950. Shooting slugs is a whole other hobby imo 😅
Good morning shooting friends! After watching this new outstanding review I'll be out sending some lead down range 🙂
greeetings , have a fine day
Thanks
Big thank you for this review Andy.
Just wanted to thank you Andy for a good show. Helped me make a decision on a few buys recently. Along with another channel airgun detectives you guys do your work very well and are very informative thanks
Great review, the gun looks awesome! A comparison between the Epic Two and the FX King would be awesome too 🙂
Hi Andy
I think when they asked for that camera angle they wanted it as well as your current set up. so one on you, one behind you and the one at the target. I agree as it prooves the distance your shooting at. So no more doubt...
Hi Andy imo the first slugs definitely to light for the fast speed SIR. Thanks for sharing this amazing rifle with us 🎯🇬🇧👍🏼
Brilliant grouping there matey 🤘😁🤘 I've just got a 2nd hand FX impact MK3 and I'm loving the extra power 😁
Nice one Andy i to have no luck with the Zans in my FX King so i also use the 25 Gr H/Ns which shoot awesome at 100 yards plus if i be truth full.
I'm impressed ! Out of my price range but a shooting buddy has the sub-12 version (from Vector Air) and it's a stunning bit of kit.
The epic is a amazing air rifle, which is well worth its price 🏷️ but I just love pulling her out at the range,it’s so manny a joy just to watch me shot😊
I had a little Issues wit mine ( 700 mm LW - 4.5 mm FAC )
It did not shoot well, but Epic very helpful and i have gotten my LW barrel replaced with a CZ one they have tested before sending to me, so should be able to get on with Two in the week to come.
Mind you weather included and it will probably first be the end of the week before i can go shoot it
Great follow up review, thats pretty good accuracy. As you say if finding the right slug it may be even better.
Didn't sound too loud but might have been due to possition of microphone.
As a non- fac shooter now really enjoyed watching.
great review Amdy but there is a little discrepency at 4:37 when you talk about the safety you accidentally swap them around up is fire and forward is safe, and you say up is safe and forward is fire just a minor "faux-pas". Could also be the extra 5 grains in weight between the slugs zan were 20gr and the H&N were 25, i have the same with my 40j coyote, it prefers the 23-30gr slugs over the 20gr
Great review. Absolutely love mine Epic 2. Got my LW poly 550 .22 barrel kit for it. Hope to test it soon.
Look forward to your video every week!
Thank you for the nice video to watch at the end of a long week.
Hello from Fancy Farm Kentucky U S A. I enjoy your videos.
Morning Andy, Great review.
The epic range is epic 😜
Good morning Andy big thank you and your team as well your family for showing us all the air rifles and pistols out there in all price ranges andy and no matter what others say we do loved to see all types of air rifles and air pistols from all price ranges as well and i hope that some of the lower end air rifles companies will do some non-chock barrels for the under the 12ft*lb air rifles as well to make it easier to slugs in the future in 0.177 and higher air rifles (Caliber) please forgive me if the word is wrong as i am not able to write but saying the words to Google and some times give me the wrong words ladies and gentlemen but can read and write little words with the help from my wife and daughter thank you ladies and gentlemen of airgun world
Woah, great shooting considering the wind conditions. You can really see it shaking the camera a bit.
Very nice indeed.👍
So honest question when changing pellets or pellets to slugs etc. Does the barrel need to have several rounds of the pellet/slug of choice to be "seasoned" for accuracy? And greetings from North Augusta SC. Love the show. And hopefully you can get your hands on a Umarex Notos for your review.
Morning Andy, nice review, well presented , ive been looking at applying for a ticket for a while now as the local range is very capable and able to accommodate the use of FAC weapons. To be honest im just put off by the overzealous , heavy handed and from stories in the press and a local account totally pointless snatch back raids by the police. I cant figure out what their agenda is but until its clarified or at least explained my dreamed of rifles both air and rimfire remain on the gunshop shelf. What have we come too ?
Loved the review .
Dave
i own this version 700 mm .22 cz barrel and it shoots the JSB 25.4 redesign deep really wel (reg at 110-120 bar) speed 950 FPS. And the H&N 25 grain 218 shoot great at 940 FPS same settings. Tested deadly accurate at 55 meters indoor. At 96 meters indoor real thight grouping but also the occasional shots that get away from me and spoils the grouping. Hold pellet or slug? to be determined. Still getting to learn the Epic
Nice looking gun but for accuracy I will give credit to Andy for excellent shooting.
I hope someday and can review Fx impact 3.
Really nice and powerful rifle.
Nice one Andy! ATB Rack.
Thank you, looking forward to seeing what you think about the Epic too. Andy
with that full tank & shooting @ 100 meters, how shots before out of gas?
and what is fps @ 100 meters?
last what is the best hand pump to use & how many pumps until fully filled before getting a heart attack?
Nobody uses a pump for an fac pcp airgun. You need a high quality compresor or a 6 to 9 litre fill bottle. They use a lot more air and you get far less shots per fill compared to a sub 12 pcp airgun.( Carbon fibre bottles are far lighter than steel.)
Hi Andy!
Were the slugs the same weight and both .217 or .218? Or were the ZAN's even .219? Çause this can make a HUGE difference!!
I take it you're not too familiar with shooting slugs?
Nice shoutout to Giles. Miss his regular posts.
Hello Andy, good evening from Spain. I want to thank you first of all for the great and good work you do. I really like your videos and since I discovered you I have been a follower of yours. This pcp is awesome. I liked it a lot and the print run was great. You are very right about the pellets, the cannons are capricious and they are the ones who choose their ammunition. I really like Zan pellets. It is a shame not to be able to get some models that you have there such as the Crosman Hollow Point in Spain. I would really like to be able to contact you because I am really interested in several pcp but I am having a hard time deciding. One of them is the Bullpup Gamo Furia or Gamo Boxer and I love it. Is it really worth it? I would really like to know and share your experience. Sorry that this video is not about this PCP, my English (I'm still studying to perfect it) and for any inconvenience it may have caused you. Thank you very much for this contribution, your time and effort. I look forward to your next video. A greeting from Spain.
Nice gun, superb rewiew
Would love some more info on choked and unchoked barrels. Regards nick
Great review, how about the sub 12 out to that distance as a comparison?
Not enough money for one of them. But what about kral jumbo hi cap??? 😊
Just a thought, put every shot over a chronograph, you will be able to see if the vertical spread is down to variation in fps, that's how we test reloads
Scope cam 👍
Andy could you give the price on the tri-pid please, thank you for another honest goid video
Never been a fan a zan slugs I can’t seem to get a decent grouping with them , h&n all the way!
Another good review thanks Andy.
Barrel on this verzion is CZ or LW ?
Are you due a delivery of polo shirts, I wanted three but the colours I wanted were not available in size XL.
Looking at that why do I keep thinking of a Browning 50cal machine gun?
Do a review on the fx drs in fac please
I so thought this was one of those ‘epic fail’ videos at first glance. 😅
Morning all
Greetings , hope our ok
"Evening all "😊
Regarding the barrel, is it a solid construction or some sort of thin liner under the carbon wrap?
The barrels are proper barrels, not recalling the OD ( 16 - 18 mm i assume ) but VERY far from the FX straw barrels.
The carbon are not just a look pretty wrap, that is actually the barrel tensioning system, a extra on many other brands.
When shooting the Two it do dump air back into that shroud, and it do vent in the back of it, something that caught me out at first.
@@peashooter950 thanks for the info, the straw barrels do worry me as I’m looking for a stiffer/stronger setup for field work
@@transformeruk5300 well i am locked to .177 / 4.5 mm so i assume see less of the challenges associated with the thin FX barrel on my Maverick.
But it cant be all bad CUZ FX still sell a ton of rifles, and they have also performed well at competitions.
The Two are a damn heavy rifle at least in my full fledged long version, i would have to request the strength of my youth back to carry it into the woods or fields.
The Two is also a tensioned barrel, so aside for its 16 mm size it is encased in the carbon fiber tensioning system which i assume also add to its tensile strength.
But 16 mm i think are it for the regular barrels from Lothar Walter / CZ and so on, only now with the new Karma brand do you get more solid in their 26 mm bull barrels, but they in turn are even heavier rifles as they are made for bench shooting.
You should probably also ask yourself. What am i willing / able to carry around. And at what distances do you expect to engage targets.
If you are down around 50 yards / Meters, you should easy be able to make so with a compact of some sort ( the Two also some in a short version )
I figure a compact rifle got to be more easy to carry around VS a full length rifle, and so that way also add in a positive way to the risk of failure.
Morning could u do a review on the bottle version. 177 fac?
Nice.
First of all love what you do and have been watching for years but I couldn't help notice at the end of this vid you said along the lines of the epic has more years in it than I gun which is electronic?
I have two guns bsa clx bolt action and daystate alpha wolf I take it you refer to the alpha wolf
I personally after nearly a year's use have had no issues In any way shape or form the gun sub 12 .22 by the way is extremely accurate and from my own point of view build quality is 1st class.
Now where I brought the rifle from said they are extremely reliable and yes they have had a few issues with some of them but no more than every other rifle now then is this true or did they sell me some porky pies?
Also if the electronics go wrong does that mean ga me over then?
When you gonna review BSA Scorpion TS ?

just subscribed! your content and presentation is awesome mate :)
Welcome aboard!
I like your show, I collect cowboy co2 guns and other stuff.
Me too, got 4..peacemakers 5.5 inch barrels 3 are pellets 4th is bb only they're in black worn x2 one is nickel silver and the bb only is blued.
Then l have the Remington 1875 or cowboy model as its sometimes called 7.5 inch barrell in nickel silver.
Then l have 3 Schofield M3s, one in nickel silver, one in aged black and the third is bb only and iss in grey metal but looks for all the world like smoked glass beautiful to look at and pretty powerful and accurate for a bb.
I also have an 1894 Henry Rifle bought it at xmas still havent shot it yet, waiting for better dry weather as it ejects the shells all over the place lol.
I have some more guns l call classic makes ( not a fan of the modern ones Glocks, Desert Eagles etc dunno why but they just dont appeal to me.
I have a Luger P08 Blowback. In black but l coloured the grips to that reddish brown look the old ones have and l aged it by rubbing off the finih on edges that would have rubbed over time.
Also got the Broom Handled Mauser with Wooden holster/ butt.. I aged that too in the same way and darkened the grips..
I have as well a Webley VI in 22. Keep meaning to age it but someone wants to buy it off me as it is pristine condition he's offered me £300 but l don't really want to sell it, but he's a mate soooo I'm thinking about it.
My last few guns are a Walther P38 blowback
, 2 Walther PPKs great little blowback guns...
A Winchester pistol.. Looks very much like a Colt Python 4 inch barrel
In silver
Second from last l hve a Gletcher Nagant revolver in black but you can get it in silver.
And last but not least the classic 1911 semi auto blowbck Remingtons version.
I like them all but the colts are my favorites l wish l could obtain the 7.5 inch barrel version but they are like hens teeth to locate aas was the Broom Handled Mauser l got very lucky.
Yep the weztern guns are best even tho not completely historically correct as the grips are longer to house the co2 bulbs as you'll no doubt know.
I'd say the barrels are smaller in diameter too but not by much l have a Kolser replica and it's barrels diameter is noticeably bigger, it was 5.5 inch barreled but l dremmeled off the length to 4.38 inches so its in line with the end of the ejector rod shroud.
It has the normal colt sized grip and l wanted to practice fastdraw so made it the standard length the Americans use and yes l bought 3 holsters a left and right and a left cross drw as I'm left handed mostly.
Im near 67 butlove guns all my life then discovered the co2 replicas about 2 years ago and decided to enjoy my then forth coming retirement.
They're gret fun arent they
You could use that as an oversized pistol with the stock folded.
Aiwa 😘💕👍👍

What does FAC version mean?
Guugle uk fac itll tell you
@@evzevz06 Now, instead of teasing me, what if you answered my question and you took the trouble to answer it?
@@mohammad-javad-mj would have been quicker for you to google it than reply to me
@@mohammad-javad-mjWould've been quicker and easier to get more information about it if you did that.
Basically, You need a license for it
@@mohammad-javad-mj FAC is the full power version not available in the UK unless you process a license . The UK regulates their airguns much like a real firearm to 12 fpe.
❤❤❤
Lovely piece of kit but the 22lr is much more capable at a fraction of the cost.
Morning
Lovely gun, but I think the stumbling block in the UK is FAC requirement rather than price. I'm ex services and semi retired, and love your programs, but with the ever increasing restrictions on firearms, and air weapons, I find myself shying away from buying a serious target weapon, and enjoy a simple CO2 plinking toy that'll hopefully not upset my neighbours. Sadly there's very few shooting ranges within South Wales where I can satisfy my interest in this hobby, and I only see this diminishing year on year.
It brings an extra dimension to the classic Rimfire Versus FAC air rifle comparison that can only be conducted at 100 (or perhaps beyond?)
Thank you.
a sako 85 legend of a gun £1300 .223 cal
Interesting
Looks like a neo-modern post-retro Steampunk™ rifle. 🥳
Also, is it possible to create a tank stopping PCP rifle?
Might as well take up long distance Sewing as a pastime ! ..
Fac is out of the reach of most of us because 1, we are new and 2, we cant get a perm to get a licence
As i understand it,Epic are bringing walnut and plywood, sorry Laminate stocks to the UK for a more traditional look..
I can see why you need the tripod given it comes in at 10lbs.
In your reviews on this gun you failed to mention that when you swap the cocking lever over to left hand pull it renders the folding stock useless as it will not close just sent mine back for a refund 🤦♂️
Great to see what I cant have ,analogy of driving a ferrari doesnt work ,I can buy a ferrari if i have the cash ,but cant have an FAC without a reason however much cash I have
simple…if you can afford a Ferrari, you could probably afford enough land to be able to shoot on and get and FAC no problem! 😉👍
So, cover plates for the skeletonised butt, with matching hand grips would be a nice accessory,....
Less and less of those will be available in uk .Bless this BBC trained northerner .Labour will reduce FACs and ban shooting outside of highly regulated club s by 2030
they do go to .25 not 9mm.
Hello 👋
You obviously have a good rifle, but you have to put in the effort because in such laboratory conditions you made a sieve, not counting that one shot behind the target, which is unacceptable.
You can shoot at three hundred meters without fear at one hundred meters, but in the limited version this accuracy is achieved by the HW 100 and I generally shoot at one hundred and fifty meters.
Best regards 😀💥
26g zans work better sir
Same set up for a 12 pound max air rifle will get same results. Gun was almost in a vice only had to load and pull trigger 😊
👍🏴😁✌️
I wonder who is the target audience (sorry about the pun). A bit too heavy for vermin control? Why not go for a .22RF? Is it a niche market?
If you are going to go for a FAC, why spend a fortune on an air rifle when .22 rimfires are so cheap and a mass to choose from.

how are you this wk ?

Hi Simon!
I've been all good, thank you for asking. How you been?
What did you think of this FAC version Epic2? You'd pay that amount - or would you choose something else instead?
Personally, still would rather go for a Huben K1 myself. The K1 still #1 on my "Want - list"..😁
@@brorjordas1979 Glad our doing ok ... iam not bad thanks .. i would not pay that big amount ! it looks like an FX dreamline , So thats whot i`d do and save 1,400 pounds 😁😁🙃 Whot would you buy ? have a nice day

😆
I don't know if it's the Slugs (it's not the shooter's fault) but I wasn't impressed with the group. With my Vulcan 3 700MM I do these groups at 100 meters all day long. And it cost me 800 euros less than Epic costs.
Might just be the very first shots through it or something, I had a different one which from new was wildly inaccurate, after about 1500 pellets it was spot on. Just needed a lot of lead down it before it performed
@@evzevz06 This happened with the old barrels. Now that no longer happens. My Vulcan, RTi prophet and most of the fx barrels I have for the wildcat have the same behavior from the first shot to this day with thousands of shots each of them. They don't get better or worse. They are all capable of making groups at 100 meters the size of that group if not better. I have a barrel FX (late 2020 version if I'm not mistaken 600mm) that makes groups like these at 200 meters if there's no wind. Makes groups (10 shots) the size of a 2 euro coin at 200 meters
@@starlightHT ah I see, any idea what they changed is it some sort of coating inside the barrel or something? And is that still a problem on stuff that can be bought now is there some marking or way of knowing, "out the box this should be spec and out the box that one will need lead down it"
@@evzevz06 It has to be asked then why the reviewers don't actually put some lead down range getting to know the gun before e filming? Often they put a few shots through to roughly zero, shoot a group and that's the review??
Looks like a AAA Evol rip off.
A lot cheaper to buy 22lr than this thing . Not liking .
Andy read the comments , your reviewing air rifles people are not intrested in , for me FAC air guns are taking all the skill away from the sport ......1 hundred meters away from a rabbit or a woodpidgeon , how much field craft is required to hit the sweet spot at that distance ???? Nah mate 30 to 40 sub 12 for us people who live in the real world and whos budgets are not as high as some ....the weapon is nice but out of my price range ........do more reviews on lower priced items save the FAC stuff for the bullet boys .......
